I like Carver but hasn't he regularly slated the current owner/regime when speaking on the subject? That would rule him out if so.

Shane Ferguson tearing apart international opposition
TicTacWoe replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
I think CT has a point to some extent, of course no-one knows for sure how good someone like Ferguson (or more importantly Kadar who should have played ahead of Perch) is until they get a proper chance to prove themselves. Perch has had a few chances now and failed spectacularly so next time we need someone to fill in at LB it should be Kadar or Ferguson. As for Jonas, he could definitely do with dropping even if it does just end up confirming that Ferguson or whoever replaces him isn't good enough either, his place in the starting 11 is far too assured for my liking. -
Ryan Taylor is crocked isnt he?
-
Keane isn't much use anymore, his pace is going and his attitude is questionable, would end up as Nolans drinking buddy. He might still bag a few goals for someone this season but I hope it's not for us as he's got very little left to offer long term.

from the little I've seen of Ferguson he looks good but that's very little to go on. Jonas probably could do with being dropped if only to give someone else a chance and give Jonas a reminder he needs to contribute more if he wants to keep his place. -

Who is your favourite non-newcastle player
TicTacWoe replied to Holden McGroin's topic in Newcastle Forum
current - Would like to be original but it has to be Messi for sheer entertainment value retired - Bergkamp, Zidane, Le Tissier -
Tinofbeans sounds more Geordie, that might help. or even

seems like a daft move altogether, whatever people say about Sam he would have at least kept Blackburn up. They've already racked up 22 points with less than half the season gone so they'd have to play pretty shit to go down though. Apparently Samba wants out as well which won't help (lyon are after him I believe).

*cough* Shay Given *cough* Did we get 8m? Not bad for a keeper that doesn't come out for crosses, can't kick or throw the ball well... Closer to 6 million in actuality from the most filthy rich club in history for what would then have been their no.1 keeper in his prime, who by most peoples standards was one of the best shot stoppers in the world. Aye, good deal that.

We really need him at least for the rest of this season, it's all about the wages though if this is true and he should never have been given such a ludicrous contract in the first place.

Bury? Apart from Bury, obviously. well bury begins with B! Yep it's Dundee manc mag!

Most pointless piece of trivia I've ever heard... Name the only professional football club in Britain whose name (not counting the F.C bit) does not include any letters from the word "FOOTBALL"??

A few months ago I'm sure I read in 442 that they had some sort of savant predict the last two fa cup final winners and losers correctly, anyway, according to this quack this year the final will be between ourselves and Spurs, with us losing....I'd rather go out to Stevenage tbh.

forgot about Bale, he could well win it actually

There are very few lower league players who are capable of making the step up and those that are tend to be defensive minded, ie Jagielka, Lescott, Roger Johnson, Scott Dann etc. Just because Pardew managed in the lower leagues doesn't mean he'll be any good at finding this quality of player as they're rare. Pardew is not renowned for his signings in the lower leagues nor is he even particularly well regarded by any of his former clubs or their fans so I wouldn't hold my breath there.

No hope tbh Barton won't get near that list. Caroll though yeah, I'd say as it stands only Wilshire could beat him to it and that would be harsh on Andy imo.

I'm a few days late but happy birthday!!

Has died at the age of 69 after a long battle with MS Quite liked a bit of Beefheart myself although I can understand him not being everyone's cup of tea. Any other fans on here?
-
he's homesick apparently
-
As close to saying "Pardew had sweet fuck all to do with the result" as possible Very hard not to like Joey these days (touch wood he doesnt murder someone next week).

90% of the one's I've met have been cunts sadly, these days I just hope I get one of the silent foreign drivers.

aye, though I don't see much sense in him going there as he's on more money here than he'd ever get at West Ham, and they're probably even more likely than us to be relegated.
