  1. By that you must mean that because we didnt sell him in January, we will definitely not sell him in the summer?
  2. I can't think of any actor better at portraying cold, calculated menace as De Niro. His German accent must be shit, as otherwise he couldve cleaned up all the meatiest Nazi roles in the last 30 odd years. Camper than Gay Weekend at Butlins. Fuck off  However my favourite three actors are De Niro, Pacino and Hopkins and the film Heat .....
  3. Im not that interested in American politics unless its on the West Wing, but isnt the bottom line here that Obama was just so overhyped during the elections as well as being black and the expectations were immense. Everyone surely knows that once you win, its pure trade off with whatever lobby comes knocking to get some legislation through.
  4. Here I go about to get slammed once again but seriously....... He appointed Hughton, let him get on with the job, silenced Llambias (for the most part), backed Hughton in January and most importantly didnt fire sale the likes of Colochini, Carrol, Enrique etc. And with regard to it feeling small time!!!!! Fucking hell man we could be like the smoggies, doomed to season after season out of the prem. Did it feel small time in 93????? It will of done to some, but to a lot of us it was some of the best times supporting this club. The same will be true for a lot of todays support. Lets not put ourselves down and make a damp squib of promotion. Lets heal the wounds and move onward and upward (fingers crossed)

  6. Has nobody got any pictures of excited Chris hopping on the touchline. Its a shame that most of his pics seem quite dour and it would be nice to see one or two of the emotional ones. I also watched him being interviewed on the TV local news tonight and he reminded me of someone, not sure who. My first thought were tones of Sir Bob but I could be wrong. Coming over very confident without the God complex of Roeder and the like.
  7. I believe MattM4 posted what you are after on page 7 of this thread Mucho Gracias
  8. Just read that quote in one of the NUST candidates statements. Safe to assume it isn't you CT? Guess we just skipped thru this thread without reading
  9. ......... and MY prediction to YOU, which I have said for YEARS, is that Mike Ashley will NEVER match the Champions League qualifications and european qualifications of his predecessors......... as you have been the most vigorous verbal critic of myself on here, thought you might have had the cojones to admit you were wrong and I was right ? too late, this is one of a few times. http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...mp;#entry724796 Make the most of it. I am not usually wrong, I am also right in my views on muslims and immigration too. In any case, I wonder if you are one of those yids that used to come on here. fucking hell
  10. I pinched it from one of the NUST candidates election manifesto. It sums me up really
  11. can't work out if you are taking the rise or not as I'm sure you once accused me of being DL !! All depends on MA's attitude to ''attacking'' the PL - if he fancies having a decent go, then anything between 12th and 16th. If it is correct that there will be a wage cap of £15k, only under 26's etc, then it will be a struggle as make no mistake, even the likes of Hull, West Ham, Wigan, Bolton etc will be tough to beat at home whilst away from home, it could be a very barren time UNLESS the squad is drastically improved. Anyway, thats for a bit later, the celebrations are to embraced over Easter and whilst the Villa game of last season will never ever be forgotten by any true fan, gaining promotion the very next season has gone some way to eradicating the pain. This is the best bit. Whilst relegation was devestating, we have every right to thoroughly enjoy the promotion party. 17 years since the last one and hopefully alot more before the next one. I hope the young'uns who have grown up on the last few years of shit performances really get a similar party feel to the Leicester 7-1's etc and really milk every last drop of fun. I know there may be some who feel this is the least we expect and we shouldnt get to carried away, but to that I say just look down the road at the smoggies. There may well be really tough times next season so lets milk it all the way home.
  12. I could really fancy watching the match again..... Does anyone know if there is an "overwhelming flow of water" anywhere
  13. It's a leazes mag'ism ??? which I always taken to mean when we signed an "already" good player. Leazes always talks about the old board making trophy signings which I've always took to mean they signed good players.
  14. +1 since i think he means it Are you two mackems in disguise? Ofcourse I meant it. There will have been loads watching that game and the reactions when Enrique scored, envious as fuck. I'm not talking Torres etc but I am talking the likes of players Chris willbe after this summer. The likes of the perch?? Kid who had Jonas in his pocket all night, the likes of other young good'uns here and abroad, the likes of prem players who can't hold down a regular slot. These are the players we will be after and they would love what they saw on the pitch aswell as being impressed by Hughton. Seriously, I can't see how you two can't see it.
  15. There will have been lots of young starlets, reserve players of prem teams etc watching that game, that atmosphere and more importantly that comaradery ? last night and being very envious. I bet a few agents have had their ear bent this morning.
  16. Can anyone say something about the atmosphere last night. It looked cracking on TV, particularly the last 30 minutes and Hughton looked like a kid with a new toy when they sang his name.
  17. I was thinking which players I would consider the best home grown player, the best non trophy player who went on to be a great player and the best trophy player. I thought it might make an interesting thread and then came up with Gazza, Beardsley and Shearer and thought thread over really? Any offers or other catergories?
  18. There was so much special aboutlast night it feels so damn good this morning
