Believe me, I truly want to be proved wrong. No offense, but I think you have to be a litte bit more sympathetic towards a total lack of trust towards the Tories up here after what went on the last time. Especially when our new PM let slip the North East's economy was 'unsustainable' and then didn't bother to come anywhere near here during the whole campaign. Hardly installs confidence does it? I'm not a stubborn twat though, I'm just a cynical bastard who would take a lot of convincing. A hell of a lot of convincing. how many on here actually know much about the decline of industry during the 80's ( not that I'm claiming too). But didn't they start with trying to modernise the coal mining industry but were fought tooth and nail by the unions? Was it just the nasty Tories or the fact that coal and shipbuilding was so much cheaper elsewhere. Maybe a good discussion which deserves it's own thread. Anyway off into the zoo so bye bye

I said earlier I wish them the best and i agree some of the bitterness towards the coalition is a bit strong. Not sure about your second sentence like. People expect it more than being happy about it. Poetic licence

Clegg knew about the comment, that bit of pantomime was rehersed as was nearly the whole Press Conferance with pre-identifyied journalist only allowed to ask questions. Suppose you've already told the bairn Santas not real

Thing I find funny is all the Tory haters hoping yes hoping the country goes to shit just because the Tories are in power. Happy to be made homeless and jobless to prove a point

It was funny during the press conference when a journo told clegg that during the build up to the election, cameron had being asked what his favourite joke was he replied "nick clegg". Clegg started to walk away from the podium saying "right, I'm off", to which Cameron shouted "come back".

Clegg has to cover PM questions for him when Cameron is absent. The whole affair is utterly preposterous and nauseating. but I thought you were in favour of pr

I see caring Cameron is restoring the retail pension link next year. Nice move that and will go down well with the grey vote.
-
I'm guessing someone in the Labour government did...
-
really hope he gets it. The man has the personality of a dead fish. Labour could be out for years if he gets in.

It's lovely this morning knowing Mandelson and Campbell are gone.

Saying on the news this morning that the defecit is going to continue to increase for at least the next 3 years. Anyone hoping for a swift solution seem misguided. Sounds like years and years of not just cuts but under investment.

As opposed to all the daft cunts who voted Tory Oh, and Alex of course. Most sensible people realised that the pain was coming whoever got in. The sooner the pain starts, the sooner it's over. You of all people getting a new business up and running should want this period over, sooner rather than later. I started my business just before the worst recession in decades kicked in. Business is booming, regardless. My personal circumstances, however, are irrelevant. I vote for an ideology, not a policy. I vote for what's best for everyone, not what's best for me. I was born in an NHS hospital, grew up in a council house, an was educated in a state school. None of these things would have existed without the idealogy I voted for. Incidentally, when the jobs start going, and the roads start falling to bits , the Taxi trade usually suffers. You reap what you sow. Aslong as I'm alright jack Should have just voted Tory. This is what happens when you preach the moral high ground. I have no wish to see any family suffer but I know it's inevitible and can't be avoided. I know that regardless who got in , massive cuts are needed, however I am sure you and your moral high ground companions will slag the Tories each step of the way, even though it's "for the greater good".

Nothing to do with "bad loser" mate. There are people on here who's jobs will go because of this. My mrs. is one of them. Nothing personal but so many of you have bleated on in this thread about voting for parties because of the greater good and what they do for others but as soon as you all actually have to make sacrifices ( for the greater good) you suddenly start going all Tory and thinking of yourselves????? Strange that! You really are a cunt of the highest order. I hope you crash. Dear me
-
What a load of sore losers. Your party lost more seats than anytime back to the 30's!!!! Get over it, you've being kicked out and it's time for the country to get behind the PM!

Is there a record for how many times a person can be wrong in one thread

by default do you just hope its going to be better with Cameron in no.10 or do you actually think he will do a better job than Broon? I have no doubt he will do a better job than Brown. Brown was a terrible choice as PM and has done nothing. It is however a poisoned challis but it needs a new government to dealwith it. Brown relied too much on the unelected thoughts of mandelson and Campbell. It's just the way it is in politics that 13 years uses up all the best people and governments become stale. Think, particularly with coalition and libs on board that we will have a very young fresh government that will get a lot done, if they can sort the defecit.

13 years of hurt...... Never stop believin.... It's coming home, it's coming home, it's coming......... Get the fuck in!
-
Quite pleased about that as we could get some of the good mps in like David Laws and Chris Hoon. (hopefully not mad cow hughes). Not sure about vince cable. Don't know if he's really a financial guru or just got lucky predicting the recession.

Stealing the silver or shredding the evidence.

Simon power crazed Hughes, jizzing all over every TV channel. Where were you pre-election you rat faced weasel. Give me a labour government anyday over these blackmailing whores. There'll be riots in Henley, mark my words.

And who's to say we won't with first past the post? The two main parties are unpopular as they've ever been in living memory, trust in mainstream politics is at an all-time low, and there's no sign of an all-conquering Blair or Thatcher figure on the horizon. If we're going to have a hung parliament every time anyway, we might as well do it properly. But then a Blair or Thatcher will never get the chance again. Party popularity changes all the time as shown in 1997. Why tie ourselves in to these 48 hour manifest horse traded in smokey rooms. Not for me like .

I wandered lonely as a cloud That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I felt the need, to download porn for thrills; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fapping and trembling on my knees. Got your number

I respect the various beliefs all of you have be it pto Tory or Labour etc....... But never forget that the majority of this bunch in Westminster are still self serving egotistical wankers. Cameron should have told Clegg to fuck off and the proper Labour MP's who concede they have being beaten are correct. Power corrupts, end of! P.s. I will vote for any party that can sort out 3g connectivity in the Lakes.

we will go through this crap all the time if pr comes in
