  1. The UK has run its course iyam. The post war consensus and the glue in society that held us together was done away with, ironically, by the tories in the 80s. That doesn't mean that the corporate world won't squash an independant Scotland like a fly.
  2. The yessers by the very nature of the issue have been the positive ones and there is more than likely a majority who wants to beleive them. The no could only ever be negative, but they're now letting Scotland raise their own taxes and keep the Barnett formula, But we all keep the union jack....for the moment...
  3. What a coincidence though, someone who shares your bitter prejudices, from Scotland, in your cab the week of the referendum
  4. agree with a lot of this, especially about those with a young family like my 40something brother and sister and cousins, all of whom have school aged children and all of whom work (some with two jobs) and most of whom are voting yes. My sisters still undecided this morning, but will vote no I reckon.
  5. I don't beleive you CT, I think you're lying.
  6. Sounds like the media may have known what was going on...last bit of this article says as much... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/newcastle-winger-jonas-gutierrez-reveals-4272042
  7. If true, this may go some way to explain why the players have appeared as if they'd rather be poked in the eye with a fork than put a black and white shirt on. Jonas went to Norwich on January 13th, after making one league appearance and one place on the bench since the start of the season.
  8. You'd be hard pressed to tell I was English by talking to me Never heard that stat either. Wonder why?
  9. You're right they're completely different situations. The point is your "fuckwits" over the water are a bit more extreme than anyone thinking of voting yes in Scotland on Thursday and it's a bit rich for someone from Ulster to describe them as such. If it's yes the sky probably won't fall in, and if it does they're willing to take the chance. Stop showing off because you couldn't find anything more interesting to do with your life than fuckin accountancy
  10. That's what we call democracy though And if you want to drag me into sweepingly general comparisons you lot in spud land have only just stopped shooting and bombing each other to get your own way so you've no room to judge another groups wishes or desires, or how they achieve them.
  11. Agreed. What a shower of fuckin shithouses they are. Get well soon Jonas.
  12. http://m.tn.com.ar/deportes/esencial/la-lucha-de-jonas-gutierrez-me-extirparon-el-testiculo-izquierdo-porque-me-detectaron-un-cancer_531981
  13. Just read something about him having testicular cancer. The articles in Spanish on the TF Facebook page
  14. No mention of economics from George Monbiot http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/sep/16/media-shafted-people-scotland-journalists
  15. The whole corporate world don't want Scottish independence.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2757510/Scottish-independence-expensive-mistake-says-economist-Alan-Greenspan.html Anyone want to say why they think it's deeply unpopular with people who really control things?
  16. We did the double over Cardiff last season, I was at the away game and even we didnt need to try, they looked like us at Southampton. If Mckay was getting results he'd not have been sacked.
  17. How much would 500 iron on patches with that on cost I wonder?....
  18. Lets see; he'd never get a job as big as this under any other owner,Cardiff were abysmal under him, he's tainted goods as far as most players would think and would owe whoever took him on a huge debt of gratitude, meaning he'll be a lame duck yes man throughout his tenure. Perfect for Ashley
  19. Anthonys a one off like, never knowingly out (fuck)witted He's got his own agency now, his office used to be in a fancy dress shop. I drunkenly informed him earlier this year that this is quite appropriate as he's a fuckin clown
  20. I'll see ewerk's chocolate bar thief and raise him this character who I have shared a pint with on several occasions... http://www.globaledge.co.uk/news/agent-who-viewed-porn-loses-legal-case-36943
  21. They've looked finished as a motivated group of professionals since January. Pardew has admitted this. Half a dozen new faces have failed to produce any difference. If Ashley doesn't sack him in the next 10 days it'll cost him a lot more come January.
  22. 2 things Carragher gets right, the players don't give a fuck, bit that comes from the very top rather than just Pardew on his own and now seems endemic at the club, and did we recruit in line with a club of our size with our fanbase?...hah...
  23. Pardew NOT totally to blame, allegedly.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2757154/Newcastle-s-players-disgrace-says-Sky-pundit-Jamie-Carragher.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490
  24. The vote is going to change a lot of things in the medium term I think. Within a decade I think Westminster will be almost exclusively an English parliament. Whether it's still in the EU is a bigger question. I think a "yes" on Thursday guarantees a lurch to the right in England and whoever is in charge of the Tories next year having to promise a vote on coming out as Cameron has mentioned, then apparently went back on.
