Newcastle ban all press (unless they pay).
PaddockLad replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
I knew it was all going a tiny bit too well....wonder if the print media will tell the club to fuck off in general? i.e. stop turning up for press conferences etc? wouldn't blame them tbh. I don't have a lot of respect for individual journalists but the press are almost unpaid promoters of any club's brand and if you put that relationship in peril you'll stand to lose a lot more than you'll gain, which is fuck all in the first place. Wonder if Joe had any input? " I'd faackin charge the faackin caants if I were you Mike...." -
Annual obligatory it's f*cking freezing thread
PaddockLad replied to Zathras's topic in General Chat
Am guessing Zathras is on the coast, somewhere like Seahouses?.... -
No, but 6 years after northern rock the economy is still pretty much flatlining, after an encouraging spell around 2009. We then had an election.

Sounds like the premise of a sitcom: "geordie Alf Garnett gets job as scroungers' lackey.....with hilarious consequences!!"

Let me put it more broadly, Britain is a rich country accruing many of the stereotypical bad habits of a developing country http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/dec/09/britain-now-developing-country-foodbanks-growth

My sisters husband fucked off to Spain with another bird, then made her and their two daughters technically homeless by demanding they sell the family home. She works full time at the local council offices and got a rented place but the rent is going up yet again, just as the eldest daughter leaves home to go to college later this year, so my sis loses family allowance etc for our Kate, and ex council flat she rents in a quiet non descript market town becomes out of her price range. Looks like she'll maybe have to move in with mum and dad (77 & 78) for a short time at least. Is she in poverty? .....

Well..we get more in every other week than all but manu and arsenal, and manu and Liverpool are the only two with a truly large global pull. I think they concentrate on the teams who win trophies tbh. Or are popular with the media eg spurs. The rest of the clubs are there just to make up the numbers as far as the media are concerned.
-
Naah, not for me. Look whats happened to them now hes stopped doing it. Mid table shite. I understand he bought a miriad of other things to the table but its like Cloughie (two European cups ) said to the Leeds players: "take all the medals and trophies you won and throw them in the bin because you won them all partly by cheating" As for the money they've made to keep them at the very top by exploiting the memory of the folk who died at Munich...this is a good place to start if anyones interested: Have Liverpool made any money out of Hillsbourough you reckon? not to mention the supporters being falsley accused of causing the disaster for a quarter of a century...theres a few fucking very sound reasonns for hating manu iyam..
-
Am not talking about fans though, am talking about how they got a gazillion trophies partially by bullying of officials, with the FA being fully complicit. That's what I hate about manu rather than their fans, glory hunting or otherwise. Liverpool am indifferent about too tbh, depends if you think their message boards are a true reflection of their support, because I give a lift home every night to a ST holding LFC fan and hes a great lad. As we were discussing earlier in the week, I wouldn't want someone to judge us by a lot of the more vocal fuckwits on NO.
-
So you enjoyed and completly accepted Fergie intimidating the officials at OT when we played them last season? Fair enough...some of us think that's actually cheating..

There is now a Willo song, heard it yesterday, fuck knows the words or the tune, Tooj or Tom may know?....whatever, he deserves it

So...err, for those of us without twatter...

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/david-moyes-must-shoulder-blame-2903459 This prick says Manu should have beaten us yesterday even without Rooney....he seems to be suggesting that a midfield of Jones and Cleverly is a better midfield than Tiote and Cabaye.....that'll be right then, it says so in the press, despite all visual evidence to the contrary. The article is a series of one contradiction after another, but Joe Public will lap it up because its in the press. This is how the Manu machine works.

Fergie not in attendance this season to intimidate the officials, the fuckin cunt. Not as big a cunt as the ref, but apparently they had a blatant pen? so it may have evened itself out. Regardless, 41 years and personally 26 since I've witnissed more than a point. Dozens of good things about the team today, hoping we can keep it going. Well done lads, well done Pardew

From the beeb TMs thingy: Carberry and Bell to open, Monty at 3, the rest can pick their numbers out of a hat" Monty showed more halls than the middle order, that's for sure. Some careers on the line here, Prior, Pietersen etc..quite possibly the captain too and as Ken says Flower.

Much against my better judgement, today I accpeted a ticket for this. Not been since we shipped 6 v them the season we went down, on which occasion we thought it was only 3, as we had drunkenly staggered out feeling a bit thirsty with about 15 mins to go, subsequently missing 3 Ronaldo goals and Smith's red card...didnt find out the real score till about half ten that night The other thing I remember is singing "Fergies right, the fans are shite"...think he must have had a little dig at them in the press beforehand but am not sure what he said..

Nelson Mandela will die soon. Today, tomorrow, this week, next week. It won't be long. When he does die, and David Cameron jumps on the Mandela bandwagon, remember that in 1985 he was a top member of the Federation of Conservative Students, which produced the "Hang Mandela" posters. In 1989, Cameron worked in the Tory Policy Unit at Central Office and went on an anti-sanctions fact-finding mission to South Africa with a pro-apartheid lobby firm sponsored by PW Botha. Remember this when he tells the world he was inspired by Madiba. Is there actually any truth in the first bit?....I think Cameron's trip to SA is well documented...

Fuckin hell they're all in that Tooner! Little Steven ended up in The Sopranos, played Tony's advisor... Got to have a bit of this too http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lCZKZILvE70 Even I was still at school when this came out... Nelson running round like a loon in a Springbok jersey after SA won the rugby World Cup always made me smile too RIP.

So paying less to the exchequer is a good thing now? Is this know as the 'Amazon effect"? How many are part time jobs or on zero hours contracts? "Uni for all but the stupidest" was Blairs mantra, no surprise you or Tory party HQ can't see the irony or the pointlessness in providing degrees but no jobs at that level unless the phrase "do you want fries with that?" figures highly. Hope your well mate

Well yeah, I've no problem with this place as the balance is a lot better between assessing an individual game and what patterns can be established over a season or 3. And this place doesn't remind me of "lord of the flies" neither, fuckin NO does.
