UK life expectancy is 79.4 years. Holland is 79.8 years. Considering we have area of horrific social deprivation, this healthy lifestyle attitude doesn't appear to be paying many dividends. That does suprise me a LOT. I saw one fat person whilst I was there (granted I was only there for 4 days and around Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Delft etc). They all looked well and happy.

I do seriously think that the Dutch attitude and lifestyle is down to having a healthy lifestyle, unlike ours.

Ive just spent 4 days in the Netherlands watching the Giro d'Italia. Bikes fucking EVERYWHERE, it works very well and the people in cars, vans, trucks etc work well with them. They give you a wide bearth as if they were overtaking a parked car (something thats in our highway code IIRC), they give you right of way etc. Something this country SERIOUSLY needs to look at. Southergeordie. I say you boil my piss because you say us cyclists are twats and should be off the road. Its you wankers with fucking engines that need to retake your test. Yes I do having a FULL CLEAN driving license and I am VERY aware of cyclists and other road users because I check my mirrors regually. Also I have specialist cycle insurance that covers PI etc, its sometiing all cyclists should have IMO.

It boils my piss this sort of shit. I am a biker who covers approx 180 mile a week and I have commuted on bike for a while. I see so many jump red lights and then these cunts are the first to complain when cars beep them. I cant stand cyclists who ride on the fucking pavement too. WANKERS. Also, you have to have your whits about you so much to bike in any city. Undertaking trucks etc on a corner, it will only end one way I am afraid.

Did High Street last year from Stavely, a nice 78k ride, was tough climbing up I must say. TNF at Grizedale is Waaaaaaayyyy overated IMO. Mind you, most trail centres are, give me natural MTBing any day. Im sure theres mountain bikers and then theres mountain bikers!!! As cat bells is no Jacks rack to the walkers. Aye, were all different. I rode at Dalby yesterday which is miles better than Grizdale. I went because it was my mates first time riding there. You see funny sights at Trail centres. Goons on Full Sussers and baggy shorts taking backpack full of the kitchen sink Yesterday was sunny and nice, I was wearing my shorts and cycle shirt with gillet, perfect. I saw at least 2 riders with full weather gear on!!
