Newcastle must give Allardyce time
Kevin Carr's Gloves replied to Bombadil's topic in Newcastle Forum
I agree with the sentiment, but I just hate that patronising, Liverpool-supporting wanker McNulty. Caçapa "out of his depth in the Premier League", he must have seen less games than I have! He should stick to wanking over Liverpool. And neither is sticking with the same manager. Birmingham were under Bruce for 6 years. (I think don't jump down my throat if I am wrong) Bruce did a canny job at Birmingham imo. What did he win? Before I answer, you are taking the piss, right? No I am not in 6 years in charge he has won nothing. Where does that show consistency gets results? Maybe if they were actually real challengers for trophies anyway you'd have a point, but they weren't so i'll say it again... Fuck off Good argument well done. When Sam took over were we challengers for anything? Birmingham has a population of 2,284,065 est even with 3 teams in the local it gives them about as big a support base as us. Plus they have been succesful in the past. So again why does consistency guarantee success? -

Why does Sam need more time???

A professional person in another industry would get a certain amount of time to turn around the situation without the constant ridicule of customers and the press. Marks and Sparks has had a REALLY long slow climb to it's current position from it's crash about ten years back, but it's gained a modicum of success from it. I know this was posted way back but.. The team at Marks posted business plans on how they were going to achieve success. They had quarterly meetings at which proof of improvement was shown and the next stage planned. Below thoose quarterly meetings will have been monthly weekly and daily meetings in which any problems were brought up shared and fixed. At NUFC we have Big Sam not giving any proof of improvement at all. -

You were supposed to download it and have it on in the background while watching Jam 'to simulate surround sound' Ah that'l work class on the piece though. Hopefully its not copywrited though, i mean if they let me D/l it then surely i can use it? Just need a few more now, distant germans screaming etc, whistles/gunfire There's nothing on the site saying its copyrighted so I assume it's a safe bet. Anyway, it's only artillery fire. Yeh i think its looped to an extent too, I bet the director turns around and says 'thats world war two mate, world war two' Why? Is he a cunt? Nah he just wants it accurate. Use sound from Zulu. They did in Gladiator.

Fuck off I would put Joy Division, New Order, The Buzzcocks and happy mondays before that bunch of plagiaristic arseholes. I will probably think of some more just as I press add reply too. -

If Chester were anymore up it's own arse, you would be able to see it peering out of it's own mouth.

Aye sounds sensible. Still not as good as a champions league cup final director obviously and shamefacedly has a plan for the club which is ridiculous but that doesnt sound to stupid. You need to learn how to use commas. You need to get outside.

Magpies want Capello to replace Allardyce

As I was typing it I was wondering that...does it predate the Monty Python "Sick Parrot" sketch? Or did they use the phrase as inspiration? I think its from when they took Birds down the mines in cages to test for gas. I know they werent parrots but i reckon thats where it cmes from Serious man They were probably similar to parrots, wings, beaks etc etc http://www.trevorhampel.com/idiom-15-as-sick-as-a-parrot/ http://www.phrases.org.uk/bulletin_board/4...sages/1156.html http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index...08060124AAGP1Si Psittacosis it seems. -

That the people who want us to give a manager who is not doing well and making odd decisions time. Are confident someone they have no experience of in management would be a complete disaster. Seems some people just like to hear their own opinions sometimes.

Yep. Like I said I quite liked it. How long have you lived there? Unfortunately my entire life until I moved up here last summer, my family are all still down there, generations of born again Stokies lol You don't relise quite how bad the place is until you leave. At one time it at least had an industry but now all that remains are flat packed Asda's and Next's. I spoke to my family the other day and the highlight of the news from Stoke was the fact that they were having a new JJB Sports Gym built! The only place to go for a coffee in Tunstall is Asda and I can't even think where the nearest Starbucks is, possibly Crewe Railway Station. Christ then you move up here and meet Pud. We should do a telathon for you

I Haven't hung around bus stations since I was 13 so wouldn't know. Just realised I stayed in Trentham next to the gardens not Hanley. But went drinking in Hanley and had my curry in Newcastle. Bloody old age

You've never been then. It is actually about 5 towns with Stoke probably being the smallest. I quite enjoyed it when I stayed in Hanley. Also had the nicest curry ever there. Played for Britannia Building socities cricket team. Sorry, Ive got to disagree with you there, Stoke on Trent as a whole is a shit hole, no matter which way you dress up any of the sixtowns, Hanley,Stoke, Longton, Fenton, Burslem and my home town (unfortunatly), Tunstall, which for the record is the smallest. Stoke 'town' itself is full of immigrants, chavers and smelly old bastards who spend all day queuing for their 'social' (benefits that is) I simply can not imagine what you found appealing about a stay in Hanley, although it's the 'better' out of the rest of the towns. I'm imagining the curry you had was from the one and only decent curry place there, but you'd have had to subject yourself to the area of 'Shitty Shelton' in between Hanley and Stoke whereby the average white man feels like the minority and its hardly surprising they can cook up a bit of decent curry since its their national dish. Don't think anyone will recall the old Victoria ground that used to run alongside the A500, its unbelievable to think that Stoke played there right up till they built the new Victoria ground (not that long ago really) it resembled someones backyard. The best thing about Stoke on Trent is the lovely warm feeling you get when you join the M6 North to come to Newcastle! (the real one, not under lyme) (And the bastards play in the same colours as the Makems) In 1997 when I was there, there weren't a lot of immigrants.

We finished 11th in '99-2000 and '00-'01. When would you have advocated sacking Robson? But that season was a great improvement in what had happened before. We started this season with a slight improvement but that did not last long.
