I dont think theres too much wrong in the other areas of his game either to be honest... I've never seen him spill the ball in the box, his kicking is on par, if not better than Givens, his reflexes are nowhere near Givens like but who's are? If i had to pick out anything imparticular its that he doesnt seem to command the box as well. I think we've been used to having someone like Given for so long that its easy to pick out the differences for a lot of people, therefore Harper being unfairly judged.

Out of the current starting line-up we need to find replacements for the following: Harper - just not good enough. Might be a local lad who's stuck with us through thick and thin but he hasn't really got a clue. Good (not brilliant) shot-stopper but won't come out of his 6 yard box for anything and all he ever does with crosses is punch. Coloccini - I've said all I need to say about him. Gash! Duff (as a LB) - I'd rather have him having a go on the wing instead of Jonas. Butt / Barton / Nolan / R Taylor - the lot of you just fuck off please..... Guttierez - Someone suggested he should have been drug tested after the opening game at Old Trafford. I quite agree - he's been a different player ever since. Garbage There are others who are not showing their potential but I reckon swapping these lot for someone half decent would have a knock-on effect on their performances. Martins ain't fit - doesn't take a miracle to see that. As an aside, does anyone agree the transfer window has to be abolished? Fucking hell a season can be ruined by players getting injured in early September or early February. Should go back to the old system where you could buy a player up until late March Harper hasnt done much wrong since taking over from Given, i think hes put in some pretty good performances and pulled off some terrific saves, people are far too harsh on him if you ask me. Duff has been fantastic since being played at left back defensive and offensive, but i agree that Jonas is fucking shite and should be not be starting. Couldnt agree more about Coloccini, Butt... etc. It'll be funny to see if Martins sticks with us if we get relegated, i remember hearing an interview a few months ago saying how much he loves the fans and club etc... we'll see just how much he loves the fans and clubs in the summer wont we

We need to be looking forward not backwards IMO. If this was true disastrous season no2 would definitely be on the cards.

That's how they spent their £4.5m in January. We got Nolan. Nice one (I realise I'm sounding like a stuck record with this point). Thing is though i reckon if those two were floated around at the time none of us would have been too happy, I think the majority would have preferred Nolan. We also got Ryan Taylor for the crosses.... or so we thought... point is at the time most of us were excited with the little players we did manage to get in.

I agree that in the long run keeping Milner would have been the best option. Its almost a given that he would have had more goals and assists than Jonas, it wouldnt be hard would it. I really wish we had kept hold of Faye, him and Bassong together would have been awesome IMO. Charles N'Zogbia and James Milner.. would have brought us at least 4points iyam So true - the delivery is none existent from wide areas - charlies quality was up and down and milner was only occasionally decent but the likes of guthrie, guttierez and r.taylor should hand there heads in fuckin shame I think Guthrie has done well delivery wise, especially since hes primarily a Central midfielder. I wish we had him fit for longer this season.

I cant see anything else than a comfortable win for Villa if I'm honest. I reckon a 3-1 could be on the cards, Agbonlahor will run riot around Coloccini if he manages to start and Villa will be giving a massive last gasp push for 5th.

Doesnt help when they flail their arms in the air for offside rather than getting their heads down and defending aswell.
