Thought Hangeland and Senderos were very good, but Fulham decided a point was good enough after we didn't give them a moment on the ball hardly all match. We're not Barcelona. And never have been. These players don't give up for Pardew though, he must be doing something right. Effort is always as important as inspiration, and what you do when you haven't got the ball is always as important as what you do when you do have it.That is something we do have in common with Barcelona. Thought Hangeland and old wossisname from Arsenal were excellent....we played well v 11 men behind the ball for most of the second half. Feel sorry for Sissoko hes not had a rest since he signed and now looks out on his feet after an hour or so in most games.

No, but we didn't have Ryanair then either....largely agree with what you say about income, but that is the difference, not class. Or are we saying the old middle class that would run a fuckin mile from a load of folk drinking beer and singing before a football match has disappeared, and the only people who can't afford a weekend or two abroad during the year are those too lazy to get a job in the first place?...its a tricky one, but there are a range of other factors too...possibly not many who went midweek had two or three teenage kids to bring up, in saying that it certainly didn't look like it and if the kids are in a single parent family being brought up by the mother then the state is likely to be taking the strain, leaving more disposable income for the old man for a jolly up. Not many of the Provence set are on tax credits as far as I know..btw the baked cod was lovely, but the other 3 had burger and chips, and 8 euros a head would indicate it wasn't exactly "posh"
