Hang on, the majority on here were saying we'd finish mid-table at best. Acca-spacca was derided for suggesting we'd win the league. So we can't be 'par for the course', we are vastly overachieving against most people's expectations. Having said that, I agree that the football is not good to watch and without serious strengthening will see us relegated from the PL before March. I think it's more a case that the league is a lot more shit than we anticipated rather than us over-performing. Which is exactly what AccaDacca was telling everyone from Day 1

The Internet has completely spoiled me for TV now. I can't bear any ad breaks. Even if I lived in the US I would probably still wait for the next day and download or Tivo shows. Anyway thought it was a little underwhelming. Felt more like an extension of season 5 which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Hopefully it will all tie up eventually but it's got a little too overly complicated just for the sake of it over the past couple of seasons I feel. agreed, i never watched it until 2008 and then i got sucked in by the box sets, you are going to be pleased with some of the revelations of the season premier. What revelations. Having just watched it I am just as confused as ever. (I am sure this is part of the producers game plan to confuse us totally so that we will just be glad when its all over) Bizarre, simply bizarre. The smoke monster and the temple are two massive reveals that have been a mystery for 4-5 seasons. What has been the mystery about the temple for 4 or 5 seasons and what has now been revealed??? Same with the smoke monster, what has been revealed???

Thanks I know you're a little bit younger than me Stevie and I would say it would probably be less likely in recent years. I think the rise of the "mackem" identity has intensified the rivalry to a certain extent - when I was a kid even though I didn't know anyone from Sunderland I just thought of them as supporting a different team, not as a politcally different species as is the view nowadays. For the record everyone I would call a mate up until I was about 16 were NUFC fans - I do have a couple of good mates who support Sunderland (and who incidently don't call themselves Mackems) but they came a bit later and anything you say isn't going to change that. As for being a different type of fan than "purebloods" perhaps you're right - I've always thought the fact that we mix with and know SAFC fans actually makes the rivalry more intense and to some degree enjoyable - whats the point of beating the twats if you can't brag to any of them? :lol:

I think promotion will see us change hands very quickly. All he appears to be doing is as little as possible to secure promotion. I do however think there are a lot worse potential owners out there.

I have the 8gb one and have about 20 odd albums, various audio books and the odd movie with no problems. The movies I just exchange when I want to watch something new and music I have is fine for me. Unless you want to keep lots of movies and complete record collections on your phone, I don't know why you would need the extra space. However 69 quids not a lot for a safety net. It is worth noting how much shit you put onto these phones that you'll never use. Ie you'll put a full album on even though you probably only really love 3 or 4 tracks from that album.

as i've said earlier, i dont think CH see's the 2 CM as anything other than destroyers. our play is gonna revert to a more elemental form of play whereby we get the ball out to the wing early for our quick wingers (which we do have now) and crossed into the box early for the 2 big lads up front to challenge for, with maybe someone from midfield getting forward. basic but sometimes effective. this is just my opinion. i would like to hear what anyone else thinks our tactics will be up to the end of the season. Hughton has decided to do without a midfield and instead play 6 strikers. Each attack will start with Harper who will Launch the ball forward for our strikers.

That's what you get for setting a film in South Africa. Should've based it in Gateshead.
