Manchester United v Newcastle United
wykikitoon replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
I was in the mind of fielding a weakend team earlier this week and last week due to the upcoming games. However, with the injuries that Man Ure have and with Man City & Everton going out, we could possibly have a good chance at this. Although the Chelsea result was something and Arsenal havent played yet. Hmmm. Its a tough choice. -
Life and Limb: Jamie Andrew Jamie Andrew's survival and rescue after five nights trapped by a ferocious storm in 1999 has passed into Alpine legend. It was a miracle that he survived; but Jamie had to come to terms not only with the death of his close friend, Jamie Fisher, who died beside him - but also with the loss of all his limbs to frostbite. Since the accident, Jamie has struggled painfully and successfully to overcome his disabilities; not only has he learnt to walk (and run) on his prosthetic legs, but also to ski, snowboard, paraglide - and even take up his beloved mountaineering again. Champions League or Winning a Trophy
wykikitoon replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
One thing I want this season is a decent run in the FA. I dont want to get a fucking Burton Albion (no offence guys) and see Pardew play a bunch of kids and us get beat 1-0 by a shit goal from them. -
Your shout for the Electric toothbrish is a good one too.

I love how CT calls people lazy bastards for parking close to the Supermarket enterance, then his fave device is a fucking can opener. Now that is LAZY! Mine, has to be my Tacx Flow Turbo Trainer, I would be lost without it when its weather like this. Also, my Garmin Edge 500 GPS computer for my bikes.

Is this MrFish and his new alter Ego? Or CT in disguise? Anyways, 1- What was your reaction to the Europa League draw? I was happy, We avoided dodgy countries like Israel which have been banana skins for English clubs in the passed and there isnt much travelling for the fans and players. It was a group that if we played tight away and got 3 points at home we could win. 2- What do you know about the Bordeaux team? And the club? Nothing, I do remember, like Tooj when they played AC though. 3- Are you interested in the French League 1 in England? What is your opinion about our league? I wouldnt mind seeing more, but I am not going to go out of my way to watch it. When Marsaille (Well, Drogba) knocked us out of the UEFA a few years back it seemed a decent league. From what I know now its not that great, albeit on the rise. 4- Is this competition important to you as supporters? And for the club leads? For me I'd say it's very important. However, we havent got a strong enough squad for it so we will play the fringe players. We needed at least 3 more players before the window shut to have a realistic chance of batteling on all fronts, but that never happend. Its a shame. .5- What are the strengths of your team? How is your start to the season? Strength of the team, thats a difficult question. We have a great team spirit and we have a few great players and the rest are decent players. We have had an indifferent start to the season. Injuries, internationals, EL Qualis have meant we havnt had a run of a team where we havent had to chop and change and this is a little worrying for me. 6- What is your opinion on Gabriel Obertan, who has played in Bordeaux? Since his arrival from Man Utd he has been very frsutrating. He is fast and strong, but cannot seem to finish off a cross or a pass or a shot. 7- And finally: a small prognosis for the game? I think we will play a cautious game. Although we have seemed to play more fringe players for the other ganes I think we will have more first teamers in for you guys. I think we should try and hit you with pace, however I think we will sit back and try and hit you on the break.

This weekend is the traditional final race of the season, the Race of the falling leaves. Giro di Lombardia. Last Brit to win was the late great Tom Simpson. Oliver Zaugg took the impressive win last season, but this could be the fist win for new World Champion Philippe Gilbert. He should win it, he took an impressive win in 2010 in the pissing rain. Its on Eurosport, but only for an hour 15:00 onwards.

At work we wanted a new recpetionist. So, we interviewed and offered it to a lass. She worked her 3 weeks notice and she was due to start last Monday. Anyways, last Monday lass emails, not phones, saying her Gran has just died and she is off to where she lived with her mother to sort stuff out. Fair enough. We then didnt hear from her until Thursday where she emailed late on saying she was helping her disabled mother sort stuff out. Again, nothing at all from Thursday. Anyways, yesterday our HR Dept tried calling her and she didnt answer so emailed her and said they were retracting the offer of employment. She emailed today saying sorry for the mess around, however due to having a disabled mother she felt she needed to take up the reighns of the family as her brother did night shifts and has a 2 year old. What a fucking weirdo. Why didnt she just phone up? Anyways, one of the lads has a mutial friend on FB. Apparently her mother is fine, her gran hasnt passed away at all and her brother lives in Oz. What a freak! If she didnt want the job, why not just call and say?
