Obama once again showing America is Israel's lapdog.
PaddockLad replied to Park Life's topic in General Chat
Youre options would be largely irrlevant if the US hung Israel out to dry...wouldnt need to be permenant, but just enough to get them to give a bit too... -
Youd imagine so, but theyre selling three quarters of last seasons first XI...sounds like hes been sold a wopper tbh...

This may sound beyond flippant, but seeing as Gaza is one of the most densely populated areas on the planet it strikes me as fairly difficult to site a missile launcher away from women & children. The IRA built bombs in among their own people in the 1970s, but they deliberatey targetted certain groups and didnt just fire them into the Shankhill willy-nilly. -
Blade is the only decent movie from a comic strip. Does V for Vendetta count?....I dont think I've seen a decent one in over a decade tbh...maybe an age thing...

Hamas are terrorists, but that's because the Palestinian population who voted them in are an oppressed people. They hate Israel, but who can really blame them? If The US pulled the funding for the defence of Israel, then the Israelis would be at the negotiating table with a solid two state plan quicker than you can say "shalom". You've got to forget the past though (see South Africa and Northern Ireland for recent examples of how far that can get you) but I very much doubt if Israel is ready to do that as we stand. -
Some mates are going but only on the Sunday, they're at Bochum on Friday night and another fritz 2nd division game on the Saturday afternoon. Sounds a fuckin belter, but my missus booked her holidays in January before this was announced....again....

Just awful. Condolences to his family and all who knew him.

John "The Undertaker" Alder & Liam Sweeney RIP
PaddockLad replied to Gene_Clark's topic in Newcastle Forum
We knew we were in the right place in Palermo when our taxi nearly run the undertaker over in the middle of a thunder storm Can't say I.knew him terribly well, but as a football supporter he was an absolute one off, never met anyone else like him in my life. He'd missed one game since 1973. Rest in peace lads, thoughts with both families. -
Errrrr......has he signed then?.....

There you go again You've got to admit, you're very PC. Of all the horrific things going on in the world you pick on small local dispute to get very aereated about. Fair enough, but it just seems very small beer in the big scheme of things.
-
Doubt it. You know what would have happened if Ajax had asked for more money, we'd have walked away and gone back in January and Ryan Taylor wouldve started the season.
-
you're so "right on" I can scarcely beleive it sometimes why do you honestly give a flying fuck about either side in this?

Remy Cabella - signs from Montpellier
PaddockLad replied to Monroe Transfer's topic in Newcastle Forum
It just shows the folly in not sacking him in May though . There's a lot of clubs use a variation on the theme that Ashley has hit upon I.e. The players are bought in for the club by others, the coach has got to make it work, or he's out. What makes Ashley think Pardew will do better with half a dozen new players I haven't got a clue. Hoping to be proved wrong like.... -
Remy Cabella - signs from Montpellier

From his YouTube stuff he appears to be comfortable on his left and his right, so that's going to confuse the fuck out of Pardew for a start. A Ben Arfa who can properly play on both sides for 12milllion?...sounds good..... -
Moussa Sissoko signs for Spurs for like £30m or WatEVA
PaddockLad replied to Park Life's topic in Newcastle Forum
Didier also played Cabaye where most on here said he was wasted for us We dont play a posession game, we mostly play on the counter. Sissomko's good at that, getting the ball further up the pitch and beating his marker. He tries to find space down the right flank/channel to receive it in. He's not someone you could play in a 2 sitting in or in the centre of a 3 because his first touch and distribution arent good enough.- 1745 replies

His passing isnt good enough for central midfield iyam. Thats why Pardew sticks him out wide as far as I can make out.- 1745 replies

Hes a journo, not a politician though. And I doubt that "Red Ed" is happy about the public service unions standing up for themselves.
