  1. I was at both the games where we got twatted 4 nowt by these, this sounds much the same Nothing's changed at NUFC since those games. We're going down this season because most other clubs have got slightly better.
  2. Are the Brexit brigade on the back benches not lining up to stab the fucker?...if not what he bought them off with?...
  3. that's the sort of pedantry that pub quiz legends are made of
  4. Why is it a trick question?....I got 45, should've got a few more...
  5. Can you describe the taste of the last peroni you had?... There is a lot of pretention in the craft game, the biggest tossers I've come across are the two monumentally smug bastards who run brew dog. But there is something you can taste in everything that comes out of that market, that's why I drink ale, it tastes of something. Some of the best beers are mass produced, Goose Island is brewed ultimately by InBev, and a lot of the obscure end can be un drinkable, but for me it's better than tasteless pale coloured gassy bubbles. Nowt to do with being an elitist or falling for any marketing gimmick or local economy enhancing notions. Taste is king
  6. American ipa (which pretty much kicked off the whole "craft" gig) is generally burnt amber-ish, but most pale ales made by the likes of Youngers and McEwans in the UK were pretty much the same colour as traditional bitter by the 70s and 80s, they were similar to "mild" as its called in some parts of England. What was called "light ale" was a lighter colour, but was pretty much seen off by the lager explosion in the early 70s. Yes, the anorak is on
  7. In 2016? That's an achievement. Lunchtime drinking at work was never the same for me after I worked at Aldermaston in 1990...some were doing four bottles of diamond white cider then returning to continue machining nuclear warheads out of solid lumps of plutonium. I realised that I was a fuckin amateur really
  8. Good day that, after you left we went to Raffertys (cider) and Forth (Sierra Nevada)
  9. Am not really what may be described as a "cultist".....but I have had a red ipa, a black ipa and a white ipa...all in the past couple of weeks... For the record, I imagine Fish is great company in the pub but I'd have grave doubts about him getting his round in...has he got a job yet?
  10. And where do you encounter these "craft beer cultists"?....I'd stick to bars that sell only Tennants Lager and 70/- mate....most of those also do antibiotics and methadone from the optics as well as part of a Scottish Government social health initiative
  11. Everyone has a different palate, but mass produced lager doesn't really taste of anything and moderate to large quantities of it (the "gob full of hops"effect) doesn't improve it either. For me it's an utterly pointless drink. Of all the groups and different types of drinkers someone in living in Scotland could have a dig at,you're picking on the craft beer gang? Get tae fuck ya bam...
  12. Biting Ashley's poisoned apple won't kill the supporters or the club though, just as it's not killed Forest, Leeds or Wednesday ( or the formerly similarly insolvent Leicester City) It's illogical and it makes no sense, but going to a football match is a pretty blameless activity and for you to paint the fans as pretty much the villains of the peace here is just as illogical. Apathy to drive change is just as ludicrous to me.
  13. Leicester have won 5 of their last 6 games by a single goal. Shades of Manu in 96? 7 points clear with a month to go. It's 20 years ago almost exactly since the 4-3 at Anfield, after which we started to unravel with no real championship winning experience in the squad bar Pedro. Really hope they don't blow it t from here. We've got a bit of history with their lot in the past (last day of the season 92 springs to mind!) but since then Ive worked with a load of them and they were all pretty sound lads. In some ways it's a bit like the season we finished 5th, but a far more extreme version. We finished above Chelsea,Spurs and Liverpool. Leicester have done miles better than that though. And they spent barely a third part of what we have to get relegated.
  14. You didn't think we needed a left back in January so your opinions on fullbacks in general need to be viewed with some sodium based culinary condiment type stuff
  15. What an astute observation Plainly been to see Snow White and the seven dwarves at Cinderella's castle more often than you've been to see Newcastle anyway
  16. We've gone into the last game of the season twice in the last three seasons staring relegation in the face. This time were effectively seven points adrift with a month to go, requiring a fuckin miracle to escape. This has been coming since the season we finished 5th. The only constant at the club in that time has been Ashley. As HF has pointed out he's not invested anything more than the club has brought in, chiefly through TV money which every other club gets too, and as everyone can see his appointments to this fuckin mythical management "board" are down to him and no one else. Us, Villa and the tramps have been the three worst run clubs for half a decade or so now, only saved previously by cannon fodder promoted clubs. We're getting what Ashley, Lerner and Short's "policies" deserve. Basically all three owners have either distinctly lost interest or didn't give much of a fuck in the first place and had alterior motives for any interest in English premier league football, i.e. In some way lining their own pockets with the obscene amount of money swimming about in the game at the top level in this country.
  17. Does the same go for Forest fans, Sheffield Weds fans and Leeds fans who were/are all at least as badly run as NUFC? Your claim to be in any way a "supporter" of any club is frankly fuckin bizzare. These clubs have had it a lot worse than us but still their attendances hold up pretty well despite all the shit they've had to endure in the last two decades or so. Care to hazard a guess why that is?
  18. More Mason.....this time Port Talbot...birthplace of Richard Burton, Anthony Hopkins, Michael Sheen and thousands of highly skilled steel workers... https://medium.com/mosquito-ridge/steel-crisis-they-do-not-give-a-shit-86516750a1e0#.fzq55i92m

This friend she's not seen in 6 years...who is asking her friend...who's a travel agent...
