  1. You once suggested Kirk Yetholm which was very close…the pub has been bought out by the current villagers, barely any of whom I know, 35 years away 🥺it’s made Border News ☺️ https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1C4SEy6wss/?
  2. Well yeah that to me is pretty much the same thing. Facebook was only widely used on home pc’s initially not on everyone’s phone. That didn’t require a WiFi router in your house but most homes had it by the early-mid 2000s before Facebook appeared in 2007 ish… I know this because I got my first pc in 2005 ish and I was a pretty late adopter mostly because I didn’t really need one and dial up was a gigantic pain in the arse as far as I could make out… basically all my friends had told me “GET YOUR FUCKIN OWN!”
  3. Am sat in the van having a late lunch and that’s just done me in brilliant video, one for my fellow pop crazed youngsters ie @spongebob toonpants @Gemmill @Alex have they done this on chart music?
  4. Blair came in circumstances that will never be repeated again ie pre internet. The country was also in recovery from Thatcher and the recession of the early 90s. He stuck to the fiscal plans of the outgoing Tory government and the country boomed on easy credit both as a country (PFI finance was all borrowed) and individually (self cert and interest only mortgages). All went tits due to the yanks in 2008 and we’ve been in a political and social culture war ever since
  5. No, you get this… “ It was labelled ‘not fit for purpose’ in a digital age and staff revealed the new badge has to work at sizes from 5mm through to the giant images on stadiums. There is also a desire to use embroidered crests rather than ‘patches’ on jerseys. So intricate is the current badge, embroidery has been increasingly difficult from a production perspective in recent years.” https://archive.is/DEATc So I asked my mate (who supplied the scarves for Shearer’s testimonial and somewhere along the line told Freddy Shepherd to fuck off ) about why we’re having to do this…
  6. Prick still thinks he’s doing real estate deals Memo to the Mandarin Mussolini: PUTIN DOESN’T WANT PEACE, HE WANTS CAPITULATION
  7. I happened to listen to PMQs yesterday and Starmer was still banging on about the two state solution. Think than one had gone now Keir tbh Palestinians have been ethnically cleansed from Gaza. Lots of the loudest and most unapologetic pro Israel voices in this country celebrating this. They also tend to be the loudest and most anti Moslem immigration voices too. I wonder what will happen next?
  8. Relax. No fucker is voting for that. Apart from Adam Pearson and Gemmill, obvs
  9. I have no idea what sort of fettle he’s likely to be in after two(?) seasons of bullshit in West London but I always through Dewsbury Hall was a decent player as well as a Tudor mansion in Shropshire
  10. Farage is now effectively Home Secretary
  11. A lot of mine have been lost in the last decade… am just a bemused onlooker now, getting my kicks wherever I can get them 😆
  12. They’re all being a bit soft about this tbh
  13. Don’t use it…. Unless the now semi-permanent Mrs PL issues a memo that I should immediately like one of her “creative journaling” pictures she has posted on there, complete with musical background
  14. That content, for the benefit of the elderly/sensitive/both, is only as we speak on the X app
  15. Hm. Early 20th century imperial conflict geography clearly not a strong point
  16. Yeah the whole point of this sort of job is to create long term football policy and procedures so that you don’t end up being like Man Utd with no long term vision ie sacking every useless bastard they appoint after 18 months and having to pay off all their staff but being lumbered with the eye wateringly expensive useless bastards that they’ve signed….
  17. We’ve just booked to go here, hoping @Meenzer can fit it into his no doubt hectic social schedule ☺️✊🏻 A sophisticated gay scene has developed around Gallipoli, often referred to as “Gay-lipoli”. The city is particularly well known as a destination for the Italian gay population [4] and has become “Italy’s gay summer paradise”.[5] A vibrant nightlife means Gallipoli draws an international gay crowd over the summer months, with visitors also being drawn by the nearby naturist beaches and the popular lidos at Baia Verde. Going in late September so hoping to get a game in at Stadio Ettore to see I Giallorossi 💊
  18. Yeah ours was much the same when the wee fella went. We’ve started having next doors jackapoo overnight, fairly certain we’ll have another hound by the end of the year…
