After all the bollocks spouted about Keegan 'bottling it', crap from Kinnear that 'people will be surprised when things come out', the fact is Keegan WAS in an untenable position, and he WAS effectively stitched up. Brought in to sell 3 year season tickets. Shambolic treatment from Ashley & co - there's KK trying to get things going, trying to move the club in the right direction, re-ignite the club - and there's Dennis Wise: actually not willing to be DOF unless he had final say on all transfers, but stating in an interview 'Kevin has final say, I'm here to help him', while totally neglecting the team totally failing to strengthen it. Its people at totally different ends of the spectrum. Best of all by our former DOF & scout - bloody telling Keegan to look on Youtube at a player - two days before the window shuts! The squad was obviously too small going into the season and instead of strengthening it to move the club forward there's Wise more concentrated on 'doing a favour for some agents' instead. As for any "KK is only concerned with money! Hes greedy and clearly doesn't love to club!", the rubbish in the papers about him - Independent arbitration statement: "In our view as accepted on behalf of Mr Keegan that he was not entitled to any further damages. However, if we had to address this issue, we would have decided that the publication of a finding by us that Mr Keegan has resigned because he had been constructively dismissed by the club, and not because he decided to walk away, would restore his reputation and in evidence he agreed to that proposition." KK Statement: “I also want to confirm that a central purpose of my claim has always been to clear my name and restore my reputation. I consider it of vital importance that I was able to let people know about the full circumstances of my resignation and the way in which I had been treated by the club. I hope that this purpose has now been achieved." - Yes it has, unless you believe pathetic spin by the papers, the purpose of proving what an utter con Mike Ashley is has very much been achieved. If I was in Keegans shoes' I would have bloody wanted to clear my name and get things out in public so people know I was stitched up. If he had stayed, he was buggered. He HAD to leave then, because Llambias' letter 'trying' to get him to stay says that he wouldnt always have the final say - if he agreed to that then he's effectively a puppet for the rest of his contract. They used a legend for all the wrong reasons - not because he was capable of improving the team, capable of taking the club forward - because it would allow people to buy into a false dream that he was going to be allowed to do that. In reality he was only allowed to be a puppet for Ashely & co. Scumbags. This section of Keegans statement says it all: “The Club admitted to the Tribunal that it repeatedly and intentionally misled the press, public and the fans of Newcastle United."

I was pissed off with the negative atmosphere inside SJP through out the season which is why I started Bring Back The Noise, Im just saying it how it is, nowt to do with claiming anything in hindsight. Robson started making mistakes but the way a lot of people started forgeting what he'd done for us was annoying, surley its obvious that fans stating 5th is unacceptable dosent bode well for the managers position.
-
Unfortunately I dont think thats true at all. We anything but 'worshipped' him by the end of his time here. Everyone was kicking off big style at finishing 5th. The fans deserted him and the team at the lap of honour, and SBR was caught talking about how Leeds got relegated that day but got cheered off the pitch yet he finishes 5th and gets that. There was no prespective, granted there was definetely some things wrong with the team and some players, and understandably people wernt happy with those things, but to take away all prespective as a lot of fans did and crucify ultimately a good finish in the Premiership was basically betraying him imo. I was more pissed off at the lack of support than missing out on CL football that season. I think the fans definetely get a bad deal when it comes to most other things like Roeder, Allardyce - "fans forced them out" etc which is rubbish, and the whole "Ashley bowed to fan pressure to get Keegan" etc is rubbish aswell - he was never mentioned before bieng appointed, and the cliched "relegation is toon fans fault not Ashleys". But the fans undoubtedly treated SBR shabbily at the end of his time, and could have made it much harder for Shepherd to sack him.
-
I can understand feeling a bit left down on the grounds of 'why agree to a DOF in the first place' & 'he could have maybe fought things out publicly and try and steer the team in the right direction in the mean time', but the genuine piss-taking of him & dismissiveness of him is just really sad, and just looks like jumping on the bandwagon to be 'cool'. We all now know Keegan was working with utter incompetant, lying twats.

Good. It is complete over-kill with Skysports. Jamie Redknapp rambling on, getting all heated about nothing, reapting himself every minute, him & Richard Keys totally over-'analysing' the slightest thing again & again, always looking for controversey - replaying someone who might have been by 1 inch offside a million times. Its so bloody false, and I know - 'just dont watch it'. The problem is, I think it becomes part of the culture, everything about football over analysed. ESPN was good because it was short & sweet, I'd obviously rather hear Kevin Keegan talking about a match then Redknapp, no going around in circles about nothing, Joe Royle is a good co-commentator - straight to the point, no bullshit, unlike Martin Tyler & Andy Gray.

