Rumour is that Damien Lewis has signed on for 5 years of Homeland :/ A third series has been commissioned. Really hope they change the characters and tie up the whole brody story in this season. Could work if it had a Spooks-esque change of story each series, but they surely can't drag out the Brody/Nasir one any longer can they?

So, after recently buying a 32" Toshiba TV that really wasn't up to standard, what is the best TV to get for playing XBOX in full HD? For some reason the Toshiba gave everything a really jagged edge and it looked worse playing FIFA on that than it ever did on my HD Ready 26" TV. At home we have a 26" Ferguson full HD that made everything look great - a really sharp and crisp image. What would be a decent TV to get around the £200-£300 mark?

Just seen that I would need an extra router (can't do it on the Virgin Superhub). Hm. I am guessing there is no point upgrading the speed? House mates want to spend extra ££ thinking it will improve their speeds (when in reality, I imagine, it will just mean I get an even better speed!)

How do I go about doing that?

Messing about with the channels...in the same room, on my MacBook, I get 25MB, but other windows laptops only get 1.28MB...?

So, there are four of us in our student house with a Virgin 30MB connection. When it is just me on the broadband I can get close to the 30MB speed, but with four of us using the internet at the same time the connection drops to around 15MB when stood by the wireless router and as low as 1/2MB up in the top bedroom. I get that multiple users is always going to be a problem, but will increasing our broadband speed actually help anything with regards to this? And how about moving the router?

Still unbeaten on seasons. Was just 0-3 down at half time but brought it back to 3-3 and was SO close to grabbing a winner at the end! EDIT: Just been beaten twice in 3 games. Suppose it had to end sometime :'(

Tiote is literally centimeters away from hitting the ball but Fletcher gets there a millisecond earlier and then goes down like a sack of shite. Tiote's eyes never leave the ball. Maybe a yellow card, but definitely not a red. If Tiote had actually wanted to cause Fletcher some damage then he would have ploughed on right through him and left his foot in.

It is as if Larsson never kicked Shola straight in the chest....Watching the Tiote challenge again and again, you can see his eyes always on the ball. Fletcher comes in to challenge (after the whistle has gone) and that is why there is contact. Fletcher got the ball which is why Tiote didn't and why the contact was made - but they are the sort of challenges you will get time and time again.

Had his eyes on the ball all the way there? Larsson just kicked Shola in the fucking chest and didn't even get a yellow!

Decided not to watch it after experiencing the audition process first hand when I went along to support an ex. Absolute con of a show (as if people didn't know already!). So many people at the auditions (which were the second round of them - pre TV) were obviously mentally handicapped in some way or other and had blatantly been put through to make 'good' television...and then the shit singers get told they are good by both producers and people from SyCo only to get laughed at when they get onto the live auditions and say they are the best singer ever (mainly because they have been told so by TV producers beforehand). But whatever, at least I got to go and experience the Emirates stadium and see how much of the X Factor stuff is scripted! My ex didn't make it through, but I ain't exactly complaining!

Anyone else getting terrible lagg playing online? It has been really awful tonight. On a huge winning streak with Bayern on H2H. Overall record is 15 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss (the 1 loss was me being lagged out )

Stop Ben Arfa playing and you're pretty much onto a win. Don't think we've played too badly (only caught the second half in full), just not had much go our way. If we had been given that goal then it could have been a totally different story. But hey, are we really surprised that the decision didn't go our way when it is Howard Webb in control?

Tried a few settings but not getting much luck. Downloaded a bluray version of The Avengers last night which looked amazing when plugged in via my Macbook...can't quite understand why FIFA13 looks so much like FIFA98 on it....lots of jagged edges and not at all sharp. Considering sending the TV back. Any other ideas for a decent TV around the £200 mark?

Playing FIFA 13 on it so should be alright shouldn't it?

Aye, changed them to 1080p. After playing around with the settings on the TV I have got it a bit crisper but certainly not the HD quality I would expect.
