  1. 48k---->46k---->????????? Theres a perception that hes blew it this time. Not sure that after 08-09 it could be worse than that. Its certainly not iyam. He's still cunt mind.
  2. Not sure if thats actually true. We get what we get, I dont think there are any hard and fast rules as such. We've spent in the previous two January windows, both for completely different reasons.
  3. There may be more than a grain of truth in this They'd be missing the point though. Ultimately its not Kinnear's money and if he'd turned round to Ashley and said "we need four players priced 5-10 million each Mike" it wouldnt have made a blind bit of difference.
  4. Dont know which part of "we've bought a couple of signings from the summer forward" you didnt understand in January tbh Ashley has basically said "this is how we're doing it, suck it up or fuck off". 46k there on Saturday, 2k down on the previous weekend. He'll soon reap what he's sown. Then we could well be stuck with the cunt.
  5. James Pearce ✔ @Pearcesport I'm told Mike Ashley let Cabaye listen to phone negotiations last week + he heard Arsenal say: "25 million a lot for a reserve" #moodchanger 12:10 PM - 2 Sep 2013 259 Retweets 20 favorites Reply
  6. 9.35am BST 'Ozil has chosen to stay at Real Madrid'So says Spanish newspaper Marca, who tend to be on the ball when it comes to life at the Bernabeu. Here's the link to their story (in Spanish), but the gist is that Real's Florentino Perez had agreed a €45m fee with Arsenal, only for Ozil to opt against the move. Unless there is "a sudden change at the last minute" he'll be staying in Spain. Wonder what Arsenal will do now?
  7. 9.24am BST Mezut Ozil newsWell, indirectly. The Newcastle Journal reckon that sources at St James's believe Arsenal have "gone cold" on Yohan Cabaye. They also reckon that Newcastle have turned down the chance to sign Fenerbahce's Moussa Sow.
  8. Dear Drooper.... She says the same as most other folk...criticising players in public is on page one of "things not to do as a football manager".
  9. No need to fret...WKL says we're ace 4) Newcastle may yet thrive without signingsSo far Loïc Rémy, borrowed on loan from QPR, is Alan Pardew's sole recruit. Joe Kinnear clearly isn't quite the director of football he thinks he is but even so, providing Yohan Cabaye stays or is adequately replaced (admittedly a big caveat), Newcastle look strong enough to confound the doubters. During last season's relegation travails they were missing the injured Hatem Ben Arfa – now fit, and the matchwinner against Fulham – and the personally troubled Fabricio Coloccini, who is back playing well at centre-half and captaining the side. Moreover, Pardew's five recruits from France last January are now bedding in properly, with Moussa Sissoko looking a particularly good buy. They still possess the excellent Tim Krul in goal and Davide Santon at left-back. And Rémy's outstanding pace and attacking movement promise great things. All is far from lost for Newcastle – and Pardew. Who is to say that, contrary to received wisdom, he will not outlast Kinnear at St James' Park? Do not bet against it. Louise Taylor
  10. So Real are selling Ozil, Di Maria and possibly Benzema to finance the Bale deal?.... the world finally went mad some time ago iyam, but this has pretty much put it in an institution... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/arsenal/10279629/Arsenal-manager-Arsene-Wenger-to-bid-80-million-for-Mesut-Ozil-Angel-di-Maria-and-Abel-Hernandez.html Bale to Real seems to be the key to loads of moves coming off today. Not that its going to affect us :|
  11. Just looking at this thing this morning...its not 16gb its 32gb! I take it the best way to go with the sim card is gifgaff?....
  12. Can anyone tell me the difference between an ipad 2 and an ipad 3? Had a bit of a result this morning...took up with this accountancy firm recently http://www.brookson.co.uk/recommend-a-friend/ and have taken advantage of their offer of a free 16gb ipad mini for recommending a friend. I fancied a full ipad with 3g, so I was going to put it on ebay or gumtree and pay the difference, until a mate at work suggested I take it to John Lewis to see if theyd give me full price for the mini and I'd pay the difference for an ipad2. So we trundles up to the local JL this morning thinking that theyd never go for it...which tbf, the bloke was very dubious indeed, but he said "let me see if I've got what you want"...so he comes back and said "no ipad 2, but I've got the last ipad 3 in the shop and its been reduced, lets have a see if your mini scans" The ipad 3 was reduced to £404, the full price of the ipad2 would have been £414....the ipad mini sailed through the scanner @ £269, giving me an ipad3 "with cellular" for £135 Were the ipad3's a short lived thing till the retina display ones came out?....would be interested to know...
