I thought you akso said that he could play in 2 in front of the back 4 with Phillips š¤·š»āāļø
-
Not according to Dave earlier. But then he changed his mind over the course of a fuckin novella of a post
-
Yes ok, what about when we decided in general just the other day that the main reason weāre shite is because weāre fuckin knackered and major tactical tinkering is tricky half way through the season though? Or do you just want to repeat Dave and whatever pod cast you last listened to? For me, major tactical surgery can wait till Tonali is back because looking at it now that is what he was brought in for with the champions league very likely in mind. If Phillips or whoever is a success between now and the end of the season that may well see us playing with a two in midfield which apparently is immediately very popular this morning with Tonali being the other one
-
Will the two in this this system sit in front of the back four by any chance Dave?ā¦it seems that this wouldnāt necessarily release Bruno further forward after all, after the talking incessantly about that very thing on here for about a year now Maybe we do need to be tactically more flexible. But I think what weāre talking about here is a reaction to Tuesdays debacle. The main reason for our malaise is physical rather than tactical. Babies and bathwater are springing to mind hereā¦

Hmmmā¦thing is to me two holding midfielders was basically killed off by Busquets and Kante, itās the best part of 20 years out of date at the top level. I think a fit & firing Phillips is a good signing but if he takes 4-6 weeks to get up to speed then as a loan itās pretty pointlessā¦.

Okā¦ what does 4231 give us that 433 doesnāt in your opinion and which one would you mostly use away from home? š¤

A match fit Phillips yeahā¦

Yeah, not arguing. Just thinking about Jan 22 though when we got precisely what we neededā¦ it may be possible to get others who slot straight inā¦
-
Not sure about this. We need players who can hit the ground runningā¦ likely to take this lad a while to get up to speedā¦

All this talk of injuries and changing things is all well and good but some things are just written in the stars -

There was some analysis earlier this season that said weāve been playing precisely the same way as Liverpool did when Klopp first went there -

This is it. If this season fades away into mid table nothingness it may well be dagger to heart of some puntersā pride but I donāt have the āTHIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLEā gene. That phrase has been trotted out over the last month by people supremely unqualified to utter it. If what weāre dishing up isnāt acceptable to to you as a fan whatās your next move? Iād suggest itās out the door with the rest of the fuckin Jonny come latelys. Iāve always thought that there 11 shirts to support every weekend and then itās a personal choice thing, and for that last couple of months itās been about every three days which is where the problem mostly lies, not that people want to accept that as the main reason seeing as their association with a winning side is now looking precarious š The current squad indisputably deserve our unqualified support. The personal criticism of individuals visibly running out of steam and ideas is frankly bollocks. Howe has question to answer though.- 365 replies

@Renton @aimaad22 Youāre probably right and am suffering from my usual sore arse by trying to remain on this fence as long as possible š To say a good transfer window might sort this season out and get us 4th/5th isnāt fantasy land though. Itās not the Ashley/Bruce show any more. Am a lot more confident about getting 4/5 than I was about staying up in 21/22 š¤·š»āāļø If we donāt weāre in uncharted waters with the owners. Thereās a good chance theyāll let Howe go. Out of who is likely to be available I notice Naglesmann is the Germany coach for the Euros only. Unlikely winners iyam and youād think heās too young for the job full time. Bubdesliga winner and champions league semi finalist with an up and coming side. Decent CV that -

Think heās been slightly better in the last 3 games but aye after seeing the the difference Pope made then sticking with someone deemed not good enough 18 months ago is nuts tbh -

Youāre writing this season off before a transfer window for the worldās wealthiest club? I know itās frustrating, I know in defeat some comments are rash and knee jerky but after reading your constant negativity every time thereās as much as a misplaced pass Iāve got to put you out of your misery mate and tell you to stop talking fuckin bollocks š -

Physical and mental tiredness leads to poor decisions. This side were twatting Chelsea and Man United a month ago. Short memories. Changes need to be made like but the manager doesnāt appear keenā¦.
