  1. Read a bit about this today and it strikes me that the cps completely bungled the charges Stokes was tried on. He could have been charged not only with affray (quite often a "group" offence) but also ABH which would have concentrated on what he dished out himself. He may have been looking at 2 years if found guilty of ABH. Lucky boy.
  2. True Faith podcast with Rangers supporters from Sons of Struth & Follow Follow fanzine....some of their comments here concentrate the mind to put it mildly, some are economical with the truth and some are frankly fuckin scary about what influence Ashley had over Rangers with only 10% of the shares...we know fuck all about his true influence at NUFC..
  3. I doubt that in 2014 JC or anyone else thought he'd be in the running to be PM four years later. The two major political parties in the UK are dominated by fuckin cranks...am blaming the internet
  4. Highlights from yesterday's game with your commentator at St James Park, Abu Hamza
  5. If it wasn’t a half 12 kick off I’d have been in attendance myself Train didn’t get in till 1145 though Met the usual idiots in the clock, went to Newcastle Arms after. Got the train to Berwick where I waited 3 pints for a lift. Now at mothers with the mother and father of all hangovers after going down the village pub for a couple but ending up having maybe 6?? 🤢 Reasonably ok with the performance but seeing as spurs were blowing out their collective arse for the last 30mins we should’ve won really, they were out on their feet. Need to be more clinical in front of goal but decent strikers cost the money Ashley has no intention of investing. I bet Yedlin’s sleep last night was pitted with images of Dele Ali running away from him. He’s a fuckin arsehole but an excellent footballer. Just hoping to enjoy Rafas last hurrah now, hopefully this latest round of penny pinching is the prelude to a sale but very likely not.
  6. 3 ipa's in and the luvvies director is over for a chat. She looks uncanally like peak era Heather Small from M People Jock squaddie got on at York. Sleeve tattoo, beard, headphones on. He's sat next to me asleep and I need a piss Just arriving into Darlo
  7. Just left kings cross on the 0830 to Newcastke on my jack jones, wondering who might be up for some social imtercourse later once the cans come out after Newark... 4 student luvvy types banging on about preview shows & The Pleasance, plainly Edinburgh fringe bound.. 1 dolly bird doimg her make up, possibly eastern European. 1 bird opposite dolly bird with her head inside Instagram 1 lad of indeterminable Asian decent, at a guess I'd say Tamil/ southern Indian. Studious. Cans might be out before Peterborough at this rate
  8. @Monkeys Fist Eric Idle is a very underrated songwriter China Drum were a decent mid 90s noise/punk combo straight outta Ovingham, Tyne Valley Floyd weren't speaking to each other or any other fucker when they asked where they were from
  9. Point of order: only Greg Lake from ELP was from Dorset
  10. Well it's a recipe for treading water at best. The money Everton, West Ham, Wolves and Fulham have spent to finish 7th is fuckin ridiculous. Oh and Spurs
  11. Yeah but there is conceivable cover for Dr Mo in Ki... there's nothing for the other two. Unless there's a left back in the reserves?
  12. If Perez or Dummet get injured it's a massive problem. Especially Dummet. Who'd have thought that 18 months ago?

  14. Sounds like that other useful idiot Bannon is in league with Wonder if Boris would've got away with saying "those odd ooking fellows in beards and hats from Golders Green look like something from the 19th century"...
  15. This lad has been through a lot, still young enough for the u23s too. Fair play to him. https://www.nufc.co.uk/news/features/to-be-training-and-playing-now-is-kind-of-surreal-i-just-feel-dead-lucky-liam-gibsons-story
  16. “Bishop rides again”.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6032705/Newcastle-owner-Mike-Ashley-pantomime-villain.html
  17. Ladies & germs, I give you everyone’s favourite mackem adoring liberal sports print media heroine.... WKL: Newcastle have also made a £10m offer for Stanley N’Soki, Paris Saint‑Germain’s 19-year-old left‑back and remain in the market for a centre-half.
  18. No I'm only talking about the state who have murdered NUFC supporters. That's where I'm drawing the line. Feel free to justify any possible Russian involvement in the club any way you want to though. Am already fairly disillusioned with modern football in general and Boris Bollockoffski as owner would just put a tin hat on things. A US corporate rakeover of an English football club won't require Trumps approval. There's still enough left of US democracy and free trade to allow that.
  19. A new Russian owner of a top flight English football club will only happen with Putin's approval. The threat the Russian state imposes on western democracy is huge and allowing another foothold in the UK would be very, very wrong. There's a line, and the Russian state is on the wrong side of it.
  20. The Russian state murdered 2 Newcastle United fans in 2015. They've also murdered a UK citizen within the UK this year. I don't want that disgusting facist rogue state anywhere near my football club. Others can make their own minds up of course.
  21. Don't disagree with much of this. However, regardless of what we know about how he exploits the employees of SD, the amoral cunt Ashley is a legitimate businessman. Any Russian rich enough to give MA what he wants for us isn't likely to have started his business career with a couple of sports shops in suburban St Petersburg. This sounds like a defence of Ashley. It's not. It's disenchantment with the state of football ownership in England in general, It's utterly morally bankrupt and selling to a a Russian gangster is more likely to drive me away than a spell in the conference tbh.
