  1. Similarities between us and West Ham....owners from a retail background, players being brought in for the manager by others, 4 million net spend in the last window. Didnt realise that when fat sam left they just didnt renew his contract when it ended, Bilic is in the last year of his and wouldve been gone in May anyway. Moyes is a fuckin hopeless appointment, theyd be better off with Redknapp till the end of the season but he splits opinion with Hammers, he stabbed Billy Bonds in the back to get the WH job in the 90s.
  2. I was sat watching the news this morning and they cut to Trump and he said, and i dont know why I was surprised, " who could have foreseen this happening?"
  3. Hes at a shop window club in the most popular league on the planet. The Pozzos will be wanting to sell him on to a champions league club for tens of millions in the next 18 months. It's working for Watford at the moment but it's unlikely to go their way long term iyam.
  4. Couldnt be arsed with the rest of his fuckin nonsense. But if he's over 18 he's fuckin tragic.
  5. Sounds like you think you're entitled to "follow" a winning football team because you get up early? That's just bizarre
  6. Just singling out the particularly bad bits from one of the worst forum posts I've had the mispleasure of reading since the advent of wireless broadband. The club, in spite of Ashley, is slowly moving forward and you're advocating a twitter onslaught on one of our seemingly grossly overpaid players? I'm not sure if frustration over a poor performance just makes people appear phenomenally fuckin stupid or whether they achieved that state some time ago
  7. Mike Basset tastic "FOUR FOUR FOOKIN TWO"
  8. Aye Napoli have got to go to Doneskt and win, then hope city beat Shakatak in the last game. Far from nailed on... I couldn't stand the thought of watching spurs beating Real in front of 80k+ at Wembley. I respect Pochettino and his players but the whole club remain cunts iiyam
  9. City have basically toyed with a very good Napoli, who have definetly had their moments,. City are just playing keep ball at the moment 2-3. Strangely 2 of city's goals were headers from corners...they just look so fit and keen to keep passing and moving late on in games.
  10. No real regrets....although my mind quite often wanders to the day when my English teacher (also careers/FE advisor for our year) asked me for a word; I'd handed in a couple of essays the week before and she'd marked them..."Robert your work is consistently excellent, I really do advise you to sit Higher English and apply to Edinburgh University, do Eng. Lit. etc etc..." I got an A for my O Grade so it was a distinct possibility, but my only ambition was to earn enough money to got to St James every other week to watch Pedro and Gazza. Which is what I did. I've had a fuckin great life tbh, nothing properly bad has ever happened, but I do wonder what 3 years of state sponsored shagging and drinking at an institution of international renown in the free and easy mid-late 80s would've been like, and how things would've turned out career wise...
  11. He's not resigned just for trying his luck with Julia Hartley Brewer....more to come? Its fairly clear to see the way Westminster works... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-politics-41834699/pmqs-lisa-nandy-warned-theresa-may-about-whips
  12. No one from safc is speaking to the press tonight....if he goes it'll be a shame, but where they'd find someone decent enough to keep them up and would actually even consider taking the job fuck knows
  13. This is a good point....why isnt anybody asking Farage these questions?? https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/oct/28/trump-assange-bannon-farage-bound-together-in-unholy-alliance

  15. Were about as good as anyone else in this division outside the 5/6 usual suspects. I frankly dont know what people think theyre watching when they see Burnley, west brom, southampton, stoke etc etc. Were no better and no worse on a fraction of what theyve spent in the last 5 years. Our work ethic will just about keep us up and thats it. Am complelty in board with it because of Rafa and id say that for me its obvious hes the only thing thats moved the club forward and kept us from the start of the road that the mackems are now 3/4 down. To the whingers id say have some fuckin patience for fucks sakes and stop trying to think we can run before we can walk
  16. What did you make of similar tiny budget Burnley?
  17. I often think having Ashley as owner renders most criticisms of individual Newcastle players pretty fuckin irrelevant tbh

  19. Thought Perez was fouled/mugged in the build up there
  20. He reminds me a bit of peak era Rob Lee. He was a midfielder
  21. I take it your going this time? Got a ticket in our bit?...
  22. The current Mrs PL is making noises about Ibiza for next year, anyone been to the non "clubby" bits? Any recommendations for quiet areas/resorts? Muchos grassland pour flavour etc etc...
  23. There's some fuckin whoppers in the media and on twitter pretending that they know what's going on. Attention seeking click baiting cunts every single one of them. Am saying fuck all till something's been agreed and confirmation of a sale has been made. Then am going to make a judgement on the source of the money. People almost universally praise what's gone on at Man City but I've always thought I wouldn't really want it to happen here. I'm also complelty open to my opinions and principles being bought and sold down the river by winning a lot more premier league football matches than we have done in the past 15 years or so
