It took me ages to think of something to go with the original quote! I'll put together another one and post it up. Cheers for that. It may or may not be done, but hopefully. I like the main part personally because its basically saying to people like Llambias after his recent comments- "stop pretending that anything you say will not be simply dismissed as utter bollocks, because it is" and that he can try & justify whats happened all he wants, but what he says will never be given an ounce of credibility from the fans.

The thing is the money we would get from a sponser would be a very small amount. Apparantley Arsenal get 3m a year from Emirates in a deal that was done pre credit crunch and is supposed to be one of the biggest sponsership deals in football. We'd get no-where near that even if the credit crunch hadnt happened let alone the fact taht brands are now much more cautious... 500k a year? Whats the point? And no way would it ever go towards the team anyway, even if it was magically a decent sum of money we were receiving.

Would anyone be able to make this picture 300DPI for me? http://img8.imageshack.us/i/foolme.jpg/

Regarding the protests on saturday, hopefully we'll get good media exposure. But if we do while constantly calling him a FCB it would, imo, be an own goal, and alienate us from others - fans accross the country and people in the meida, and the whole thing could end up counter productive. So I think its important new songs are made up for this. What about winter wonderland: Mike Ashley are you listenin Drop your pies & f*cking listen Your not wanted here, get your fat arse in gear Pack your bags & f*cking disappear ?

'Hes gonna die, Hes gonna die Mike Ashleys gonna die, How we kill him i dont know Cut him up from head to toe, All i know is Ashleys gonna die..' 'And we'll all hate Ashley till he dies, And we'll all hate Ashley till he dies, And we'll all hate Ashley, All hate Ashley, All hate Ashley till he dies. Singing die die Ashley Ashley die, Singing die die Ashley Ashley die, Singing die die Ashley, Die die Ashley Die die Ashley Ashley die..' 'Build a bonfire, Build a bonfire, Put Mike Ashley on the top, His cronies in the middle With Llambias on bottom and We'll burn the fucking lot!' 'Bit empthatic on death like. lol aye there emphasis on death might be a bit counter-productive publicity wise. Bonfire could be canny. Hark Now Hear The Geordies Sing Mike Ashley is a twat And we will fight, for St. James' As long as Ashley's here. -

With protests being arranged, and hopefully good press coverage, does everyone else agree that we need sing something else other than 'fat cockney bastard' because it could make us look stupid, and attract zero sympathy, targeting the fact hes a cockney (well not technically like). We need an alternative song, but something thats short and catchy so it can spread easily, anyone got any ideas? -

I agree basically. But I think there is a point to any protests too, if done with enough punch: to let any brands out there thinking of sponsering SJP know how strong the feeling is, and to potentially warn them off. But in terms of Ashley, I'd love to see a boycott, and I think the time has blatently came. Again though, it needs some organising. All while in hope that NUST will buy him out too. -
I think I know what you're trying to say but don't appreciate being called a 'clown'. Maybe you should look back at a couple of your own posts and have a re-think about calling other people clowns. I didn't renew this year as I didn't want Ashley walking away with my ST money in his pocket if he did sell, (HA!) but have went to every home game and a couple of aways. If he does re-name SJP I won't be back. If something gets organised in the way of a match boycott, I'll support it. I agree with action being called for and hope something that will actually have an impact will be launched. Its all good and well saying 'dont go then', but the fact is, like you say, it needs to be organised properly. I'd love a match boycott, I want it to happen. But if I dont go personally, theres still gonna be 35 - 40k there. Its not going to make a difference. But it needs to be organised, so contact NUST, NUFC.com, True Faith etc, try and get the ball rolling etc then.

And throw eggs! Egg his helicopter etc. Could get seats at the front of L7 Milburn and throw em from there, its to 'generate a european style atmosphere'
-
Getting seats in front of him/very near him, and simply absolutely stink. Take stink bombs whatever. Go there and hand out loads of leaflets to the people around about the petition - this would work if the story was in the media, ie.e "an embarrassed ahsley chose to escort fans sitting near him who were handing out leaflets about a petition against him".

