red card for Charlie Adam at WHL Rangers 3 Celtic 2 about 18 mins left.... not a lot of skill on show but an exciting match according to Pat Nevin on 5live

Sixteen months after we became champions of what used to be called division 2, our opponents in the game which saw us reach that summit lie bottom of the entire football league, 4 points adrift with one point from 9 games.Players have been unpaid for months now as takeover plans have failed to come to fruition. And now this morning theyve sacked their manager, one Mr P Reid, formerly of Albainia-on-Wear...sacked for a poor run of results apparently, by (you'll never guess, top man at a crisis hit club) Peter fuckin Ridsdale http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14964634.stm

On what basis would NUFC report McKay? Representing Barton with NUFC and QPR, i think thats frowned upon which is why they claim Barton represented himself in the QPR deal. But he was going on a free anyway, it's not like we missed out on any money. Unless you're suggesting that McKay induced Barton into those tweets in order to get a free transfer? If we learnt anything this summer it was the freer the transfer the higher the agent fee. I presume by representing himself Barton also would have gained financially. An intereting set of incentives at play anyway. Only 2 parties involved no "transfer fee" for the clubs to haggle about. So only the contract to negotiate....how the fuck can Mckay justify at least 1 million for an afternoon's work?....the likes of Fifa and the FA want shooting for handing a huge amount of control of the game over to the likes of these fuckers. Middle men are cunts. What the fuck do they bring to party?....am all for a player's interests' to be protected but if they used the PFA or some other registered salaried individual then the huge fees agents pick up could either go to the talent or stay in the game. How much skill does it take to negotiate a contract?...can you get a book from the library on it?..I'd be tempted to do that rather than line the pockets of some spiv with ideas above his station in life Yeah get a book out the library. yeah well.."football contracts for idiots" could be a bestseller What do you actually need to know?......if we take this story at face value then Barton and Mckay have between them extorted a couple of million out of 2 football clubs for next to no effort, just by being a bit smart, very brazen and not giving a fuck about the consequences. I'm not saying I could do it, but I really don't think it's rocket science.

Ray Parlour...the Romford Pele was there an Italian called Roberto Punucci or something?.....

Don't you need folk like Moore though to be the antidote to the other foaming mouthed nutters in the US media who oppose everything he says though?....the best ("truest"?)way of thinking about these things is to pick and choose valid points from both sides. Going into Afghanistan could be justified in 2001, going into Iraq the following year was fuckin lunacy iyam.

hadn't seen that....local property devloper/football club "saviour"/gangster Eddie Mitchell inviting the "Steve Fletcher Stand" regulars for a chat. Steve Fletcher is still a player at AFCB and the stand named in his honour has a life sized effigy of the player himself perched on top of it some strangely similar sentiments to our own in the local rag... http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/924..._on_field_rant/ even more worrying, from the bbc report: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/e..._2/14773109.stm

All things being equlal, he should be on the bench tomorrow night. Ryan Taylor's done nowt wrong this season bar being shown up a bit by Gervinho in the first half v Arsenal. No disgrace in that. If Simpson's not at the top of his game he can be shown up by virtually anyone. And this season of all seasons we need all the goal threat we can get on to the pitch. Cheers again Mike.

Got this from the fb page.... looks like someone was a Lee Payne fan I think this was from the live Sunday game v manu the season we went down, nowts each?.....check out the manu side...Garton? Gill? Ralph fuckin Milne? Fergie's brought them a long way. Was up most of the night before this match getting bombed in various ways..then straight into the Strawberry for the best part of a gallon of draught Becks, into the ground where I promptly fell over right in front one of Northumbria's finest..."a knaa ye are fuckin wrecked but just fuckin behave" he uttered whilst helping me to my feet, best copper Ive ever met at a football game looks like I'm struggling to embed this is the link

The Chronic just emailed the questions to the PR bird at SJP and got a entirely predictable set of bland corporate PR bullshit answers. No chance to challenge the answers (and no doubt no effort to even propose that on the Chron's side) but when the next horrendous set of club decisions occur (my guess, late January/early February ) and provokes a reaction from the fans they can point to " we answered fans questions in September blah blah blah...." Utterly pointless excercise and sadly all too predictable.

Its paul wyn I feel sorry for...hes been accused of being a paedo in gen chat and nobody has flounced on his behalf.... ;-)

The problem is around 1 in 7 English players are black. Even allowing for foreign managers, the Glasgow gang, multi millionaire players and Fergie seemingly going on till hes 108, there should still be more than 2 black managers from 92 clubs. The Rooney rule changed a similar situation in the NFL. Dont know how it would get on here, but the 2007 superbowl was contested by 2 teams lead by black head coaches. Teams aren't forced to appoint a black guy, just interview them. But that would indicate some sort of process, not just phoning big Sams agent and offering him the job like that....
-
And your evidence for that?... Are you suggesting that black ex players dont want to be managers?.. Andy Cole might not have his heart in it as hes unlikely to need to do a days graft in his life again. 2 from 92 suggests theres something going on iyam. Read what Paul Davis says in the article....
-
Thats the point though.....look how many home grown black players there are. Not so many from your list. Its almost impossible to prove, but the figures suggest that prejudice exists. And the anecdotal stories such as Paul Davies above.
-
Two from 92 is a disgrace iyam. I know Blackburn Billy has a strong dislike for Oliver Holt because of this issue and Holt was wrong about Paul Ince, his record was awful at Blackburn and a white manager wouldve been pumped too .Ince had only managed a professional football team about 70 times (which may have had more to do with his problems) when given the Blackburn job, but that is 70 more than Brian Robson when he got the Boro job. Holt does make a good basic point about this issue though: This appears to be a bit of a campaign from the Mirror...cant find todays feature on Andy Cole but he was bombed out at Hudderrsfield before he could even discuss a contract.....could be nothing in it, but as I say 2 from 92 suggests discrimination. Wrong and also illegal in this country. As is disregarding half the population (hello ladies) Hope Powell wouldve been a better appointment than Joe Kinner

Despite how it appears on here sometimes Howman is more a 'vodka and tonic in the Percy' merchant ;-) Happy birthday Davey....dont let the bastards grind you down :-D

50p tax rate......who exactly is being put off by it and thus "slowing the recovery?....hedge fund managers? local government cheifs?...footballers?... "The economists dispute these estimates, arguing the 50p rate “punishes” wealth and entrepreneurship." This is what they appear to be basing this proposistion around, but am fucked if I can work out who is being so discouraged that they will award themselves a salary in excess of 150k p.a. in the first few years of setting up a business in this country. I bet the fuckers who signed the letter demanding change are affected by it though

Wasnt Di Stefano an Argie who played for about 3 different countries too?
