  1. Good job I'm a Pacifist really, cheeky twat.Where was the last pro kitchen you inspected then? Have you any idea what you're on about .I would rather eat my own shit than eat a kebab. Whilst the outer 2-3 cms of 'meat'on a kebab is cooked, the inner is raw, with the core often still frozen. As you are clearly the next Gordon Ramsay, I don't need to explain in how many ways the above is so wrong. Do I? Salad any day. btw fillet is overpriced and over-rated. Sirloin, or rump
  2. Here we go......... so long as the prepared salad is stored in a cool container, it's fine. Hot food must be stored above 64C for safety, served at 75C if reheated. the crucial factor in all is the length of time any foods are stored. Lettuce, washed and stored correctly, will usually keep for 2-3 days. and yes, most vans that bother with fresh salad, in my experience, can and do prepare it correctly. It ain't brain surgery ffs.
  3. Can't see there ever being the number of top fighters around at same time again. Ali, Foreman,Frazier,Norton, etc. AHH, nostalgia.
  4. He wasn't Ali's greatest fan mind, was he? Feckin Brute tho
  5. As a former chef, The risk of infection from correctly prepared salad is negligible. White bread per se is not unhealthy, it's usually what it's eaten with that bumps up the calories. To satisfy the stringent "experienced in subject" criteria demanded by certain fellows on this very thread, I can supply a full C.V. with references from my catering days. cue 4 day argument over merits of white bread.( is that racist btw, shouldn't it be "bleached flour bread") In the take away van they probably just use their hands to toss it. So Long as they've washed em', fine. Anyway, tossed salad in a takeaway van- you must live in Jesmond

  7. Seeing the state of his current circumstances, compared to Ali, you can sort of understand his grudge. I agree tho, he'd probably be a lot happier if he let it go. Tell you what tho- great to see some real boxing wasn't it?
  8. Shame Frazier can't let it go though. From his own point of view more than anything else. I think the bitterness he still has towards Ali is only harming himself. True. His (Frazier)brother said the same. tbf Ali never apologised to him in person. The things he said went beyond the reasonable bounds .
  9. Old Joe didn't do himself any favours either. Revelled in Ali's current state, claiming responsibilty for it early in the programme. And Paccheco,Ali's ring doc, was just a prick.
  10. Anyone see the documentary on More4 last night? Detailed the history of the bad blood between Ali & Frazier, unusually tho presented Ali as the bad guy. Really enjoyed it, tho was saddened to see how frazier has been basically left out in the cold.
  11. Didn't realise Tony was MD of Schweppes at the time he was PM.
  12. Spot on. It was deliberately left as an 'open letter', but you can add Fop to the list too. Hilarious how they profess some of the strongest opinions on here but time and again fold under cross examination from someone with any actual expertise in a subject. No coincidence either that these are all too scared to admit what they do in their professional life. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Student_Grant Remind you of anyone?
  13. Never had Subbuteo.Too Poor Me & my mates used to tie our feet to upside down bin lids then get passers by to hit us round the head.Hated playing in goal as you got a broomstick up the arse and had to stand with your arms up for ages.
  14. Tried to find the racism in this thread-Igive up. Only hint of it is from our 'friend' in the south.
  15. Maybe right, just what i'd heard( from the mate of a sister's partner's dad who knows a bloke......................) still, not nice.
  16. As I see it, there are two problems- the Northern Europe culture of getting blitzed, and the strength of the alcohol being sold. In France for example,it has had virtually 24 hr opening for years, yet it is a serious social faux-pas to get 'blitzed'. fine to drink steadily over the course of a day, but if you start to get wobbly, it's not seen as a point of weakness to stop drinking alcohol and hit the soft drinks. The general strength of beers seems to have gone up, 5% being the standard, whereas when I started going to boozers, 4-4.2% seemed the norm. I know firms are bringing out lower strength versions of popular lagers, but the fact that they're advertising them as such imo means the people who SHOULD be drinking them never will-" ownly for puffs that lite shite man" Banning supermarkets from selling beers as loss leaders will do nowt- just start up the Calais Run black market again.
  17. Pratchett recently revealed he has a form of Alzheimers, it is rapid-onset and he's been told he has a year or so at best of 'sanity'. So, he won't be knocking out too many more books. Like or loathe him , you've got to have some sympathy for the bloke, it's like a living death sentence.
  18. Cruel Madonna? shouldn't that be " Madder than a Bucket of Frogs Madonna"
  19. The Magus in there is a canny session ale.
  20. Microsoft/Biggins fella please. Don't fancy another neo-con ultra christian in the region. Reg Vardy is enough.
