    Funny how CT claims that he knows how Ferguson and Moyes do things when he was tipping Pardew for England this time last year....Certainly any near 22 year old who had come through the ranks at manu and isn't really in the first team picture is either out on loan or is just about to be moved on, see Danny Simpson for details. That's the situation Shanes in too. At 22 hes unlikely to grow much more and sadly he reminds me very much of a 14 year old paper boy. Hes got a nice left foot but no real pace. Not good enough for where we're wanting to be I wouldn't have thought, but CT can see into the mind of SAF so what do I know?...

    You dont understand what you stated in the first place. You said it was unbalanced, as a piece of journalism its plainly not. I happen to agree with some of the points you make, but one mans excuse is another mans valid point. We're allowed to say "no thats bollocks Alan". Whether we can than back it up is another question. But the point remains. the article balances crticism,reasons and the journo's own conclusions. We're allowed to disagree with the reasons, thats fine.

    You said the article wasnt balanced before you moved the goalposts...again... If you dont agree with the sdpin coming out here then thats fine. But it is balanced. This: is basically implicit criticism of Pardew. He makes those calls, but Bird stops short of caliing him personally fuckin useless as he wants to maintain a relationship. This: blances the criticism. You can disagree if you want with the points, but as a piece of journalism it is balanced.

    If it had been clearly seen the Haidara tackle was serious foul play, and there is a reason why Halsey couldnt see it, he was unsighted. Suarez is violent conduct, and they will make an exception for that it would appear. Ben Thatcher got a booking for a "foul" on Mendez, but it was reviewed and he was then charged with VC. Clear as mud...

    Bird said Pardew has fucked certain things up this season in his piece, dont think anyone would disagree with him or you on that. What you then get is Pardew's take on these things such as the set piece thing etc etc...his piece is balanced, you appear to want a hatchet job. Not going to happen.

    Its not the terms, its the message 8 years sends out. There is two ways he'll be sacked...relegation or a shit start to next season. Both are fairly possible.

    What do you make of his "inside knowlegde" CT...theres stuff in there you can only get from having a good relationship with the staff at the club you're covering. Its hardly earth shattering stuff, but you know its been sanctioned from the changing room. Access like that has to be worked on and you dont get it by slaughtering the manager.

    Nowts each v Reading and West Ham in the last month with teams containing Gerrard, Suarez and Coutinho suggest that this lot aren't exactly Brazil 1970, 2 each v Chelsea? we beat them at home in January...theyre safe in mid table, nowt really to play for. We've been mediocre-average, some good performances, some bad. It'll likely be a draw but theres not need for out and out pessimism iyam.
