  1. 10lb?? Ooya fucker! Congrats Mr & Mrs gloom
  2. Maybe Cameron wants to avoid taliking about doubling the national debt whilst trotting out a huge program of cuts and austerity.. http://info.moneyweek.com/urgent-bulletins/the-end-of-britain/?infinity=gaw%7EThe+End+of+Britain%2BUK%2BENG%2BINTRT%2BDISPL%7EBusiness+News%2BIMG%7E42516760629%7Eatrueindependentscotland.com%7Ec&code2_EI&gclid=CLmr6ILtlMQCFWvkwgod0WsAmA&mobile=1 Not sure how completely accurate all their figures are but I think the narrative is spot on. It would be nice to think that exposing this rank hypocrisy would sweep Labour into power but I don't think the cuts affect enough people in enough of the key seats in England. Yes, Labour left huge debts but they didn't pretend to do anything but spend. I worked on some great schemes back then, local dialysis units, new emergency service hubs etc. They were mostly pfi financed which is obviously a bad thing in the long term but these things all improved peoples lives and if the enormous tax haven known as the city of London paid their fair share it would all be eminently fuckin affordable too.
  3. For all of us bemoaning Ashley, Carver, pigshit-thick ex players reffing games from the touchline via a tv monitor and basically modern football in general.... http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/european/terminallyill-club-brugge-fan-lorenzo-schoonbaert-delays-euthanasia-appointment-to-see-his-beloved-football-club-win-one-last-time-10087415.html
  4. I remember last time "I agree with Nick"....anyone agree with the fucker this time round?... A complete and utter waste of time.
  5. She's found some yank site where you can download individual books for nowt along with the listening software.....so she's taking as much notice of your advice as she does mine
  6. Would've been harsh...poor wee Ayoze bullied off the ball by Rooney....last minute winner for Manu, Owen sounds fuckin delighted
  7. Can anyone recommend a good app for audio books?...after our recent house move the present Mrs PL is now commuting via bus and fancies listenting to some "siterature"....
  8. West Ham lad said the same to me the other day Carroll and Nolan were injured at the start of the season so downing was played in behind another striker (name escapes me) and the football was good to watch and results encouraging. Carroll and Nolan return to fitness they're both straight back in, Downing is shifted out wide and we know the rest. That's why the hammers lads all want him out after they got twatted in the cup. Nothing will change as long as he's there, but it also looks like Allardyce isn't getting a new contract anyway??
  9. Beats me why if there's a load of cash swimming around how a vulture like Ashley was allowed to get as much as a foothold in the first place. King gave 20 million to Murray and that company was liquidated which, as far as I can make out, should prevent him running a club within 5 years according to fit and proper rules. I don't blame him for not throwing good money after bad, but if it would have kept Ashley firmly out why didn't he do it around 2013ish?...
  10. Well no, but they've all been around since and in some cases before the Craig Whyte days and they haven't been able to muster any funds whstsoever during that time. And tbf it's "Rangers people" that got you lot into trouble in the first place...
  11. I can understand why you Rangers supporters object to Ashley. What I don't understand is the widespread optimism about the penniless chancers a.k.a. "Rangers people" who are in line to take over the running of the club. They really dint appear to have a brass farthing to rub together between them. Is another liquidation likely sooner rather than later should Ashley start to play really dirty?
  12. You forgot to mention the cover of "Abbey Road"
  13. "aah...the band The Beatles could have been" #Partridge
  14. Surprised no one's mentioned west ham conceading 3 from set peices v palace on Saturday
  15. 'Businessmen of no apperent wealth rent venerable yet abhorrently bigoted sporting institution from venal, meglamaniac billionaire with a vulture complex " http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/rangers/11443457/.html 6 months till the next liquidation when Ashley will really make the fuckers pay....
  16. There's 51k at the ground. Is this another entry in Ants "I GIVE MUCH LESS OF A FUCK THAN ANY OF YOU LOT" contest?
  17. I cant this phones wank...try and send me one?...
  18. Champion: " the most featureless and disappointing half of football I've seen this season" Clarke Carlisle on co duties: "dire" Not missing much then
  19. 6 goals in his last 9 premier league starts for Papiss according to John Champion via "rock n roll football" on absoloute radio....Sat in our local kwikfit, about to be relieved of of £600 for 4 new tyres and front discs and pads
  20. Hes apparently thinking about "saving" Leeds United from eternal pointlessness.....he's done well with South Sydney tbf but I think there had been some supporters getting uppity about increased ticket prices but thats probably melted away in the last year or so now theyve started winning trophies...
  21. I think nationalisation of industries and utilities was in a way a thank you to the generaration who put a stop to Nazism. They certainly deserved what used to be called the "post war certainties" and the near full employment that came with them. We'd never had it before and when those who had voted Labour in immediately after the war, giving birth to our greatest institution the NHS in the process, started retiring they sold the whole fuckin lot off. Now they're almost all gone the suits are going to complete the job and do the same to the NHS. History might judge the mid to late 20th century way of doing things with a fair amount of astonishment.
  22. Weeeellllllll........this gadge has allegedly got a lot more right than wrong about Rangers in the last 18 months....... http://www.philmacgiollabhain.ie/long-term-planning/#more-5909
