  1. I've always thought the area between Waterloo and London Bridge has horrific architecture, epitomised by Guy's Hospital which for my money is the biggest architectural eyesore in the UK. You aint seen Bridgewater Place then?
  2. My experience was the other way around, met some Australians and some lads from the Shetlands who was good craic. I didn't meet any cockneys though from what I remember=( Naw that Barman was fine, i was just amazed there was an actual queue... i don't mean people spread out along the bar and he remembered who was next, there was a line like in a shop. "Next please"
  3. Stevie, I would agree. The ignorant people I came accross were the toursists. I should of made that more clear in my IP. Especially the Russian slut in 'arrods who barged past me and when I said "Oh excuse me" she didnt look happy! Ant, you obviously have got too used to decent bar staff in Eire. Its shocking here in Leeds. I was in Harrogate the other week with the gfriend and the bar staff there were shite!
  4. You should of kicked off and said "Oh right mate,so if I was black you would assume I was here to stab you!"
  5. Below lad, dont you read Bawan, its getting worse in Leeds man, its full of Southerners you see Sorry, didn't read it properly. London is easily one of the top five cities in the world so you're mad leaving it so long to visit it out of pleasure. I was one of the ignorant idiots when I was younger and of the thought of "Southern faggots" etc and I now boot myself thinking that. It wont be long until I return I know that for sure
  6. I was amazed how long it took me before I heard an English voice really. Nearly 2h! It was a great experiance I must say.

  8. Well guys This weekend I went to London for the first time ever as a tourist and not a football fan (well, Wembley) and I was mega impressed. I stayed at Canery Wharfe and it was minta. As a Structural Engineer it was a total wet dream, I loved it. However on the negative side, the place is full of ignorant people I must say. I asked a women if she wanted a hand with her push chair onto the tube and she looked at me as if I had 4 heads! I opened a door for someone and they looked at me as if I had just spat at them. Weird, weird stuff. Now, I live in Leeds and Ive slowly started seeing this creeping into Leeds, what about anyone else?
  9. It was great in the boozer when the equaliser went in. I and three others jumped up and went mental, the rest looked GUTTED
  10. She is just one person and she isnt doing it half as bad as some people you hear about though?!
  11. Im fucking sick of free loading scum bags. Alex is spot on. EU & Human rights fuck right off. Why should some jumped up fucking Mackem get off scott free because they think they are the law onto themselves? My ex bird is a fucking prime example. She got laid off from her job. She lives in her old mans house that he used to rent out. She lives there rent free because she has no job and he wants to look after his daughter. She also gets:- Money towards rent (She has none?!) Free Council tax Dole money Money towards college fees and bus fairs Fuck knows what else. But I know that she isnt actually ACTIVLEY seeking work. I know this because her old man told me and he even said that the best thing would be for the goverment to tell her that if she doesnt get something in a couple of weeks all this should stop. FUCK THE FREE LOADING WANKERS
  12. OMG!!11 If it's free it will all fall apart!!!1111111one.. The company I work for has just got work with Metronet here to survey the whole underground in London at the cost of £150m, thats the surveying of it, not the works that could come from it. Yes its a 5 year contract however that a substantial cost and as you are aware a lot of it is victorian engineering. We have also got the contract for the NY Subway and thats a cost of $2b. Its not cheap and like Alex said its you or I (tax payers) that pay for it in the end so its not really free. With all due respect 2 billion dollars in the scheme of things is peanuts. Free to use is perhaps a better term, but it don't make keyboard fingers as twitchy as when I say 'free'. For the record water should be 'free' as well. $2b worth for an extension to the subway is still a substantial wad of cash. I know where youre coming from Parky though.
  13. The world is changing and its something thats not seen as correct.
  14. Hmmm, its not right what they did tbh, but on the other hand I am sick of reading articles and they either have "A young muslim women" or "Black youth" or "A young gay man" and the colour or race or sexuality is no importance to the article at all

  16. How would you maintain the lines etc? Its a way of getting cars of the roads though.
