  1. Any chance we could all just put him on "ignore" and leave him babbling away to himself
  2. And has amassed as many posts (all pure drivel) in the space of time most take to introduce themselves
  3. There's been a bit of a wankfest over Adam Johnson lately, not so long ago he wasn't exactly pulling up trees for Boro (poor side/management I know) in the championship whilst a tub of lard like Kevin Nolan was banging them in. Don't get me wrong he has looked very good recently and offers something a bit different but if fit I still reckon Joe Cole's a much better option at the moment with Johnson on the bench.
  4. four keepers ffs Denmark (possibly Serbia too) are bringing four as well but that's probably to do with the fact Sorensen is touch ad go, still seems a bit mad to take that many.
  5. I think he's being brought more as cover for right back tbh with Johnson the only out and out in the squad.
  6. think he's off to west ham though
  7. I thought Kewell was injured yet again? Craig Moore (unattached) Was half expecting to see Viduka in there, has he retired or what?
  8. I think he's unlucky not to have gotten more of a look in in general, suffers from being another lightning paced guy with dubious end product (at times) so I don't think he was ever going to get ahead of Walcott and Lennon even thought he's more of an out and out striker than those two.
  9. To be fair I think most of the bullshit comes from Sullivan, can't remember much of David Gold's statements being particularly undermining/inflammatory etc
  10. Criminal if he is dropped. Heskey has to be before him. Heskey's been useless this season, shouldn't be anywhere near the squad, Bent has to be ahead of him, Zamora should be in their on form rather than history. Surprised to see no Ashley Young but he himself hasn't been as good this year I suppose.
  11. Grant seems the most likely as he wont stay at Portsmouth and seems to not mind working under difficult/idiot owners.
  12. Have a feeling Hughes would refuse the job, more likely Avram Grant or maybe Bilic imo
  13. cole looked fine against wigan yesterday, so did terry rooney should be fit, hes got some time now, ferdinand too gerrards still gerrard and can still do the business, he'll not be playing in a team where he knows without torres hes the only good player capable of getting them up there, its weighed on him heavily this season imo And also, like I said before every team has injury worries, Spain are struggling to get Xavi, Fabregas and Torres fit in time and Brazil have had the likes of Kaka and Luis Fabiano in and out of injury all season. Germany had their first choice keeper commit suicide and their second choice ruled out with injury, France have doubts for Gallas/Abidal while the likes of Ribery and Henry have had injury plagued seasons and poor form etc etc
  14. the thing that's struck me about the recent world cups is that luck seems to play a gigantic role, there's no way France and Italy were the best two teams in the last tournament, nor were Germany and arguably the Brazil side from the one before. So much depends on refereeing decisions and which team you happen to draw in each round rather than who plays the best.
  15. Exactly, apart from the goalkeeper situation (which isn't that bad anyway) you've got a strong team in all departments providing there arnt any major injury blows. Being third favorites is about right imo and if you don't make the semis I'd rate the tournament as a dissapointment. I was quietly confident around the time of qualifying, with things looking good and a class manager in charge, but since then alot has declined. Keeper is nowhere near sorted Terry is far from at his best, Ferdinand is a crock and Ashley Cole is coming back from a big injury and RB was never completely sorted Gerrard is miles off (possibly for yet to be revealled reasons!), Beckham is out (who i thought would be a very useful sub against tiring defences) and Lennon is coming back from injury as well, as is Joe Cole and Barry is out completely Rooney may not be back to the electric form he was in before the injuries and Defoe is out of form But that's typical England to be fair! True, but Spain are having their share of problems too with Xavi, Torres and Fabregas all struggling to be fit for the start. Obviously, keeping Rooney fit is vital.

  17. Absolutely shocking statement for all sorts of reasons, just when you think they've started to see a small ounce of sense they go and make another absolute balls of everything. The only thing that's being said that I disagree with is that we're now a certainly for relegation, I think even with the current squad we're as good as or better than Wolves, Bolton, Wigan, West Brom, and the playoff winners. Nonetheless that statement totally deflates any sort of enthusiasm or optimism I had for next season which was probably their intention tbh
  18. regardless of the dull football they play Blackburn have done very well to finish top ten in four out of the last 5 seasons while spending close to nothing with a small fanbase etc.
  19. bland forgettable hackneyed rubbish
  20. Any idea who the other four were out of interest?
  21. Cameron is a truly wretched character, up there with Llambias imo, that is all.

    Hartlepool

Whoever is responsible for this at the administrative level should be strung up. They were safe now, they're anything but with one game to go, away to Brentford who are unbeaten in ages iirc. The odds are probably against them staying up, it's unbelievably cruel on the supporters, would this punishment have been 3 points if it was Leeds? I think not. The word is that Liddel himself said to the caretaker manager that he was on ten yellows but the caretaker said he had no notification about it so played him regardless. Extremely foolish and harsh on their fans, one of which is Jeff Stelling if I'm not mistaken.