Wouldnt standing outside/wherever with a massive JD SPORTS banner work, in terms of giving them free publicity via SSN/papers, and pissing Ashley off in the process?
-
Yes definitely. Especially with a lot of our ex players being cockneys too. Totally agree. Replace the word cockney with greedy.
-
boycotts are the only way to force the issue but 'fans' never see the bigger picture and insist on going regardless out of misguided loyalty which is ultimately helping the current. To those whingers who are still paying their hard earned cash to Ashley, take a good look in the mirror ffs. Well theres already a certain number of season ticket sold, and theres going to be around 10, 15k sold in general sale. So to reduce it to only season ticket holders attending something needs to be organised properly.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2009/ju...nes-mike-ashley Theres one cracking line in that article. http://www.theappointment.co.uk/news/?subm...lse&ID=3525 One about the closing down sales he's had. Have this printed outside his shops or what?
-
Anyone willing to get any of this going? Also anyone got any ideas how to incorporate JD Sports into this, such asa advertising them as the place to go to?
-
Because he cares more about money than anything else. He'd rather have chants against him than a loss in revenue, not that I dont want that chant bellowing out from the stands. Maybe like a message/vibe of 'this will be happening more & more if you decide to stay' If these figures of 25-28k season tickets are to be believed and lets say for arguments sake that 28k decide not to go to a game and the couple of thousand who buy on the day just go plus the away following he's still gonna have the same ammount of money!! ST holders have already paid he doesnt give a toss if we go or not! Theres going to be around 10k I'd say who would buy general sale tickets. Im saying anyone who buys tickets on general sale dosent go, thats still a decent drop in revenue for him, especially if it was going to keep happening if he stays.
-
Totally know how you mean mate. Ultimately though, I do think it does boil down to him trying to make as much money as possible. Hes holding out for a crazy price, just like last time it seems. If he cant get that greedy price, he will keep the club and gamble we get promoted, and then ask for another crazy price. This is how it seems to me. Massive loss in revenue could be the thing to kick it into his head that hes going to lose more money than he can retain.

Thats why people could compramise and tagret 1 specific game. I get to most games, will be there on sat. But would love the strongest message possible sent out to Ashley at least for one game, and think something should be organised.
-
Thats true, I mean if I didnt go on saturday it would hardly make any difference because nothing has been organised. I know what you mean about the season tickets, but how many have actually been sold? They say 25,000 but can you really trust what you say, was that not to drum up more sales? Who knows, but the 15,000 figure was bieng talked about. Still, 25,000 is still a big drop on say 35,000 if you include people going on general sale. A boycott for people who buy on general sale could be the message/plan. And aye, I totally agree about Sports Direct. Any ideas about getting it going asap?
-
Obviously we want Ashley to sell and do anything we can to help force it through. Making it extremely unwelcoming for him to be there is a necessity, targeting Sports Direct, and ideally I would love Ashley to walk into/see on tv a stadium that is practially empty as a message to him, because its hitting him where it hurts the most, his pocket. Now I understand a lot of fans wouldnt want to boycott the whole season, but in these times I think we should & could organise a date where a very large percentage of fans could agree that on that specific game we simply dont go, and dont part any money. Simply as a big fuck off message to him and to get him worried, because hes going to be at his most worried if he's losing money. Like I said, its a tricky one, because you cant force anyone not to go, and its maybe in a lot of peoples minds either boycott the whole season or dont boycott at all, but surley something can be organised for that 1 game to give the biggest message yet to Ashley.

This basically. Any humiliation of him, via the media too, is good enough. Any shake of the head by Llambias at 'greedy bastard' chants is good enough, times that abuse by 10 and lets see how much you shake your head then Derek? Something should be properly organised, like by NUSC possibly, such as like you say - 1st half: SBR Appreciation, 2nd half: Ashley abuse, and specific revealing of a number of banners at a certain time so its really blatent, and the press can be tipped off. -

dilligaf from newcastle-online done this picture. Reckon that should be blown up for a banner? Sorry but if he is going to sit in SJP on saturday he has to endure an uncomfortable evening. -
And have JD Sports & First Sport posters everywhere, give em loads of free advertising. When will it begin then?
-
Aye thats it, blown up picture of this http://img263.imageshack.us/i/llambiasinformation.jpg/ Cheers to people who tried & got a picture sorted out.
-
Stick JD Sports posters all around the ground/sports direct stores?
-
a 6ft by 4ft banner was made, im trying to upload it. It was help up in the stands when the teams lined up for the 2nd half, and held up further down on the walkway in the east stand/SE corner for the last 5mins of the match.

tim_nufc@hotmail.com Aye thats what the other pic is.

Somebody I know who has the machine capable of producing it. (the sam machine that produced the WANTED poster of Ashley & Wise). He was saying it needed to be around 300 otherwise it would just look like loads of 10p pieces. Whether it can be done for the Leeds game is pushing it though but I wanna try.
