Man City apparently have agreed to pay 50mill + for Kyle Walker and Mendy from Monaco. 100million for a couple of full backs in one day -

Thing is we'll do well to replace half of them. Can't see us getting rid of Dummet or Colback. Wouldn't complain about ginger but Dummet had a decent season and deserves a chance in the squad. -

Seeing as Martin Hardy has just written a book with Rafa and would appear to be the journo who is closest to him, is this a fairly literal account of Rafas feelings?... http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/newcastle-transfer-news-rafa-benitez-contract-a7837171.html BEDWETTERS RULE OK? -

Gayle was palaces top scorer in the premier league from the bench at the point when they signed Benteke. He'd barely started any games but scored nearly every game he appeared in. He came to us due to the modern fashion for one up front, he knew after Pardew spent millions on benteke he'd be second choice permanently. I think to describe him, in view of this and on the evidence of last season, as a "make do" is blatantly unfair. -

Might be this This is an example of what Carragher was on about, Rafa using the press to get some leaverage. It's a shit state of affairs, maybe caused by this new character Ashley introduced to keep an eye on things. Still no need for panic. Not till Rafa "does a Keegan" on the first of September anyway -

Fuck me man Trooper the world won't stop turning if we don't spend 20 million on a centre half who has barely played a dozen first team games for anyone as some of our competitors are doing. Everyone, for fuck sakes chill the fuck out and let's see what happens. It's almost as if the last 18 months with Rafa count for fuck all this summer. I trust him, I don't trust Ashley and I completely accept that Rafa could have the rug pulled from underneath him by the fatman. But it's unlikely at the moment a month out from the start of the season with Rafa in charge of who comes in with no interfearance and a good track record in the transfer market. We probably won't get everyone we want but when do we ever? All this knicker wetting is fuckin preposterous compared with various relegation scenarios I've experienced over the last near on 40 years so for fucks sakes folks get some perspective, clucking away like a bunch of monochrome chicken lickens scared shitless that the sky will fall in if we don't pay 50 million for a poor mans Pedro is as boring as it is unrealistic.Get a grip for fucks sakes man. -
Yeah he's not played with them for years as far as I know. Taken to suing people who criticise him, dead punk rock that like

Blatant mavkem tbh -
We did the day trip to Mostar from Dubrovnik 4 years ago, good day. Croatia had joined the eu 3 weeks beforehand and there were long queues at the brand new border crossings. No official national checkpoints at any time before including during the war of the 90s. I think folk in the republic/NI are in for a bit of a shock in a couple of years..

Two one club men and a strange fucker who chucked a dozen medals away to play for his home town v a self centred prick who let his contract run down so he could join his club's hated rivals for at the time the biggest pay day in English football is not what captains were made of -

Ryder claiming Rafa had a nibble but was put off by the price tag for a 20 year old without a full premier league season under his belt. If true I don't blame Rafa or Ashley tbh. -

Greetings from Gran Canaria.....if you want to check in with a minimum of fuss and bother on your other half's birthday, then I'd completely avoid booking anything with alpha rooms...the utter shithouses of the first order hadn't sent our booking to the apartment complex so when we turned up there was no trace of our booking, despite me having the confirmation printed off for them and alpha rooms phoning me to remind me to forward flight details for the airport transfer one night a couple if weeks ago at about 10pm The Servatur staff have been brilliant though, got free tv, air con and wifi as consolation for something that wasn't their fault anyway, this after spending the weekend at a completely different complacent miles out of town.

Toon scout Graham Carr scours globe for talent
PaddockLad replied to Tooj's topic in Newcastle Forum
That to me was clearly iffy now we know Carr almost exclusively dealt with players on the books of one French agency. Any semblance of a legacy he may have had at the club after his departure has been completely spoiled by that. You can be sure Ashley was in full knowledge of it and actively encouraged it. Pity he couldn't see it was going tits before Carr was appointed to the "football board" that saw McLaren appointed. -

A fellah I've known through work for over 25 years is a 5th or 6th dan at some semi obscure martial art (name escapes me ATM) When l first met him I was early to mid twenties and me and some other cocky young gobshites used to "play spar" with him at lunchtimes. He used to beat the crap out of us, I think we just did it for the thrill of seeing him wipe the floor with us when two or three of us attacked him at the same time, proper Bruce Lee stuff. He's now in his 60s, and is like a wise old Buddhist monk, which he is sort of qualified to be due to the extent of his studies of all aspects of the religion for his MA. He still teaches womens' self defence, the dirty auld fucker Anyway, he told me something once that has stayed with me. He holds practioners of "the nobel art" in utter contempt, boxers in general are huge figures of fun to him. I asked him about it one day and he said "as soon as any boxer throws a punch he's immediately off balance, and anyone properly trained and with a degree of timing should be able to take them out straight away" just saying

I certainly don't feel sorry for her in any way but the way her colleagues are basically hanging her out to dry and letting her be the lightning conductor for all the nation's woes is very instructive. Her loyalty to those she serves is in a way very impressive, that is if it wasn't verging on Stockholm Syndrome. I think she's going to try to tough it out until early 2019 when she'll deliver a Brexit of sorts. They'll let her do it because no one else is willing to carry the can for the upcoming clusterfuck. She's quite plainly fuckin mad iyam.
