Hiya mate!

You get the impression Trump has got to where he is on drive and determination alone. I imagine meetings with him throughout his career have consisted of people pretending to listen intently then completely ignoring his instructions and just going and doing things properly.

The stadium or the overpriced rabbit hutches for brain dead wage slaves?

The Defiant Ones Dr Dre is a pretty extraordinarily person....his mate Jimmy Iovine has had an indescribably fuckin insane life though. Brilliant stuff.
-
Well he’s looked uninterested to me and last season he looked sharp and eager to get involved. I have no opinion on his character really, am not often on here criticising the players because it’s utterly fuckin pointless when we’re owned by Ashley. I wouldn’t blame any of them for aiming higher.
-
Maybe someone has said it on here before(?) but Kennedy has played most of the season as if his agent told him last summer that he’d end up at a “big club” and he’s gutted to be back here.

Almiron is the player Rafa has been waiting for. The midfielder with the pace to make runs from deep into space in front of the leader of the line. That utterly changes how we play at home immediately. I still think we’ll play within ourselves away from home but he has the pace to be deadly on the counter too. Hes the new Rob Lee.

Just watching Ms Berger now on Marr. First thought is the most socialist provincial city in the UK isn’t having an ultra London metropolitan Blairite parachuted into a safe urban northern constituency at the fag end of the New Labour project as their MP any longer. If I was one of her constituents I wouldn’t want her as my MP. So it looks like they’ve driven her out. She’s odds on to lose her seat at the next GE. As Gloom has pointed out though the tactics some have used to bully her out are fuckin repulsive and Corbyn appears to be doing nothing to stop it.

Puel sacked by Leicester Getting beat 1-4 at home by Palace will do that. Leicester look a pretty good squad on paper but are only 4 points ahead of us... -

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47329293 So it looks like Chelsea have cheated for well over a decade to get the best youth team on the planet then not played any of them in the first team -

Bishops were kings of Wembley back then -
Looks like it's extend article 50 or no deal? 🤔

The Tories told us all that cost too much money though

Agreed They're all utter cunts They're also about 15 years out if date in their thinking, the UK political landscape is vastly different. They want 2 things: 1. No brexit 2. No Corbyn. And that's it The political journos will fuckin love them, but I'd suggest it was easier for the SDP to gain some traction nearly 40 years ago than it will be for these. Theres probably going to be an election later this year. I expect half of them to lose their seats in it.

Just put it on....apparently there was another “clear and obvious” thingy that took about a month to assess Otamendi off
-
Why did it take 3 minutes to make a decision the other night in the Ajax v Madrid game? If you’ve got to look that hard then surely it’s not a “clear and obvious error” by the ref? If you want to take it to that level better to have the truck geeks to do it all then tell the ref? Not say “ err have a look” . what happens when the ref disagrees with the truck geeks? Game keeps flowing then. People in the stadium need to know when incidents are under review as soon as they start looking at it so they know play may be dragged back. If a ref suddenly blows up after a potential 3 minute look at an incident they then need to know why and what for etc. If VAR is to end the admittedly ridiculous current situation where viewers know more than the ref then that should go for the crowd at the game too.

Perfect

Pursuing the basic western post industrial political model where corporations & PLC's run the country and any given government are there just to rubber stamp their bullshit.
-
Well if we’re to make a go of it and for it to work “properly” for the people in the stadiums the decisions have to be taken out of the hands of the man in the middle and given to the team in the van back at Wembley. We’ll need some sort of on screen notification at the stadium to indicate something is under review. Then the ref can be signalled whether he’s been overruled and whether he should stop play or not. This will improve the flow of the game and decisions will be quicker.

I've worked as a contractor at Honda Swindon. As with all new towns, it's full of the descendents of post war inner cities i.e. Bristol & London. Pig ignorant and possessing an unbelievable bullet proof self assurance and utterly false sense of where they sit in society. They're basically the cider mackems.

Stand by for Toyota in Derby. Derbyshire 59% leave

Goal line tech is fact based. When it came in I said on this very forum that it would usher in all sorts of fancy do dahs and I was shouted down by the likes of you and Andrew and the rest of the IT crowd type geeks who also have some unfathomable interest in football. Time was you lot would be sat in your bedrooms fuckin terrified of the footy lads but you're getting your own back by hooking your fuckin fancy zx spectrums and Commodores up to the match to spoil it for it for every normal fucker out there Offside should be fact based but there's ample evidence to suggest it's still down to an individual's interpretation of the very wooly offside laws. See also my reply to @RobinRobin All joking aside, if VAR is here to stay the rules of the game WILL have to change because of it, so it will work properly, quickly and with the crowd in the stadium kept fully informed.

Hold on, I thought one of the big selling points for the cult of everything that is new, shiny and beeps is that the ref on the pitch still makes the final decision? So because it's been shown to be ill thought out and poorly applied nonsense you want to break one of the core tenats of the game?
