  1. nufc.co.uk are offering a pair of tickets for Monday night's Championship clash with Leicester City at St.James' Park (kick-off 7.45pm). All you have to do is use the club's official website to find the answers to the following set of black-and-white posers. Simply email your answers to website@nufc.co.uk with your name, address and contact number and the lucky winner will be notified by 5pm on Sunday. 1) Who did Joey Barton pick as goalkeeper on his Dream XI? 2) Who scored two goals for United's Reserves against Celtic on Thursday? 3) Newcastle United launched their new 3rd kit this week, what two colours make up the shirt?
  2. Nar pal that is standard. 28/1 is common for that bet. 25/1-33/1 is the range usually. Last time I got one up was Holland HT Czech Rep FT 28/1 at Euro 2004. Seems generous to me. especially as its so unknown compared to the prem. (probably never work again all season)
  3. Very true, never thought of that. Have to see what the same bet looks like at a league match.
  4. Is it normal or are the odds just very good in this league. I usually like a player and combined score bet, however on Wednesday it seemed to take forever for the team to come out so I started to look at other options. I came across.... Newcastle to be winning at half time, Huddersfield at full time 33-1 Huddersfield to be winning at half time, Newcastle at Full time 25-1 I had a quid on each and came away with £25 thank you very much. Bearing in mind this league is very open and unknown I thought these were very generous.

  9. Lee Clark will manage Newcastle United one day, claims Huddersefield chairman
  10. Jonas Gutierrez - 26.3% Kevin Nolan - 18.2% Alan Smith - 13.2% Ryan Taylor - 12.7% Steven Taylor - 7.3% Jose Enrique - 5.4% Steve Harper - 4.5% Fabricio Coloccini - 2.6% Shola Ameobi - 2.1% Nile Ranger - 1.9% Danny Simpson - 1.9%
  11. Louises latest Newcastle United will have to sell three more players before next weekend if Barry Moat's proposed takeover of the Championship club is to stand a chance of success. Despite speculation that Mike Ashley, the current owner, could be poised to take Newcastle off the market, Moat – a Tyneside property developer – remains involved in negotiations to buy the club. Newcastle currently have a £40m overdraft facility with Barclays and the bank have indicated they will lend Moat the funds necessary to purchase Newcastle providing the overdraft and player wage bill – understood to have already been slashed from more than £70m to around £48m after the departure of 10 players this summer – are reduced significantly. Although Newcastle today (FRI) said they would be making an announcement regarding the club's future ownership on Monday it is understood this may not be definitive and that Moat probably has until the end of next week to try to close a deal.Meanwhile, Ashley – whose asking price is £100m – has now accepted that an 11th-hour intervention is unlikely. "Moat is the only show in town," said a source. "If his bid collapses Mike Ashley will keep Newcastle on for another season." Derek Llambias, the club's managing director, today said: "We're in negotiations with Barry and I am hopeful. But like everything you have to get money in the bank and banks and money are very tight at the moment. It's all about getting money in the bank." In an effort to persuade Barclays to underwrite Moat, Newcastle are endeavouring to offload three of Steven Taylor, Fabricio Coloccini, Geremi, Joey Barton and Jonás Gutiérrez. Yet such efforts are being hampered by the high wages demanded by Coloccini, Barton and Geremi. Coloccini earns more than £70,000 a week while Geremi and Barton command in excess of £60,000 a week. Taylor, an England Under-21 international centre-half, is seen as the club's most saleable asset and seems the most capable of attracting a decent fee – Newcastle want £10m but would probably settle for £6m. St James' Park officials insist he is much coveted by Everton but, as ever on Tyneside, things are not clearcut and it is understood that, in reality, David Moyes is not overly keen on him. Espanyol are very interested in Coloccini but will not pay the £6m Newcastle want for the Argentine centre-half allied to his stratospheric salary. A trio of departures threatens to cut Newcastle's squad to the bone but Barclays would give Moat – who intends to appoint Alan Shearer as manager – scope to make selected loan and short term signings.
  12.  Gives in a realises that he has become todays fresh jail bait...... Closes computer and heads for the rabbit shop.
  13. Shut the fuck up, you talk more shit that DannyB and that's saying something. Too much coffee? Can hardly blame the lad. What sort of person raises false hopes amongst their fellow fans (whilst alluding to being ITK)? Theres banter and theres "In the know". I dont think I have ever claimed to be "in the know". You never suggested the stuff in this thread (and there's other threads) was a joke did you? Looks like you were stating this was what was going to happen. I don't think you can deny the raising false hopes bit tbh. You also claim you Barry Moat's mate here. Which is why, along with the tone of the stuff you said about stuff like Shearer and Rob Lee being unveiled before Wednesday's match etc., I said 'alluding to being ITK'. Slow day at the office Alex?
  14. nailed on to be announced today / tommorrow. ok Conference at 3pm A run of banter? or someone claiming to be ITK...........
