The police in this country not being armed per se and the tightest gun control laws in the developed world come from the same starting point in this country iyam.
-
Course the other side of that coin is how many would've died if the terrorists had been armed themselves? Edit: if armed with firearms

Here's a good reason not to vote Tory....

Got a chance of a flight to Gran Canaria at the end of the month for £100, never been there though, looking for recommendations for two 40 somethings with no kids who still enjoy a bit of a lash up.....looking for a resort with a bit of life but not full on teenage rampage tastic...

They're doing Estrella Galicia in our local Waitrose, by far the best Iberian beer iyam... The current Mrs PL has also made herself some mojito...needs a bit of work on presentation, but shes shitfaced on a glass and a half

Its happening in Moslem communities all over Europe, most worryingly in Bosnia Herzogovina where the relative poverty of the Muslim population leaves them extreamly vulnerable to the vast wealth of the Saudi backed hadrassas. I read a horrifying article on it a while back, reckon there's thousands of poor Muslim kids being trained for jihad right on western Europes doorstep.

Sounds like she's considering internment if she's PM on Friday morning. . Playing up to Hokins and her acolytes and the best recruiting tool isis could possibly have....."but at least we'd be doing something"...

After the IRA bombed bishops gate in the CoL in the mid nineties I remember being stopped in my van by armed police at sentry boxes at all main entry points into the city including London Bridge. Obviously I don't know whether this would have made a blind bit of difference to last nights horrifying incident but it may be a start to actually do something instead of waiting around for the next attack. Reports of folk in bars fighting back with glasses and chairs when these fuckers charged in last night. Bit of a cliche to say and possibly inappropriate but for me that's us, that's the spirit of ordinary British folk. In my parents lifetime we've had the blitz and a quarter of a century of the IRA. We're not easily cowed by psychopaths. Not that any of that is any consolation to the victims and anyone connected to them this morning

Yeah it was a bit "red in tooth and claw".. good film I thought though. The film was quite sympathetic to him but yeah, he plainly took his own life, accidentally or not, via a mixture of pig headedness and stupidity. -

Its the only thing I've seen him in tbh. One of the current Mrs PL's favourites though. She often confuses attractiveness with acting ability -

King Arthur legend of the sword.. Some nice ideas and fabby cgi ruined by just about the worst script in the history of cinema, fuck all for Hunnan to act against with that parcel of shit. Jude Law does OK as the evil King, he does good evil. A mate at work loaned me Into the Wild, which completely passed me by at the cinema. Great turn by Emile Hirsch as a college kid who turns his back on society, part road trip, part back to nature type thing, good cameos from Hurt,Keener and Vaughn. -
Who the fuck told her to wait in the shadows till the other bell ends stabbed each other? She's fuckin useless. Corbyn doesn't need to win, he just needs to get enough for a hung parliament to royally fuck the Tories.

Did you go to the disco in the Black Bull?.... last time I was in there there was a punch up which started with a couple of lads but escalated instantly and rather dramatically when every other fucker just turned round and twatted the person stood next to them, all this whilst "we call it acieed" by d mob blasted away in the background, which gives an indication of his long ago it was...the tunes had reached darkest northern Northumberland but I don't think "the love drug" ever did

I think May wanted a Brexit based campaign, but she's woefully misjudged the public mood for 5 weeks of her trotting out empty souless sound bites that are just another echo chamber, only being heard by hardcore Tories. The real turning point was the Tory manifesto launch and the u turn on social care. Then lo and behold Jezza has come up with some attractive policies. He won't win, but the resulting political clusterfuck could well see Teresa out on her arse one way or another, which is precisely what she deserves after basically outing herself as a big a shameless oppurtunist as the likes of Gove and Johnson ...."I DONT WANT BREXIT BUT I WANT TO BE LEADER MORE, WHERE DO I SIGN?!" .......where that would leave Brexit negotiations is anyone's guess
-
Didn't see Brillo pad v Jezza but it would appear that almost unbelievably the Guardian are warming to Corbyn.... https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/may/26/jeremy-corbyn-takes-security-risk-and-confounds-critics?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other recent history suggests that polls in the run up to elections are pretty useless but taking the latest figures at face value it seems to me that possibly we're heading for a hung parliament, which is the diametric opposite of what May called the election for hes been impressive tbh, because he's honest and doesn't answer in PR sound bites or Sun headlines. Big risk pointing out the link between terrorism and foreign intervention this week, think he's trying to point out to the less well informed among us " look folks we're really not like THAT Labour Party you all remember" .

Sweden wasn't under attack before US/UK went into Iraq. The whole world has become less safe. Huge events radicalise young Moslems and obviously the foreign policy of the early/mid 00s was complelty dictated by 9/11. The thing is going into Afghanistan to wipe out bin laden was probably justifiable. Going into Iraq on a blatant and obvious lie (millions marched against it, but what did they know?) is something that can't be blamed on a twisted ideology. That action created Isis. Locking jihadists and senior bathist military officers up in the same prison whilst nicking a sovereign state's oil, after deposing the man who kept a lid on things for 40 years is something that should be pointed out to the British public as a mistake iyam.

I've got that on 10" vinyl to quote the record sleeve itself: "music for mad lifted beat junkies"

Ajax looked young and played appropriately naively. Manu knew far too much for them, two scruffy goals, no real dramas