  13. Could this piece in todays journal be termed an uncharacteristic a attack on NUFC?.... http://www.thejournal.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/tarnishing-newcastle-uniteds-reputation-sad-5821252
  14. Bruckheimer's on the line CT....he says make sure you bring the mutt....
  15. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/yohan-cabaye-transfer-didier-deschamps-5816371 Deschamps says that clubs have all the power when it comes to a power struggle Silly fucker should just keep his neb out. If Arsenal arent willing to increase the fee then theres not a lot that can be done. Other targets are being reported, dunno if this is just to make NUFC think they might lose out on a fee completlely.
  16. So if we disagree on a players abitlity we're stupid? They all need time, thats what most of us agree on. The one whos had the most is Santon, and for me hes iffy to say the least. Pardew obviuosly doesnt help. The other one is Debuchy, theres no doubt about it that he was over hyped by some on here. An international standard fullback should show better than what hes done up to now. The others a plainly very talented indeed, Mbiwa included. More good games than bad.
  17. Ok, I'll try again. Look at what you said about the players in the "genius" thread and compare it to what youve just posted. That is the dictionary definition of falling for someone else's overblown and ill formed opinions. Better to wait and judge ratther than rushing in like a hormonal teenager, pledgeing undying love. Like you did with shine. That, though, is seemingly both a love that shouldnt speak its name and also one that refuses to die . For some unfathomable reason
  18. Labour blocked it yesterday, said the only thing theyd support is full UN security council agreement on use of force and to wait until the UN observers have delivered their report. If it fingers Assad the Russians and Chinese will veto any use of force. The whole thing is hugely complicated, no one wants to arm the rebels as theyve been infiltrated by jihadists, we'd ending up arming another Bin Laden. Am all for doing nowt; its basically a war between Shias and Sunnis and frankly fuck all to do with anyone else. the trouble with That is all Syria's neighbours, Russia and the US are all pretty much involved. All I'd call for is more cash for NGO's helping the victims and refugees.
  19. I think some on here did over hype some of the January signings...twatting Chelsea didnt help perceptions either..but you and only you are responsible for falling for said hype, see the "Mike Ashley- Football Genius" thread for evidence.
  20. Not until I'd posted a response to what your thoughts were re politicans, no. Looks like we were typing at the same time. And you appear to be agreeing with our leaders that chemical weapons are a different case to convential. You may differ with the politicians on what to do about it, but I ddint mention that in my post either.
  21. So if you're ex services you obviously understand that you do the politicians bidding. Or were you only on latrine duty at Catterick? Fwiw, you and the politicans seem to be singing from the same hymn sheet. Chemical weapons deliberately tagreting civillians appears to be where they draw the line.
  22. Spurs finished 4th, we finished 5th. How that equates to finishing above them I'll let you explain We did finish above Chelsea and Liverppol though.
  23. I think Pardew has already said we're playing 442...you're right, Cisse cant play unless hes up there on his own...but Remy & Ba may be able to..fuck knows anyway, it'll be whoevers fit..
  24. Yeah but they come under the headings "conventional weapons" and "collateral damage". That can be bullshitted away by foreign governments by saying that these are the unfortunate consequences of any war. I understand a grieveing mother wouldnt give two hoots about how their child dies, but targetting civillians with poisonous gas is where the West seemingly draws the line. Its all a calculation.
  25. Chelsea triggered Ba's release clause last January, they offered him a contract on the back of it. The manager has changed, now if they bring in Rooney he's 4th choice at best. World Cup at the end of the season. Common sense by all parties iyam. Sign the fucker up.
