I heard that the iTrip was poor for Car stereos as the iPod had to be kept pretty much on top of the stereo. my problem is that I don't have a cassette deck in the car I'm using at the moment, so instead of buying the £10 cassette adaptor I'd have to fork out £30 for an iTrip (or equivalent) which has received poor reviews. 172671[/snapback] I don't think it's a question of it being on top of the stereo, it's more a question of how good your car aerial is really. On my last car, it just refused to pick up any signal at all from the iTrip, which is why I went down the cassette route. I'd always get cars with cassette players from now on because I have no need for a CD player (my entire collection is on my ipod). I'm not a fan of phone/mp3 player combos. My current phone has an mp3 function but it's a bit shit really. The W800i did catch my eye, but I can't imagine it's as good as a dedicated player.
