Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
PaddockLad replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
In what way?...he's had a couple of encouraging cameos, but its a bit like saying Fergie will be a world beater after a good run and cross v Stoke a couple of years ago..who said that again?...- 10610 replies

Appropos of absoloutely nothing, anyone know how Mactoon is getting on?....

Aye, as has been said in many places she may be dead but Thatcherism is likely to always be with us. Thats a shame about the tax break for you, hows the job hunting going?.
-
You got a new job yet mate?....if not, blame Thatcher

I wonder how the police will try to keep the peace on the streets as she gets her last moment in the spotlight?....there will have to be a copper every 5 yards. They'll probably intern any known trouble makers this weekend for 7 days "just in case"

Thats a great read Meenzer Wouldnt celebrate anyones death, nobody has wronged me personally that much. However its difficult to argue with the thrust of this: "You presided over the dismantling of the UK's manufacturing base, sold off the country's commonly owned silverware to a bunch of money-grubbing, pinstriped opportunists, practically eliminated the country's social housing stock and eroded the welfare state by unleashing the worst of which the British people are capable – fear, ruthless greed and small-minded loathing, racism, xenophobia and homophobia – adding insult to injury by administering all this with a sickly, acrid, old-fashioned dose of castor oil moralism. It is just that you rot in senile purgatory and die a lonely death."

Which you then decide is shite after reading the following morning's Sun and usually post what it says on here

Am trying to keep my personal feelings out of it and compare her record with others. She changed a lot of things, but so did Roy Jenkins. As Home Secretary he abolished capital punishment and legalised both abortion and homosexuality. Roy Jenkins fundamentally changed millions of people's lives as much as Thatcher did. Some would argue more so. State funeral for Woy? not mentioned as far as I recall...

Wtf? Why? I dont get it. What did she acheive?...Blair won more wars than her and the economy sorted for over a decade too. Blair and Major also acheived peace in Northern Ireland. Am not a supporter of any of these people but why all the plaudits for her?...first woman PM? isnt this now supposed to be an equal society because of the likes of her? would she like to be singled out? did she acheive more than the Pankhursts on that score? Utter, utter shite. agreed We play Benfica before the mackems...(attempted) silence before the game Thursday?..
-
Is the Benfica game more important?....given the chance I'd be tempted to make a deal with the devil for this game only...give us a two nowt on Thursday and Sunday won't matter as much...or does it?...

Didnt Jonas have a run at left back before?...started well iirc, then tailed off somewhat...Duff was the same. We need specialists, not bit parters.

HBA wont start CT, even Pardew will learn from last time. Seemingly not yourself mind.
-
Not seen many players with a better first touch in general...a mate said it about a month after he signed....."just watch him and look how he takes the ball"...its a thing of beauty
-
>Yeah...didnt think it was lack of effort though, although it can look like that when the opposiston are as inspired as they were. Saying it was is not looking at what how they played in the game, which is where CT came in when it appeared to him that Fulham were "toothless". I suppose we all see different things though. This team, actually this club, is a work in progress. Over acheiveing last season and underacheiveing this. We do have a good squad but we lack consistancy. If we are to all join Mike's happy bus, we're going to need a lot of patience and accept our limitations. Our away form needs to improve next season to say the least. Not playing in Europe will help...if we don't go and do something daft like win the Europa league...

Thought Hangeland and Senderos were very good, but Fulham decided a point was good enough after we didn't give them a moment on the ball hardly all match. We're not Barcelona. And never have been. These players don't give up for Pardew though, he must be doing something right. Effort is always as important as inspiration, and what you do when you haven't got the ball is always as important as what you do when you do have it.That is something we do have in common with Barcelona. Here endeth the lesson

Anything to do with what we did when we didn't have the ball by any chance?.....