sammynb : " Seriously there is no use targeting the club, the ground, the fat twat or his cronies. Pud said it a while ago, it just gives the cunt Ashley the opportunity to run to the media claiming fear for his life. A while ago it was discussed, it's in a thread somewhere, the only way to get a message across to this mindless cunt is to target his pocket. And the best way to do that is via his shops. So what needs to be organised and it's relatively simple, is a mass removal of his store's merchandise to the street or forecourt in front of each store. Target as many as possible simultaneously, don't steal or damage anything, just move as much stuff as you can outside and cause as much disruption to his retail outlets as possible. Then release a statement, (call the action group the People's liberation front of Geordia - or something) claiming as long as Ashley continues to disrupt and mock the club, his retail outlets will suffer a similar fate. There are 12 or so stores in the Newcastle-Boro-unwashed areas, easy pickings and it would send a message loud and clear. By the way it wouldn't be hard, the tight twat only employs a skeleton staff. " dbsweeney : " A quick off-the-top-of-my-head suggestion: * Try to organise a boycott of Direct Sports (soon to involve, I'm sure, Direct Sports' Stadium) stores: * Simply implore people to shop elsewhere. * A quiet protest in the front of shops telling people to please shop elsewhere. Do not in anyway actually hinder people's entry into the stores. * Contacting the newspapers to tell them what NUFC supporters are doing (the above). So many of the papers love to report and go on about us Toon supporters, so they'd probably take up the cause. Get those that really care (e.g. Caulkin etc.) to take up the cause. * Contact other media outlets (esp. things like podcasts and radio programs—those that full-on supporters are likely to be listening to) to simply mention the fact that SJP is going to be renamed. The more that are aware of it, the larger the potential supporter base. * Now don't laugh at this bit: trying to get other clubs' supporters involved. e.g. Going to a MUFC supporters' board and telling them what we're doing. Tell them not to shop at Direct Sports. Tell them to imagine renaming Old Trafford. Yeah, sure .. many will give us stick, but some may pay attention. * Contact the companies that currently advertise and/or own corporate boxes at St James' (Direct Sports' Stadium) Park and, very formally, ask them to please contact NUFC's marketing and sales department and suggest that they do not change the name. If any companies that you contact tell you to f**k off, say that'll you'll organise boycotting their shops/company etc too. All just a suggestion and one that would require A LOT of organisation ... but spread the word around through NUSC, NUFC.com, True Faith, popular message boards and then try to focus everyone's attention to one particular website/spot that co-ordinates all of this. What I have in mind is something that Liverpool supporters' did recently ... and achieved: http://thenyckopites.blogspot.com/2009/05/...n-condemns.html Yes, it's something completely different to whats happening to us ... but it does show that boycotting can work. Do not: - promote anything to do with violence or direct abuse at the vile man (the reasons why are obvious) - draw the players' attention from what they have to do on the pitch—they do not need the distraction. As such, I would not boycott match day games. Make it a co-ordinated and sustained boycott of things that effect him financially. In anything to do with writing emails to media and companies, I'm more than prepared to help. " This what sammynb & sweeney have said, and can we get things organised with things like this? Who on here is going to to do what of the above? -
We need to get the ball rolling on this, Im so sick of this mess and being stitched up by the twat, we really need to make a stand.
-
I understand what your saying, but no I dont want Premier League football right, Im not bothered about that anymore. The only reason Id be bothered would be if it garanteed that Ashley would go. The soul and heritage of the club is my main concern now, iand that will always be at jeopardy as long as Ashleys here. Enough is enough, weve been here before, a boycott neds to be organised imo, and we need to act now before we look back and think 'if only we..'.

Yet the accusation by some is "move forward, your bieng narrow minded". No - I want Keegan because he's [the best manager available for the club at this time/i]. Because I want the club to do well. Its actually short-sited to dismiss KK just because he's KK, even though, again, he's probably the best man available for it.
-
I love Keegan to bits, he's a great manager and a great guy and when you look around the club you can see his influence. However I wish we could move on. all this "move on" talk is crap. 12 months ago we had drawn away to man u keegan was looking for players and everything looked good. Ashley fucked that up not kk. Move on, I want to move back to then well all looked good, just without Ashley. This is how I feel too - what worries me though is Kev seems to have it in his head that the fans of NUFC may have had enough of him. I'm pretty sure that if he walked through the door tomorrow with a new owner of the club we'd all be excited again! Wish there was some way to let him know that the fans still think he's still loved. Email Richard Bevan mate from the LMA and tell him to pass it on

