  1. No, not really. I believe that he's deserving of credit to have those players playing well and winning games, regardless of the circumstances. I'd be saying if the team in these games consisted of our more senior, or his 'favourite', players. To arrest the spiralling form that preceeded these wins, and in doing so instill visible fight into the team, for me, deserves a bit of credit. Also, in fairness, yesterday he had the opportunity to drop Ameobi (or not recall Cabella) and play Gouffran, drop Mehdi and play Anita, and opt for Williamson in place of Haidara.
  2. Fantastic result, in a game where I'd feared this run was coming to an end. I'm really enjoying seeing the grit, commitment and passion that has typified our recent displays. We look a solid, organised unit, with more than enough pace and threat on the break. That this mentality has emerged whilst he's forced to use some of our supposed lesser players, has to see Pardew given credit.
  3. Maybe not, although I'm not sure that it's ever been as clear cut as that. Outrageous spin all the same, mind.
  4. Genuinely fantastic news. So happy for him. Hopefully he'll make an appearance at St James soon, will get some reception.
  5. Unbelievable win, considering where we are, and the team we put out. Love winning against this lot as well. Chuffed to bits for Ayoze and Sammy. Love reading the disappointed reactions from our own fans on twitter, mind. Weird cunts.
  6. I honestly think it's just down to Haidara being the perceived as the flashier option, simply because he's not English (Welsh). But, aye, neither are a patch on Santon.
  7. They're just polar opposites, really. Haidara the decent attacker, but a defensive liability. Dummett the decent defender, with zero technique.
  8. I'm ready to be convinced that they pose a great danger to babies, like. That's mostly to do with the fact that it's a fucking awful experience for the parents though. Next batch due this afternoon for my little man. Can't wait.
  9. It's beyond ridiculous that it's being dragged out like this. It's clear to absolutely everyone that his time is up, and has been since January really. As others have said, I have no hate for the man. It's a complete waste of energy having such strong negative feelings for a man you don't know. I can only assume that this is a stand off between a man that wants a payoff, and a man who doesn't want to pay it. The article on the Sky Sports site also says that he will continue even if we lose to Swanseas. Class.

Hatem's a shout, actually. Play 4-3-3, so need wingers with a fair bit of pace and attacking threat. I'll have to shell out on an RM>RW card, but hopefully he won't be too expensive. Sissoko just seemed too cumbersome when I played a few Seasons games. Cabella is good fun, mind. This is my team as it is, anyway: http://www.futhead.com/15/squads/2200442/ Idea is to replace Sakho with Koscielny, and add Remy. Pogba is a loan, so he'll likely be silly money to replace.

Ah, no way? I was sure that I'd sold a ST>LF card. Must have been LW>LF then. Has that always been the case? I only played FUT seriously once, might have been when it first came out. Biabiany stays!

I know. In my defence, there aren't many other French right wingers in the game! My intention is to convert Lacazette to a right winger, and buy Remy. But that isn't happening any time soon, and I wanted 100 chemistry. That's how I justified it to myself, anyway.

I crumbled and bought an Xbox One with this on Friday. As I've got a three month old, I've only manged to get a couple of hours on it over the weekend. Probably not the wisest purchase I've ever made. Hadn't even considered getting one until a lad at work reminded me that FIFA had come out. Dipped back into FUT, and ended up sinking another tenner into it. Used to limit myself to a fiver a week a few years back, but I'm determined not to start that carry on again. In any case, as usual, best player I got was Cazorla, but I somehow managed to scrabble together enough to build a French team. Wanted Remy up top, but he's going for silly amounts, 30k+. Ended up with Lacazette instead, who has been absolutely brilliant. Griezmann was pretty cheap too, which was a shock. Sweaty old Biabiany in there as well, of course.
  14. They've put him on a fucking personal fitness plan, man. He also still looks overweight. Honestly, even ignoring the shite treatment, anyone with eyes can see that he's not been in the best shape for a while now.
  15. Mixed feeling after that, I guess. Happy for Papiss, and for the fact we showed a bit of backbone. Disappointed that we've missed what could have been the end of Pardew. Cisse looked very sharp, we really need him to keep that up. We were obviously chasing the game by that point, but we looked a much more threatening proposition with him in there. The much publicised protests ended up being a compete anticlimax, which was a surprise. The posters and banners (that got in) were too small to make much of a visual impact, and, considering the numbers involved in organising it, not many of them were making much noise. Hard to say where we go from here. I think if results continue to be poor, he'll be on his way - regardless of any protests. Hopefully that'll happen with another time left for us to turn it around.
  16. Fuck that. I'll end up on the receiving end of some kind of web based atrocity.
  17. It is some effort, like. Very well organised. My worry, though, is that this protest in particular might end up being counterproductive. I think that printing banners in the Sports Direct colours is only going to piss Ashley off, and make him even less likely to bow to supporter pressure. Isn't it obvious who is behind it, by the way? Are we not allowed to say?
  18. Awful news, but I'm sure he'll beat it. Got a huge amount of love for Jonas.
  19. Genuinely cannot believe that we've let him go. In the chances he's had, of which there were too few, he hasn't overly impressed. However, what he offers in potential, in comparison with Willo and Taylor, should have been given time. I'll regret saying this, but we simply must have a replacement lined up, or at least close to that. I don't think we rate Taylor at all, so surely we wouldn't willingly go through the next few months with him as our only backup?!
  20. Yeah, it seems that way. I can't even remember the last time he played at centre half. We'll be signing him on the basis that he's strong. That's it. We're completely ignoring the fact that Colo is on the decline, and we'd then have no long term replacement or backup. If anyone was to leave, it had to be Taylor.
  21. Madness, this. I can't see how Richards is any more suited to the role that Mapou will be vacating.
