No place for Barton if he stays? Assuming he reckons he's off. That team would look a lot better with Barton in it. Seems to be a fair bit of Jonas love going around lately but I'm not a big fan of his.

Been happening for years here in Dublin. It completely puts me off certain venues, its just such an annoyance.

Nicks just a WUM, don't pay any attention to him.
-
Switzerland brought on a guy called Innocent for Tranquillo against England, we should get him and any other comically named players as well.
-
Not by any means the end of the world if Nolan is adequately replaced but fuck knows if that will happen.

I have never met anyone who is against choice, and most people I hear speak about the issue on forums/radio etc seem to be for it yet it seems like a distant possibility in terms of ever being a reality in the UK or Ireland.

Batty was class, one of the most reliable players we ever had. Wasn't so much a sideways passer as just extremely disciplined. Did really well for Blackburn and his two spells at Leeds as well. Batty didn't score often and neither does Tiote. So far Batty edges it, but Tiote is great as well and in another season or two might have overtaken him in quality/contribution. Why so many have voted for Tiote after just one season is beyond me.

Billy Davies leaves Forest & McLeish leaves Birmingham

Well he won the league cup, but they've also been relegated twice under his management. -
I think Heskey at his peak was decent at club level but I could never understand why England managers kept picking him. No better than Shola.
-
Don't see any problem with this at all.
-
He played regularly last season. Would be happy enough with him as backup but he usually moans when he isn't playing.
-
I say we start with Krul, he's an international, promising young keeper now. If we give him 7 or 8 games and he turns out to be total shit than forget it, but otherwise, it makes no sense to keep on playing Harper at his age.

Worse than Hitler tbh

Don't know about Martinez, had very little to spend in general and has kept them up just about. Wouldn't be thrilled if I was a Villa fan mind you.
-
Crazy deal for all concerned if N'Gog is part of it.
-
I think a lot of the time people think other teams keepers will be miles better when in truth we havnt over examined their every mistake like we do with Harper and Krul. I would agree Foster is better on paper but not by as great a margin as people reckon. I think both Harper and Krul are decent premier league keepers, both flawed. Krul being so young means he could step up to that next level over time and should be first choice now in case we end up losing him.

I personally don't think we'll be relegated again under Ashley but I doubt we'll get any higher than 9th or so.
-
Hull are in a similar situation with Bullard, they are basically begging anyone to take him for free just to get his massive wages off the books but considering his age and injuries there aren't too many takers.
-
It would have to be a deal that involves us paying a portion of his wages.

Apparently he played great for Holland in his debut. I know he's been shakey at times but for a 23 year old keeper he is doing well. People like Friedel and Van der Sar weren't at the top of their games until much later in their careers. I just think we could end up with serious egg on out faces if we give up on Krul.

There's always been the odd detested player. My mate almost goes purple faced when you mention a keeper called Steve Hardwick! (Just before my time). Mark 'Jason Donovan' Stimson was my first real loathed player that I remember off hand. Was Kevin Dillon for me, initially it was cos he a mackem captaining theb toon, but then I realised he was also the slowest shittest player I'd ever seen. There was a saying round Newcastle for a while "you're a right Dillon you" and am sure it was inspired by his shiteness. it could've been in reference to his specific form of rickets that would've rendered him useless at catching a chicken in a hallway , or their woeful finishing ability . My vote in the personally detested (Owen romps it so is excluded) goes t the bong-eyed greasy tragedy of a unit Marcelino , with a latter-day Babayaro pushing for pole . At least with losers like Marcelino, Luque etc we didn't have to see them actually play that often. Just seeing Smith and Butt's names in the starting line up time after time over those few seasons was soul destroying.

Yup, both clubs currently have puppet managers as far as I can tell. Rapey has done reasonably well at continuing Hughton's good work so far. Kean looks totally out of his depth, if Samba and/or Jones go I'd be very worried for Blakcburn who are a club I've always admired.
-
Hughes is a decent manager but I wouldn't put him up there with Moyes or even Martin O'Neill. I think a lot of people dont rate him at all because he was a prick as a player which is a tad unfair.
-
Smith must be the most unanimously loathed player we've ever had. Cant remember anyone sticking up for him at any point really. He was always overrated in his Leeds days IMO but once he had the injury at Man U he became utterly useless.

Wasn't mad about the film but will definitely check out the documentary afterwards.
