Same for me yesterday from my pc at home but it was working fine with the laptop in work.

They're gabbing on about it on SSN at the moment too, brave move if true, hope it pays off somehow.

Fergie would have had more chance than most and has a good track record with former nutters and drinkers. Paul McGrath was sold by Ferguson a year after Gazza went to Spurs iirc. Admittedly McGrath wasn't Fergie's signing. But I think you're right in that Gazza needed a strong disciplinarian to manage him (I'm just not sure even that would have worked). I was trying to think of the name. Rarely trained according to myth. He didn't have a good track record with Paul McGrath though Same happened with Norman Whiteside too, Fergie didn't tolerate anything back then so I can't see how it would have worked with Gazza.

4 for Arshavin!!!!

3-2 to Arsenal Arshavin hat-trick

Doesn't really matter, though, as Kadar is just an untried kid really who was never in the frame as a standby replacement for Enrique. Not true really, he was in the squad on several occasions and if I remember correctly whoever was managing us at some point said he was ready for first team football, wanted to give him a chance in a match around january I think.

bad miss from Martins but he's probably the only one that could have controlled the ball that well in the first place....pretty bleak -
Although he did pretty woeful in his time as manager here he did sign some fantastic players (Solano, Speed, Given, Hamman etc), without which we probably would have already been relegated at some point in the last decade. and also Georgiadis, Garry Brady, Andersson and Ian Rush, not to mention Des Hamilton. Kev and Bobby made bad signings too, all managers do, all I was saying was that some people act as if everything Dalglish did here was terrible when in fact he signed several players that made up the spine of the team for the next 5-10 years. In any case all of the players you mentioned apart from Andersson were signed as inexpensive suqad players/backup. His biggest flop was probably Guivarch but he came with a very good record and following on from winning the world cup with France.

agreed, devalues the whole thing

probably, but I'd be pretty surprised if we won all of them. -
McCarthy was apparently barely fit enough to make the bench, they're screwed with injuries but their remaining fixtures arn't too bad and their last game is west brom if it comes down to the last day of the season. Can't see Blackburn going down.

I'm convinced there's some sort of mind bending invisible gas in the air at St James that makes anyone employed as manager see Shola Ameobi as some sort of footballing god. -

There's enough actual fans discussing the obvious troubles at the club on the forum as it is without you chipping in with your words of 'wisdom'. -

The biggest problem today imo was our invisible trio of central midfielders Butt, Nolan and Guthrie, between them they contributed less than Jonas did in his time on as a sub (and I'm by no means a big Jonas fan). That said, I still think Guthrie of the three was the most unlucky to be subbed as Butt and Nolan are as as slow as fuck and show no creativity these days whatsoever. Butt has been passed it for years and Nolan has lost most of the ability and promise he once had. -

Played as bad as usual until we scored. Carroll looked a million times better than Ameobi in every way, did much better defensively and was obviously more of a threat up front. He's no world beater but christ he has to start ahead of Shola. -

At first I read that as Craig Bellemy , now that would truly be some sort of torture, Burley is insufferable all the same. -

I'm glad he had the guts to drop Collocini but otherwise it's the usual consevative crap in terms of team selections we've put up with for years now. Managers too afraid to drop the likes of Duff or Ameobi in favour of trying younger players. At least Ranger is one the bench but I think we'd all prefer Carroll up front in favor of Shola, in fact I'd prefer Shearer as he is now instead of Shola. -
yup, if we lose today everyones confidence will be at an all time low, it would be hard to see us getting out of it after that

Macheda is on now as well and hes just scored !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
