  1. We change trains at Clapham Junction for this, any of you Laandhaan based Mags know anywhere near the station that doesn't charge £10 pint?...cheers!
  2. 2001 Arsenal (a) 3-1 (0-1) Premiership O'Brien(60), Shearer(86pen), Robert(90) Pires(20) 38,012 Conceding once but being battered, Ray Parlour's dismissal just before the half-time break gave United some hope. Craig Bellamy then walked for allegedly striking cheat Ashley Cole in the face (later rescinded) before Andy O'Brien equalised. Alan Shearer then converted a penalty and Laurent Robert strode clear to secure United's first capital win for over five years - an amazing night that also saw us top the table. Uri Geller later claimed credit for it all.... NUFC.com match report Top of the league 12 years ago tonight ...where the fuck has that gone?
  3. Could the resident Milan fanboys give us a rundown on what this individual may have been up to?.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25414094
  4. If we were to somehow win the cup this season..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22640095 Is winning half a dozen one off games this season more likely than finishing in the top 6? To win the Europa League after winning the FA cup this season would be pant wettingly good, so we wont... Europa needs to go back to the old UEFA cup format, no seeds & straight knockout, and to have more of the 3/4th placed teams in it to make the early rounds watchable. Thing is the clubs want the guaranteed income that 6 televised games brings them. They cant see that drawing Milan or Marseille in the first few rouds would be fuckin mint for the fans.
  5. Heres a nice party tune from the popular beat combo I'm going to see tonight....hope you and Mrs HF enjoy this edit: only fair if I add the link... http://www.muzu.tv/the-prodigy/smack-my-bitch-up-music-video/87956/
  6. Spot on for me JJ, coaches deserve a certain amount of sympathy as nowadays they often don't get to choose the players they wprk with, but often they do know this before they sign up. Someone may be able to do it mind, Redknapp, whatever we think of him personally, got a huge amount out of the players he inherited from Ramos, and was then allowed to bring his own in.
  7. He's a funny bloke iyam, and that's it. His mannerisms and look appear as if theyre designed to attract a certain type of (desperate?) female. I missed his gig in Bournemouth in October (was up north for the derby :/ ) but a mate was there said some absoloute monster in the audience shouted out that he'd "had" her 6 months beforehand, which apparently was true as 20 mins of the gig was then devoted to them reminiscing about it...my mate said if she was a plant she was a very good one
  8. They got lucky with Redknapp....Levy will be incredibly fortunate to repeat that again. Its really not all AVB's fault, its Baldini who blew all the loot, why he felt the need to do that fuck knows. It would be interesting to have a look at who the agents involved in a lot of their deals were. If it was mostly the same one or two then the spurs fans have been royally stitched.
  9. Anyone see the motd 2 clip of his press conference when he was asked if he was happy with the players signed with the Bale money?.....sounded very much like he didn't have that much of a say in who came in tbh.....this happened before with Spurs when they got another foreign manager with one very good season behind him to coach a new set of players he had little say in recruiting; that time they were in the bottom 3 when Juande Ramos was sacked and they got Redknapp in. Thing is, the DoF Daniel Commoli was fired too for appointing him, so Franco Baldini could now be for the chop too, seeing as he didn't think it would be a problem integrating as many foreign players all at the same time. This is completely against the DoF policy, which is designed to ensure continuity in senior management at the club and to make sure the man with ultimate responsibility for spending large amounts of the clubs money is doing it in a careful and responsible manner. Looks like Levy isn't learning from his mistakes....
  10. Peter O'Toole....he was drunk, as a rule.... Lawrence of Arabia is a great film, don't think he got near anything as good after that, which was maybe why he drank so much...
  11. "its a conspiracy" 5... if he thinks the press were hard on him before...soft as shite...
  12. I've always found comments like "ooh I hate Paul Merson on sky sports" to be among the more serious matters for debate on here myself....
  13. Its two different things...fuck knows why all the ex lfc players get these pundint gigs, but nothing stops them or anyone else in the media and subsequently the public in general from referring to manu as "united"....that's a far bigger issue than who gets to talk banal and inaccurate shit to the nation iyam, regardless of who it is or who they played for they all do it.
  14. Look at all these at Spurs..... Noelie in his prime doing the cheerleading?.... http://www.britishpathe.com/video/football-crowds-scenes/query/newcastle+united
  15. Bollocks. Not a bad game tbh, fair result....
  16. Both carrying knocks apparently...but aye, begs the question..
  17. Looked off to me, then I missed the replay...a ball hair I take it?
  18. Good subs from Southampton, the fuckin twats...
  19. Deano hasn't worked out after just the three years under Pardew that were mostly a counter attacking side. Good work there son, hows the gardening going?...are your begonias coming up a treat this December?
  20. As good a half as we've seen all season....now as Sue Barker is fond of saying, "what happens next?"......
  21. Jack Cork and Steven Davis in for saints....Lallana on bench...should be winning this tbh...damn, hopes now raised, fatal... :/
  22. Didn't look any more than a dead leg for Debuchy last week, he sat on the bench quite happy when he came off. Team is what I'd have gone with
