I think its important that we keep hold of him tbh, Barton and Guthrie are fairly injury prone which leaves us with Butt, Smith & Geremi, who are all defensive minded players, Nolan rarely gets injured and is more attacking than defensive. I can imagine a central pairing of Butt & Smith catastrophic no matter what league we're in. I have to see Nolan has impressed me so far this season, he was shite in the prem last season though, I agree.

Megson has just been on SSN saying that he wants to bring him back on loan.
-
Did you notice the caption underneath the photo of him? Twats.

Erm two goals in two games? MOM performance against Reading? He was shite for us in the prem last season though I suppose, but the fact that Bolton have had a shaky start might have caused him to think he needs someone with a bit of passion in the team...enter Nolan. I agree to an extent though, most likely tosh.

If it made its ways to pens we wouldnt have stood a chance, we never win at pens

http://www.nufcblog.com/2009/08/26/hughton...-be-on-his-way/ But if somehow its true, its very worrying as he has been a key man. It says: "And some good news and bad news after the game on potential loans to and from the Newcastle club. According to this evening’s BBC Sport Commentary, they are reporting Newcastle are close to a loan deal for Spurs’ Gareth Bale. But also news that Gary Megson wants Kevin Nolan back at Bolton Wanderers, for a season long loan deal, and Ashley is said favor the deal, to reduce the wage bill. Nolan is just coming into his own at the Tyneside club, and is the epitome of fight and spirit in the Newcastle side this season. Kevin got his second goal in as many games tonight, and it would be a very bad move for Newcastle. But hey, Mike Ashley has made enough of those kinds of decisions in the last 12 months, and unfortunately, it seems he is not yet finished. Newcastle fans are praying Ashley will leave Tyneside soon – to end his horrendous and failed stewardship of the now Championship club."

Highlights are on at 11.15 on BBC1

Bale is also a left winger, replacement for Jonas maybe?

They said they thought the ball was already over the line when nolan touched it?

I was obviously taking the piss about bringing Harper on, all I meant by stopping the wankfest is for people to stop giving so much praise to Krul before hes even had 3 full games under his belt. Like the people calling for him to be the no1 ahead of an experienced premier league goalkeeper (Steve Harper) Its ridiculous.
-
Bring back Harper for the 2nd half i say! Maybe this will stop the wankfest over Krul?
-
Link isn't working lads sorry for getting your hopes up.

Maybe that is the reason why Tozer is there, I think he is giving the young boys a chance. I would have prefered to see Vuckic (sp?) to Butt, simply because he is a youngster. Ah, didnt notice Tozer on the bench, was thinking it was all midfielders and strikers. Hopefully Vuckic would come on at half time, been looking forward to seeing what he can do.
-
Anyone a bit worried that Colo & S.Taylor are not on the bench, you would think at least one of the two would be on the bench in case of an injury in defence? P.S waiting for the stream to go live, hoping it will work, will PM if it does

I might have a video stream. Will confirm this later tonight
