I see your quote, fair one. But normally you cant be suspended from your graft for being charged with an offence. Possibly something footballers have in their contracts to stop the err "good name of the club" being tarnished. I think thats rocky ground legally mind.
-
If you're charged with an offence it doesnt automatically mean you're suspended from your job though. See Titus Bramble for details.

Fed wins 4th set tie break....hell of a match!
-
why? he's been charged with nothing. Unless the lass works for the club why would he be suspended?.... Am not denying he's a waste of fuckin space as a footballer. No club is going to take him on his wages though so it looks like we're stuck with him. But he's also a human being with the same legal rights as the rest of us.
-
Murray about to serve for the match....he's beasted Fed tbh, so much power despite a couple of lapses in concentration.
-
Such as what?....he was found not guilty of assault a couple of months back and, whilst this is undoubtedly an unsavoury incident by the sounds of it, it should be noted he's not been charged with anything and woman+hotel room+footballer = no doubt one persons word against the other. And a whole load of women "at it", see the present court case involving Brighton players. Hes been capreted for being late for training...thats about it iirc.

This may be concentrating his mind on us...from the Guardian... Florian Thauvin, Bastia's 19-year-old attacking midfielder is another player on Newcastle's shopping list and is likely to arrive at either St James' Park or Arsenal for around £4m before the end of next week. -
Ignore me. A week of nights, got in at 5, cant get back to sleep. But crowd chanting at Tennis is just wrong, they sound fuckin ridiculous. Meenzer, ask David Kelly about the Cabaye song in Bruges. Him and his mates invented it and sang for 6 hours non stop. Bastards. I told him at the time Billy Ray Cyrus was about as cool as wearing a mullet. Murray breaks Federer....if he wins this service game he does anyway...

So how long did Goufran have left on his Bordeaux deal? is that why he was cheap? We wouldnt have signed Goufran if the Remy deal hadnt fallen through iyam.If we were that keen why try to spend 8 mill on Remy? Definetly a second choice. The Remy deal wasnt cheap, so in bringing in a striker the first thought wasnt "who can we get on the cheap?" Good money was avalable for Remy but I doubt if it is now seeing as weve spent over 15 million this window. We paid the same money or very similar to what we were quoted in the summer for Debuchy. We didnt get 3 or 4 million knocked off a for a player with 5 months left on his contract. I think it was just another roll of the dice for Ashley in the summer and it failed spectacularly. He tried to wing it and it blew up in his face. Thats why we've signed 5 players this month rather than trying to be canny about players' contracts at the selling club. The only one you could have possibly said that about is Sissoko but weve ended up paying money even for him becauae his club told him to fuck off for trying to sign a pre contract so he could walk away for nowt in the summer.
-
Crowd chanting players' names at tennis.....why don't they all go and fuck off? Its just embarassing. "lets go murray lets go" lame as fuck.
-
Dunno....have we saved a million on Debuxhy? is Gouffran anything other than 2nd choice after Remy? Sissoko fair enough in a way, looks like he didnt want to wait till the summer to join. I think it was was a case of "there ya go Awl, if it aint broke why faakin fix it?" from Ashley in the summer. Chronically short sighted with a Euro campaign ahead. And if we're so keen on the money side, how much do we lose by finishing in the bottom six as opposed to the top 8?...

If the next 4 months are a distinct improvement it will be disappointing in a way, a huge missed oppurtunity to keep in touch with the top 6. Got to agree though am looking forward to seeing the new lads play- 1745 replies

Quite fuckin true and speaking as a Borderer it grinds my fuckin teeth to hear all these kids sounding like extras from fuckin Trainspotting; adding "ehhhyy??!!" on to the end of every bastard statement they make. The Border Scots of the Cheviots that I speak has much in common with the English dialect spoken in Northumberland; lots of the words are the same. Changing now though. I blame the fuckin idiots' lantern that is multi channel TV -
Do you think we're keeping all current squad members and adding to it this window?
-
Are we really thinking we're getting cover for left back without Santon leaving?....ditto Colo and the Montpellier Pele?....
-
Sooo.....to summarise...the Montpellier president has all but confirmed he's joining us by basically agreeing with Fergie's assesment of NUFC?
-
when was the last time we had two quality centre back?
PaddockLad replied to Dr Gloom's topic in Newcastle Forum
Agree about Bramble. We called him "black Bobby Moore" A lot of weeks he was man of the match. Then we'd be on the box and he'd fall over his shoelaces or miss an easy clearance or something and the nation would think he was utterly fuckin useless. -
1934: Southampton have also confirmed that three of Nigel Adkins' coaches have been released as Mauricio Pochettino looks to finalise the make up of his backroom staff. Assistant manager Dean Wilkins and first-team coaches Andy Crosby and Jim Stannard have left the club. They have been replaced by Jesus Perez, Miguel D'Agostino and Toni Jimenez respectively. All three coaches worked with Pochettino during his time in charge of Espanyol.

Born in Hampstead, London in 1935, he directed films including Scorpio and Death Wish. He was also famous for his barbed restaurant reviews, written for The Sunday Times under the banner "Winner's Dinners". Winner had been ill for some time. Last summer, he said liver specialists had given him 18 months to live. Paying tribute to her husband, Mrs Winner said in a statement: "Michael was a wonderful man, brilliant, funny and generous. "A light has gone out in my life." Winner began his career as a journalist and film critic before joining Motion Pictures Limited as a writer and editor in 1956. His first work as a director was satirical but he became more well known for his action films, especially the violent Death Wish series, starring Charles Bronson. In later years, he also directed a series of commercials for an insurance company featuring the catchphrase "calm, down dear!" Two years ago, Prime Minister David Cameron was criticised for addressing the line to a female colleague in the House Of Commons during a debate on the NHS. For his entry in the 2012 edition of Who's Who, the director listed his interests as "eating, being difficult, making table mats, washing silk shirts" and "doing Pilates badly".