What's this 'would have'? We did the deal after all, for all the good it did us. Load of bollocks, I'd like to hang that little runt off the Gallowgate. Yes Dennis, we already KNOW money wasnt paid to the agents, we already KNOW there was no fee for the loan - theres no revelations there you idiot! The point is, it was 2 days before the window shut, we desparately needed to strenghten to squad, as no doubt KK was telling you every 5minutes, and your foremost interest instead was doing this deal for agents so we get good young uns in the following years! Heres the problem with that pathetic theory: Its no good if the team in the present is neglected and is get relegated!! How would these youngsters develop if they were coming to a poor team? And also - what a way to mess a kids career - "your going to Newcastle who are really poor team, even though you wont develop how you would at this other club who wants you" What kind of career does this Gonzalez have if hes happy to be a pawn for agents & clubs? What was Keegan supposed to do with him? Leave him out of the squad every week? Press: "Kevin, new signing Gonzalez hasnt been in the squad, any news on him?" Keegan: "Erm....." Wise totally missed the point, on purpose of course to deflect any wrong doing, he's an utter slimeball, who n is happy to try and tarnish KK's repuation to get away from justice. He should not be allowed to do that & get away with it lightly. And yes - where are these south americans! Come on! Im chuffed now, we're sorted, we're gonna be Brazil soon enough so a wouldnt worry about getting out of this league.
-
Why would getting KK back at nufc potentially be looked on as crazy? "Theres more than just 1 manager out there" "blinded by sentiment", "it will end in tears", "short-sited". Think about it more though. It is actually short sited to dismiss Keegan as a candidate for the job in my opinion. If it has been proved that KK was forced out the club, then why should the feeling people had for him last year be any different now? It has been proved his position was untenable, and that he was effectivley stitched up. This has been done so by him taking those con men to court to get the truth out. In fact, he had to do it regardless, because those con men were going to sue him for 2m (even though they, as a fact, forced him out themselves). It is utterly irrelevant what price his lawyers have put onto reputation damages as a) Its common high price tactics, the point isnt thinking they would ever get anything near because they obviously (nor KK) didnt, that was calculating a loss in potential future earnings through repuation damage Ashley could have caused until he is - 65! b.) Keegan wanted his reputation cleared through evidence and accpted this instead of going for any money, as long the truth came out. Its there on paper. On the football side where it matters - Keegan is a very good manager. He, after a slow start, managed get a very poor Newcastle team playing quality football, resotring confidence. He took the decision when fighting relegation to utalise the biggest strength of the squad in his opinion - the 3 strikers. It was a masterstroke to put Owen in a deeper role as it played perfectley into his style of play at this stage of his career. He's supposedly out of touch with the game according to cynics, yet he still had enough contacts in the game to bring in unknown Seb Bassong for example. Yes, there ARE other managers out there. The thing is - we dont exactly have Guus Hiddink knocking on our door! ANY manager is a risk, its ALWAYS a risk. Obviously you want to minimise that risk, and some cynics might say "not with KK" - well, no, not if the owner is Mike Ashley or someone just as incredibily stupid is the owner. "It will end in tears because he might not do well and tarnish his status" .... But he could very likely actually do very well! And if that was to be the case, wouldlnt that be what this game is ultimately about? And isnt it something worth striving for? And it comes back to that, not only could he do very well as oppose to badly, but the chances are he WOULD do very well, bcause again, HES ACTUALLY A VERY GOOD MANAGER. "Obsessed with legends" ... ok, but again, isnt the status and appreciation someone can work hard for and gain a big side of football, and a big part of what attracts us to the game? Really, when you think about it, thinking about memories of the game? Isnt that romantic aspect something that should not be looked down at? Even more so in the game these days where cheating is more common than ever, more & more souless stadiums bieng rolled out, fans bieng outpriced, superfictial hype more & more constant? The notion of Keegan coming back that 2nd time as manager for unfinished business - potentially lifting a trophy or pushing the club forward, restoring pride & potentially european football - while in the manner he'd no doubt want - that notion was brilliant, special, and would have been uncredibly satisfying. The notion now of him coming back for a 3rd time as manager with fire in his belly, unfinished business more than ever, putting right Ashley total mess, and going on to do well and take the club forward, restoring pride - because he is actually very much capable of doing so sentiment aside - is something that should not be ignored & dismissed. Personally, I'd wouthout a doubt persue it.
-
Sadly I think he's had his fingers burnt sufficiently that no future owner of NUFC would be able to tempt him back I'd like to think it would more be the case of a new owner realising the opportunity we'd have with Keegan and not having cliched cynical view about him.
-
Come home Keggy! We aint had enough cos we want the club to have as good a manager as poss - FINISH BUSINESS.
