Funnily enough I just watched this clip the other day (probably been seen by most already):

Before the last transfer window they literally went over 2 years without spending a fee over half a million on a player or something mental like that. They do pay decent fees occasionally (Fellaini was fairly pricey and that Russian guy who didn't work out too well) but in general they do a fantastic job in terms of signings and performances.

I suggest that you let the members of this forum decide what your new sig should be in the same manner that your current username was chosen.

I know they're inconsistent but I really think England need to make use of their pacy players like Walcott and Young and at least one fast full back like Walker or Richards. The last world cup performance was like watching 11 aged snails at times.

But do England have mostly average players? They could field a team entirely of Man U, Man City and Chelsea first teamers so as far as I can see you have the quality on paper but for whatever reason nobody seems capable of getting them to play as a team.

Took Enrique a while to get into his stride too but now Santon looks like he can be every bit as good (or potentially better) than him. As long as he stays fit I think he will continue to do very well for us. Another great signing it would seem.

Well to be fair they've finished quite high in the pre Venky's seasons. Top ten more often than not in recent times (including finishing 7th or higher 3 times in the last decade and 10th the seaosn before Venkys took over). They also won the league cup under Souness. That was all post Jack Walker and they spent less than virtually everyone else.
