  1. If you want to see it in the narrow terms of three maybe 4 films thats fine, it doesnt change the fact that the Breakfast Club is as weak as piss, as I told that Penny Oliphant at the time, and consequently I was seen as cool and edgy by my peer group. The rumour that I'd been disparaging about her taste in films only after she'd spurned my amorous advances was completely untrue
  2. Lost Boys is the last brat pack film iyam, Sutherland passing the torch on to Winter and Jason Patric....you don't need the whole ensemble to be associated with the err "genre" ...Ferris Bueller is in the same sort of vein, Grosse Point Blank.....I could go on...am not having fuckin Judd Nelson in the brat pack anyway...poodle haired cock rocker by nature...
  3. Breakfast Club is the sunderland of Brat Pack films.....all the rest are much better, especially Lost Boys
  4. Have you been on it yet and not mentioned it on here?...200 club?...
  5. A young Borat there modelling the excellent club knitwear range....must have been some 80s student exchange thing...
  6. I was 18 and dodging glasses thrown over a glass partition in a shitty bar outside Goodison thats been pulled down now...happy days
  7. Heres their first game together...old Lurch is picking the ball out of the net after less then a minute https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeGmSl4DMz8 My good self and a young @@Howmanheyman present in the away end....
  8. Leeds was insane. One of my favourite matches under Sir Bob. It's was either Sofia or Belgrade where the taxi drivers had pistols tucked into their belts?
  9. 29 days between the next two home games....release the figures early next week and there's nearly a month for "anger" to dissapate before spurs roll into town on the 19th April...
  10. No English side in the last 8 for the second time in 3 years....our top sides are falling behind compared with the elite from other countries despite being richer than god...
  11. The point is both our leading and run of the mill clubs are, despite being the richest on the planet, well behind other countries elites and mostly have been for the past decade in the case of the likes of Manu and Chelsea etc and our shite is as shite ad their shite. What's Elches playing budget compared with Hull's?
  12. So you're suggesting that the EU policy of free movement is being exploited more in the UK than anywhere else?....Is there a chance that's because the recruitment of skilled/semi skilled and non skilled manual labour had been handed on a plate to organised gangmasters in the shape of employment agencies a good decade and a half before Labour let the Poles in? My point is the conditions for the present situation were already in place and were nothing to do with the EU so the inherent casualisation of the labour force in the first place has had a greater effect than freedom of movement iyam.
  13. well it's a bit chicken and egg then isn't it? We wouldn't have all these foreigners beating our doors down for jobs without hugely pliant labour laws in the first place and they're fuck all to do with the EU. Free movement into a market that is completely de regulated in the first place.
  14. Not as much as the last two decades spent casualising huge swathes of the workforce in general iyam.
  15. Why's it taken the cunt 26 years to admit it?
  16. The premier league is becoming more and more a PR driven sham. French clubs have put two of our "top" sides out of the champions league in the last week. Not Spanish or Germans. English clubs have won it twice in a decade, both times on pens and one of them was an all English final . We've got all the money but little of the know how. Sky can say what they like, but the facts a glaring and don't lie.
  17. Ed Milliband stopped us arming Isis. Is that anti islamic enough for you?
  18. Make your mind up mate, you've just told us your big thing is coming out the EU. If it is, vote for Dave. Am sorry for patronising the fuck out of you here like but it seems like your yet to learn that life in general is blatantly unfair to one degree or other for the vast majority of blameless individuals all over the planet and no amount of votes or elections will change a bloody thing. Join the rest of us just be happy you don't live in fuckin Syria.
  19. Refusing to vote for the only party who have in their manifesto the ability to deliver exactly what you want
  20. I bet Podolski and Klose's families didn't have any bother with that shite though
  21. Was he running his contract down to leave on a free?...that begs the question was he offered a new one and was he stalling on signing it? Did his gf's Twitter rant sort of indicate that he hadn't been offered anything and was being forced out? Got to say he remained a pretty unconvincing defender for me. I don't know what coaches throughout his career have seen in him on the left. His display in last season's derby was as a bad a fullback performance as I can remember.
  22. Isn't that ludicrously simplistic though? I understand that a lot of the electorate do see things in a very black and white way and neither know or care too much that they're being manipulated by a fuckin charlatan, but voting for basically a single issue party isn't a great idea whatever their issue is. Coming out of the EU is shutting the door a decade after the horse bolted and will do nothing to stop Moslems coming from the sub continent anyway. You make good points but I think there are forces in the world which we're not party to which drive globalisation and multiculturalism and we can frankly do fuck all about them iyam. Thatcher started to sell our democracy to the corporates in the early 80s and no ones stopped it since then because no one in power really has had the motivation to do so. Am not a paranoid conspiracy theorist nutter but Its pretty plain iyam that there's a group of people who have made immigration ridiculously easy in this country for their own ends, sadly though to think Farage can be a conduit to begin to attempt to sort the whole sorry mess out is laughable. There's little that can be done regardless of what he tells the easily lead.
  23. I expect he'll like this too....it's a doozy http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/generalelection/nigel-farage-will-quit-as-ukip-leader-if-he-fails-to-win-a-seat-at-general-election-10109927.html
  24. Don't think cloggie sicknite is back till pre season. I dont for a minute think we're in proper danger of the drop like but yesterday is the shape of things to come. As it was post January last season. It's tragic. A fish rots from the head down.
