  1. I quite like his craic about football though. And Brand's column in The Guardian is canny too.

Aye, he puts most "proper" journos to shame.

re. Gallagher, not heard his footy craic, though if it's as 'Creative' as his music, does he just re-hash Liverpool punditry from late 60s- early 70s.

  2. TalkSPORT said listeners could expect "a heavy dose of cutting-edge comedy, controversial commentary and the odd eye-opening anecdote" in the show, which will be broadcast at 9pm on Sunday.

The show has been billed as a one-off, but it's understood that it may become a regular feature if it is a success.

Moz Dee, talkSPORT programme director, said: "TalkSPORT welcomes Russell back to radio. He's a unique talent who understands the medium brilliantly, and together with Noel Gallagher, it'll be a must listen. "Both are proper football fans who just happen to be two of the most creative minds in popular culture."

Russell wrote on his Twitter webpage earlier this week: "Tomorrow Cardiff, Friday o2. Sunday talksport radio show with Noely Noely G – this shall be a week of gentle wonder and reckless kissing."

    :o

    Noel Gallagher-Creative Mind........ :o :o :o

    german terracing/seats.

looks easy enough to convert an area.

I'd suggest Level 7 and Gallowgate?

would involve big mikey boy splashing the cash though. can't see it, would be nice i reckon.

1 weeks wages from Owen would do an end, money should be there next season then. :o

  4. Saw him coming!

    Hard not too really :o

It's not necessarily the car, it's the way he makes himself look like a cock with the hoody and baseball cap.

    Baldies tend to over compensate.

It's the massive amount of testosterone we have flowing thru us :o

  5. If you think there is a better city in this country you need your head read.

    "Special" innit

FACT "innit". Just a better standard of....well everything.

There's no such thing as a fact in such subjective matters but Newcastle was ranked the best city in England to visit recently by Lonely Planet iirc.

Whilst I rate Newcastle for a night out, even a weekend, all it is just a provincial town rather than a real city (I mean that in the nicest possible sense)

    course you do petal.

  6. If football in this country was ran by people who were even vaguely sensible we'd have had a dialogue about safe standing at football matches a long time ago. Unfortunately it's not.

There's nothing incentivising clubs to push for it is there?

Show clubs how it would make them money and they might start lobbying, but the increased capacity would be negated by the reduced asking price on a ticket and the increased stewarding required. Not to mention the redevelopment work.

All those in a position of power prefer the sanitary version of support we have now.

    Nail on head :o

  7. I cant be arsed to get into the whole debate about any club being special or not. What I will add though is the vast difference being in a small one club city. NUFC is on the vast majority of peoples lips every day. I can walk into any shop, or when I get my hair cut or whatever and the conversation will always get onto NUFC. Its the whole focus of the city. If I go to other cities they may be more rugby lead or may have more than one club. When people think about Newcastle (the city) they think about 1. Geordies and 2. NUFC. Both go hand in hand and have a unique identity. This doesn't make us special or anything, but you have to live here to understand it.

But it does, that's what our cocknee sparra can't quite get :D

  8. You still don't get it do you? Every fan has a love for their club. Let me get back to Barnet, what have they won? Are their fans special? Would you consider their experiance magical?

    No but they would.

Are you starting get it yet?

    :D :D

  9. Bugger off!

Big thumbs, little iPhone with one eye on the test centre to see if the daughters passed her driving theory !

    :D

I'd probably nob my wife and cuddle my kids. If I was from smogland I'd probably do the opposite

If i could get to NZ in 8hrs, Iwould too :D
