  1. If the next 4 months are a distinct improvement it will be disappointing in a way, a huge missed oppurtunity to keep in touch with the top 6. Got to agree though am looking forward to seeing the new lads play
  2. Am not giving any praise to any fucker for all these signings as they shouldve spent the money in the summer....we might not be 2 points above the drop zone if they had....
  3. This was reported before christmas wasnt it? That he'd be signing a pre contract deal with us this month...
  4. Quite fuckin true and speaking as a Borderer it grinds my fuckin teeth to hear all these kids sounding like extras from fuckin Trainspotting; adding "ehhhyy??!!" on to the end of every bastard statement they make. The Border Scots of the Cheviots that I speak has much in common with the English dialect spoken in Northumberland; lots of the words are the same. Changing now though. I blame the fuckin idiots' lantern that is multi channel TV
  5. Do you think we're keeping all current squad members and adding to it this window?
  6. Are we really thinking we're getting cover for left back without Santon leaving?....ditto Colo and the Montpellier Pele?....
  7. Sooo.....to summarise...the Montpellier president has all but confirmed he's joining us by basically agreeing with Fergie's assesment of NUFC?
  8. Agree about Bramble. We called him "black Bobby Moore" A lot of weeks he was man of the match. Then we'd be on the box and he'd fall over his shoelaces or miss an easy clearance or something and the nation would think he was utterly fuckin useless.
  9. 1934: Southampton have also confirmed that three of Nigel Adkins' coaches have been released as Mauricio Pochettino looks to finalise the make up of his backroom staff. Assistant manager Dean Wilkins and first-team coaches Andy Crosby and Jim Stannard have left the club. They have been replaced by Jesus Perez, Miguel D'Agostino and Toni Jimenez respectively. All three coaches worked with Pochettino during his time in charge of Espanyol.
  10. If you feel like that, why the wind up user name?.....not that I'm remotely offended, but ffs, come on Are all mackems a bit confused?...oops! another generalisation, you dont like them do you?.....

Born in Hampstead, London in 1935, he directed films including Scorpio and Death Wish. He was also famous for his barbed restaurant reviews, written for The Sunday Times under the banner "Winner's Dinners". Winner had been ill for some time. Last summer, he said liver specialists had given him 18 months to live. Paying tribute to her husband, Mrs Winner said in a statement: "Michael was a wonderful man, brilliant, funny and generous. "A light has gone out in my life." Winner began his career as a journalist and film critic before joining Motion Pictures Limited as a writer and editor in 1956. His first work as a director was satirical but he became more well known for his action films, especially the violent Death Wish series, starring Charles Bronson. In later years, he also directed a series of commercials for an insurance company featuring the catchphrase "calm, down dear!" Two years ago, Prime Minister David Cameron was criticised for addressing the line to a female colleague in the House Of Commons during a debate on the NHS. For his entry in the 2012 edition of Who's Who, the director listed his interests as "eating, being difficult, making table mats, washing silk shirts" and "doing Pilates badly".
  12. oh aye, Andy Brassel, he was bound to know the inside track...... Am I missing out not being on twitter?
  13. Theres oodles of extra cash on the table in the premier league next season.....Mike could be just about even on his outlay with that extra 60mill(?)....
  14. he wouldnt have been if he hadnt let Derby fuckin county take 4 points off us. I think Pardew is toast without 3 points at Villa. I'm trying to think of a manager on a similar run who had the dubious pleasure of taking his club down at the end of the season....doesnt happen nowadays.
  15. FA cup 4th round this weekend. League matches moved. We're not in the cup. Again.
  16. BREAKING NEWS: Film director and restaurant critic Michael Winner has died aged 77 Same age as my old man....tbh Winner always seemed decades older than him. "Wit, rancontueur, bon viveur"....and Michael liked a pint as well
  17. There may have been more to it than that....there was a ruck after they got beat off Sweden. We dont know what else has gone on. He chose not to renew his contract. I certainly wouldnt suggest it had no baring on his decision, but I doubt if any manager worth his salt would turn a job down because there was a player at the club he hadnt got on with in the past. If he was offered it. Which he won't be...probably
  18. literally or metaphorically?.... Snowbound no doubt.
  19. So they had a tiff at the world cup?....have you had a row with your boss at work?...do you think that stops managers from taking jobs/players being able to play for managers they dont get on with?...it has done, and a lot of it is well publicised. But most people are a bit "meh" about their bosses. HBA is off to PSG in the summer anyway
  20. The er, post you replied to?...you know, why you've signed up here and are posting etc?...do you take it all to heart?...
