Whats Poyet's style of play then?....can you give an outline of its salient features please and and perhaps a detailed comparison with how Pardew sets us up?...thanks in advance...
-
Russian money by any chance?...
-
CT has no problem with Mike Ashley, wanted Pardew out, and thinks Kinnear as DoF may work The people shouting loudest about Pardew on here last season barely uttered a word of complaint about Ashley when he was filling the squad with a player or two we didn't need and not buying the striker we did.
-
You do like a "told you so!!" don't you?.. I think anyone clamouring for Pardew's head was always going to disappointed to say the least if Ashley did cut him last month. But I cant be that harsh, anyone sitting through those last 3 home games has legitimate cause for complaint.
-
This, roughly translated for your benefit, means "be careful what you wish for" but I dare say TS is mostly right, Ashley likes a DoF.
-
If he's swallowing this he's got the pride of a two bit whore. He is, however, the best chance we have of staying in the division. If he does walk, and who could blame him if he did really, we're fucked, regardless of if we stay up this season or not. Kinnear somehow managing to keep us in the division means another season of Kinnear. Ashley what the fuck are you thinking? You're risking all you've built since 2009 on giving an old pisshead mate a job.Does he think the Sports Direct board would put up with this shit?...
-
How do the Pardew out brigade feel today?..... not all their fault, but they were warned....Ashleys appointments are routinely useless.

Why do you feel the need to tell people how to react to this?... -

So we've all to think the same way as you do?...is your social circle a bunch of fuckin cybermen or something? And as for growing up, what is more childish than watching what is essentially a little boys game anyway? should manu fans "grow up" too? I get pleasure from the people I go to games with, I only ever see most of them at football, and am fucked if I'm going to chuck away 20-30 years of friendship because of people like you think its the right thing to do or cunts like Mike Ashley. The football side of it can be a bit of an irrelevance, sorry if you got no joy from just the experience of giving your support to the players on the pitch. I do, always have done and continue to do so. What anyone else does is their business though. Something you'd do well not to lose sight of. -

When was the last season you went regularly to SJP, seeing as you conveniently live around 150 miles away somewhere in the Glasgow area, if am not mistaken?...its a piece of piss to post that if you cut your emotional ties for the sake of your career years ago, its fuckin difficult to do if the ground is virtually at the end of your street and you've gone since you were a bairn. -

Think I started this process a little while ago, and it wasn't entirely to do with Ashley, just a combination of work, the missus, just the way things have gone...this could be the final nail in the coffin mind...went to the grand total of 2 home games last season, feel it may well be less this time round. Away games are so diluted from the exuberance of the past but they put a regular round trip of around 750 miles into a cocked hat. Will probably go when am up seeing the folks though, but I used to make sure that happened when we were at home. For me, I still have this urge to support the 11 shirts on the pitch somehow. Am fucked if he's taking that away from me completely. -
The absolute best we can hope for is that Pardew was asked to walk last month and refused. They've got somone lined up but need to save face as they got Pardew to sign an 8 year deal less than 12 months ago. Enter their old mucker today, Pardew (has there been any quotes from him yet?) walks as he knew fuck all about Kinnear, new man comes in, Kinnear slides off at Christmas. Anything else doesn't bare thinking about.
-
I agree, and refer you to my previous answer. Pardew would put up with it. But they appointed Kinnear As you say, Carr has been doing this role "de facto" for two or three years.
-
Has Carr been overstepping his role anyway?....is this an attempt to "reign him in".... to stop him from being pretty good at his job?
-
Because foreign managers at foreign clubs tend to report to directors of football. Its been tried in this country with err "mixed" results...
-
Style of football This is the man who gave that player renowned for his elegance and verve Mick Harford the last top division games of his career. He paid 7 million for John Hartson in the mid nineties ffs. Style. He couldn't spell the fuckin word.
-
Not with British managers it doesn't. To be fair with someone as weak willed and compliant as Pardew they have a chance. Then you look at who they have actually appointed Its a thing from the continent, for continentals iyam.
-
Think about who's first in line if we're in the bottom 3 at Christmas
-
What sort of thought process gets to the conclusion that what went wrong last season can be resolved by appointing a Director of Football? ......I suppose though, if you've decided that's what was wrong all along, its only a short step to coming up with Joe Kinnear. What the fuck is a DoF supposed to do at Ashley's NUFC?....Carr scouts, shows Pardew a youtube clip and Dekka does the deal. Where does Kinnear fit in there?..making the fuckin tea?....

Not as bizarre as Liambias putting it around that we are now "debt free", when the entire interest free debt sits with the parent company that Ashley set up to buy the club in the first place. They fuckin spin everything. As you appear to as well, why have you put "evil intentions" in quotes? who are you quoting? no one in this thread as far as I can make out. Am not suggesting for a minute that you or anyone else have fallen for what they dish out, but lying is as natural as breathing to these fuckers. Doesn't make them evil in any way, but why do they think we're stupid enough to fall for this sort of shit? That's what undoes any single bit of good they do. And there have been some good things. But, when all is said and done, they hold us in utter contempt. If it doesn't bother you fine. Don't find it strange if others are less lenient though. -
Yeah, watching the whole 5 days at the Riverside is for corporates and gentry only it would seem. If you paid that and got lucky with the weather its probably better value than watching Arsenal v Wigan at the Emirates at £50+ for 90 mins though

Speak to Ant, he banned most of the previous occupants of those roles Oh and since Stevie is on here only when Halleys Comet comes round can we have a "pathologically passionate uber Geordie, OOT's need not apply" at number 11 please?

That book is known in some parts as "The Leazes Mag Bible" and like all fundamentalists he took the one thing he agreed with in it i.e. "the teams who spend the most are almost always the most successful" and repeatedly repeated it until it drove him mad The bit they've quoted in the blog is by far the most interesting thing in the book and indeed is very relevant to where we are as a club. You'll find out about number 10 if we sell Cabaye this summer and Vurnon Anita plays 30 odd games next season
