CRonaldo and Messi are both insanely good in different ways so it's hard to choose who is better. Messi gets most people's vote as he plays in a much more attacking team, didn't play for ManU, or generally act like a prick at times like Ronaldo. In reality I think there is very little to choose between the two.

the reason they haven't been sold yet is because there is no club on earth who would possibly want these players. What a strange comment. If he would take a paycut, Leeds (at the very least) would take Smith. Plenty of lower league clubs have been linked with Ranger. Lovenkrands wouldn't have much trouble finding a club elsewhere, possibly even in the Premier League. The reason they haven't been sold is because it's cheaper to hold on to them than it is to replace them with better players. Not really, Smith is earning over 60k a week and is costing a club a fortune. We could sell Ranger for 1 million or so and replace him with Sameobi (sort of already have). I think they genuinely can't sell these guys.

Some real OTT stuff going on here, we should have gotten a striker in but the squad really isn't bad at all. Good enough to finish between 8th and 12th in my opinion. I prefer this squad to the one that got relegated full of has-beens and players who couldnt give a fuck (having been largely gutted of the actual talent in Given, Milner and Nzog that season). We're one striker and a right back off having a really decent team. Look at the other squads outside of the top 6, they all have weaknesses in varying areas, many of which have much worse squad depth than us.

No way is that the worst strikeforce in the prem. Everton have an argentinian loanee and a rarely fit Saha as their only strikers with Beckford and Yakubu gone not to mention the likes of Norwich and Swansea. The strikeforce could be better certainly. I reckon we were in for a few strikers but were to stingy to pull any deal off, we'll probably try again in January. Not ideal but it's still a decent squad overall imo.

Attitude was the main problem with both Emre and Martins in my opinion. Pistone was just very ordinary though he was quite young when we signed him and joined when things were starting to fall apart. (improved a bit at Everton if I remember correctly).

I'd long since forgotton about Andy Sinton's existence until now.

Hasn't been the same since his he had a bad injury but was looking really promising beforehand. Then again, Inter were much better as a tea before he had the injury as well. Either way, easily better than what we have, so a good deal for 5 million if its happening. A few years ago Mourinho was praising him heavily, whilst Benitez didnt seem to rate him. I know which of those two I'd sooner trust.

Dzeko hat trick, a lot of people who wrote him off will be eating their words now. Looks class with a more balanced team around him. Wouldn't be surprised if he finished top scorer.

Anyone who thought Harper should be ahead of Krul must be changing their tune now. So glad we started with him this season.

Prefer cricket to golf. That's about all I can say for it.

If we managed to avoid Man U/City/Chelsea/Arsenal/Liverpool for a while we could go far. (not if we play like we did earlier mind you). Since the 2000s the likes of Middlesbrough, Blackburn, Leicester and Birmingham have won it so of course we can do it.

Depressing

Here, when Genk were being drawn they said they could only go into 2 of the remaining groups, (neither of which was group F, which at the time had Arsenal, Marseille and Olympiakos in it) why could they not be drawn in group F? No Belgian team in it. Confused.

No hope of signing Sturridge. Maybe a loan would be possible. I reckon he's still behind Torres/Anelka/Drogba and probably Lukaku now as well so considering they only play with one up front more often than not, how many games is he going to get?
