Mourinho tried to sign Gerrard at 3 different clubs and he certainly thought he could play him and Lampard together. I actually agree, he couldve probably pulled it off and it's more a reflection on the ability of the various England coaches who tried and pretty much failed. Lampards introduction to tournament football at Euro 2006 effectively pushed Scholes into early retirement. It wouldve been interesting how a decent coach would have done with the three of them.

The (surprisingly accurate and articulate) opposition view.. http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/news/38654/? Anyone know if this is true? Three, because Newcastle, like no other place in the UK, is a city with football at the heart of everything. You can literally, physically see it because St James’ Park stands on top of the highest hill, dead in the centre of the city, towering over everything else, visible from wherever you are within 20 miles. I’ve compared it to a cathedral, calling its church together once a week for a common cause and belief. If you go in the actual cathedral in Newcastle, an altogether less impressive structure near the railway station, you’ll find, on the mantelpiece in the coffee shop, a picture of Kevin Keegan making his Newcastle debut (against QPR) rather than one of Jesus. Go and see for yourself.

Clarkie isnt on the list....theres two more, one defender, one striker, Sven capped the defender, Graham Taylor capped the striker...

Out of 92 clubs across the top four divisions only four of them have a manager who played for England.....in your own time, carry on.....

Its not like Ed was hamstrung by the unions...UNITE and UNISON basically got him in but his relationship with them was a bit fraught after that. The tories benefitted from it hugely by the wrong man being chosed though. The problem is with the Labour Party rules, not the UK electorate in general. In any case the rules changed last year due to the Falkirk carry on: http://www.newstatesman.com/politics/2015/05/how-will-labour-leadership-election-work http://privatewww.essex.ac.uk/~tquinn/leadership_election_rules.htm As a UNITE member myself I dont pay a contribution to Labour but I think I get the offer to become an affiliated member for the purposes of the leadership election. Burnham for me

One of my favouirite schoolboy jokes...Woman goes to doctor, says "Doctor, theres something wrong with my aviaries!!" Doc says "aviaries?..dont you mean ovaries??"..."no, its definetly my aviaries" she replies....doc says "ok, pop you clothes off, lie on the couch and we'll take a look for you..." So the woman assumes the position and the doc bends down to take a look...."Goodness me, it is your aviaries" he exclaims..."theres been a cockatoo up there..." "I'm here all week"

So Cameron saved the union just to knife Labour?..... "ah hae ma doots"... Holyrood elections next year, but a vote to allow another referendum after the "once in a lifetime" gig last year still has to go through Westminster.... I really don't know what the Tories have in store for for Scotland in the next 5 years but I don't think he wants to see the end of the union...just yet anyway.....

New Labour overlords quick to knife Milliband... Miliband made 'terrible mistake' in ditching New Labour, says Mandelson http://gu.com/p/489ax It's the mark of an ocean going cunt to kick a man when he's down...

Didn't know till Friday that I've met his mother a few times and know his uncles well, one of them was my techie drawing teacher, who was also a close friend of my late uncle. All his mum's side of his family are from the same village as my old mans family. He was knocking on doors there at Easter when I was up visiting, think he's turned my English mother native
