If it wasn't for the premier league and Sky we wouldn't have had Keegan the manager, Shearer or the entertainers That's a strong statement CT, care to elaborate on that?...income increased for all top division clubs clubs post 1992, so to say it would never have happened is pointless tbh, manu wouldn't have won squllions of titles either.

Has he been in the news lately?....best off arresting anyone who worked at radio 1 in the 70s & 80s iyam for this sort of carry on, shocking

As usual, am behind the curve somewhat tech wise, so after recently coming into posession of an iPad, I thought it would be a piece of piss to upload my iTunes library to the icloud, which hasn't really worked as I've never bought any music through iTunes and apparently all the cds I've uploaded to iTunes won't be accepted by the icloud? If this is the case, can anyone recommend a cloud service that will let me upload about 8gb worth of randomness?...

Its American IPA, a bit like Goose Island...but not as much as this stuff, which is another IPA, this time brewed in Cornwall..... Both available in Sainsburys, its a sort of popularity contest for ale...they dont usually stock either, but the one that sells the most stays on the shelves. Not sure how long the gig is running, got these two last weekend, theres dozens to try

This bad boy is, as you old skool North East drinkers will know, a famous beer name: made in Houghton, must be where the old head brewer from Vaux set up his micro outfit.... Double Maxims were, despite the obvious tramp connection, much underrated iyam.....this is canny too...hoppy as a bag of frogs

Football has been corrupt since the first player was paid to kick a ball. Its just the sums involved nowadays that are obscene, slightly less so than the rule changes in 1991 that have ultimately allowed the likes of Abramovic and the Qataris to come into the English game. They are just the tip of the iceberg though; think of all the fuckers who came into the game in the 90s and fuckin ruined dozens of clubs..Wimbledon, Sheff Weds, Leeds etc etc all ruined by cunts who wanted to line their own pockets. Having said all that, the biggest case if corruption in the English game is undoubtedly the Hillsborough disaster which was just three years before the Premier League was formed, which sort of made the general public forget that 96 football supporters had died a short time before Murdoch ushered in the era of "a whole new ball game". You can fuckin say that again Rupert...the truth about Hillsborough only properly came out earlier this year,24 years on. Abramovich doesn't really come close tbh. The Qatar slavery thing is something different, its pretty common in that part of the world for immigrant labour to be exploited to the point if death. Human rights organisations had been lobbying Fifa about this since it was announced that Qatar would be hosts yet they only act when the story that 44 Nepalese labourers have died this summer when it made the front page of the Guardian this morning. No change there then.

City have Chelsea and Norwich either side of the next round, we have the tramps and Chelsea...city also have champions league games....i think they'll play a fairly scratch side, and we did do Chelsea in this cup at their place on similar circumstances a few years back. The balls in Pardews court as to what side he puts out, regardless of what those pair of twats said at that meeting the other night.

at times in that clip he looks like a young Robert Pires...he should be tried there when Haidara comes back, maybe in the next round of the league cup??....as I've said, theres no doubt he's a good footballer... -

Am I right in saying the draw is at 10pm via the medium of skysports?.....

Win a cup?....that would get us into Europe and lets face all those extra games would be a disaster.

Doubt if Keegan bollocked players for laughing during a training session though. PDC sounds like a bully to me.

If Sissoko is this fabled "box to box" midfielder, then I'd expect him to be covering Debuchy & Santon's runs forward. Or Anita, as logically the midfielder who sits "deepest"(?) But on Saturdays evidence goals 1 & 3 for Hull were examples of nobody taking responsibility for abosoloutely fuckin anything. Nobody covers in this team it would appear. Fair enough Villa was a good performance but we have several surrenders last season to also take into consideration. The pattern on this isnt good iyam. -

I dont care if we are having this one again but Debuchy isnt playing as a wingback, not playing beside only two centrebacks. He has nominally 2 players in front of him to play in the right hand channel. Nowt wrong with getting forward in that system, an overlapping fullback is hardly a new thing but youve got to pick and choose better than Debuchy does as his teamates aren't covering him. In a back 4 the first priority of a fullback is to defend. Same goes for Santon who's had twice as long to "learn the league". I hope they both prove me wrong tbh, theyre both plainly good footballers but all at sea positionally in the system most want to see the team play in. -
We didnt get Lukaku in because we got Remy instead. We were only ever going to get one player in.

Yes, he was rather stretching the point. Not like him

Best player on the park for an hour on Satuarday iyam.

Weelll....a lot of "managers" are in reality just the coach of a bunch of players recruited by someone else nowadays. See Alan Pardew at NUFC It rings half true to me, look at Commoli at Spurs...his big mistake was appointing a coach who couldnt speak English, but the players he bought in were all at least decent, and in some cases brilliant. All it takes is the right coach...

Louise Taylor, the thinking mackem's crumpet: Di Canio can count himself unlucky after being asked to incorporate 14 summer signings made by Roberto De Fanti, the club's director of football. Of those recruits 13 were foreign and only five had previous Premier League experience. Their failure to communicate properly forfeited a series of goals – and points – at set pieces, with the former Swindon manager's willingness to highlight players' errors in public drawing widespread criticism. Di Canio was adamant that, given time, his bold attacking game plans – 4-2-4 was the favoured formation – would pay dividends and his strict new disciplinary regime would transform Sunderland's fortunes. Short disagreed but how the Italian must rue his board's failure to bow to repeated requests to sign Tom Huddlestone from Tottenham last month. Instead the powerful midfielder is shining at Hull. Di Canio's successor faces a considerable challenge as he endeavours to repair shattered morale and steer Sunderland clear of relegation waters.

Anyone know if its possible to use one of these gizmo's "in reverse"?... http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=bluetooth+transmitter&tag=googhydr-21&index=aps&hvadid=28053572793&hvpos=1t1&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=20799128021863823192&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_17kfaxmsd_b I've got an elderly amp with a brilliant sounding phono stage on it... if I were to plug one of the receiver devices into the headphone jack or "phono out" line am thinking it should be able to send a signal to a pair of bluetooth speakers?....or am I talking bollocks?...I understand that the speakers would need a power supply too, batteries or a usb charge etc...
