CT you're confusing a purple patch from Cisse (one of the best scoring runs in the top divison for 30 years, it was freakinsh, literally everythinghe hit went in whether it was a glaring chance or he conjured something unbeleiveable out of nothing) last spring with the whole of last season. Forget it mate, it wasnt all like that. Brighton,Fulham,Spur...regardless of personnel available they were all fuckin abysmal. A lot of ohers were merely "iffy"...v Bolton with 4th still a real possibility we were fuckin shocking too. Bordeaux?...look at squidwards last run out in the premier league and then look at the room he gets in Europe. Ben Arfa gets no room in league games but he's our best player because once or twice a game he'll dance past a defender or two and either create or score a goal himself. We're a slightly above average side. And we were last season too. If Ashley opens his wallet and brings in the players we need in January we'll have a good season iyam.

Spoony..where do you start with that fuckin strap-on? 606 is dreadful and has been for a decade or more. When Green does it if your point isnt about manu,chelsea,arsenal or his bloved lfc then he's on rocky ground, and if its about a team outside the prem he's completly fuckin stumped. Jason Roberts mouths cliches by the dozen and Robbie Savage shoves his ego down you lug holes to the the extent that he's fuckin unlistenable. The last half decent presenter was Richard Littlejohn, who, regardless of his profession,employer and polictical views came across as a fairly ordinary fan of the game with a very good all round knowledge of all divisons.

Thing is, the ST & members only thing deters anyone who just fancies going. If he's worried about what fans get up to, make sure theyve provided ID before theyre issued with a ticket. 25 quid a year membership for what amounts to just that is a pisstake.

That poor bloke comes across as a very credible witness...he's made the same complaint to police in the late 70s as well apparently but as a child he was ignored...I think whoever is still alive from those days and was involved will be sleeping very uneasily nowadays though.

Aye, DSG. I worked on a lot of the superstores they built in the 90s. Very hard customer to satisfy, theyd come in and say on a Friday afternoon that the plans had changed and we'd have to complete a certain task before Monday, no questions asked. So we'd have to work the weekend, regardless of plans made as theyd kick our comapny off the preferred contractors list if we didnt play ball. Changed days now, theyre shutting the superstores that dont make money or merging them with PC World stores.

Tkts for next summers gigs on sale tommorow @ 0930......any tips on how to be in with at least in with a chance of getting fixed up via phone or online? there's 3 ticket outlets, signed up with them all, so open a window for all of them? 2 phones ringing through as well?...how early is it worth logging on?....usually avoid big "event" gigs like this, usually because of bollocks like this, but they were sooooooo good at V fest I can't keep away....

Dont know which one of the Eurpean Cups it was when Thompson was captain, but he took the trophy and threw it in the back his Jag, took it to his local in Kirkby so all his mates could have their photo took with it Apparently he had a hardware shop there as well....two brothers in my old sunday morning team, their parents are from Kirkby and knew his family well. Still speak fondly of the fuckin gobshite him
