  1. In my opinion nobody in Westminster has the balls to call it like that. I'm no where near an expert but I cant see it if Johnson is sat in number 10 come August.
  2. No I completely agree with your point of view. I hardly need to post the terms of the referendum to you though do I? How do you suggest a people's vote or some other solution that might deliver sanity gets through parliament?
  3. It's over mate, they've won and they're winning all over the western world. Being on the right side of the see debate is irrelevant. The brexiteers have the power of democracy on their side, regardless of how corrupted it is. I've not really contributed much lately to this thread because I've been of the opinion for some time that if we want a semblance of democracy to survive in its present form we need to leave and that now almost certainly means no deal. Can't see much reconciliation for a good couple of decades untill the present shower at Westminster have exited the stage. Hopefully very much sooner they can take the two main parties with them and consign them to the toilet of history where they belong. Maybe we can then try for some sort of PR. People are at least engaged with the idea that change is necessary
  4. People are perfectly ok with being lied to by proven liars. As long as they agree with the lies they are being told theres not a problem. Were all fucked, as Rents said the other day, its time for each of us to look after ourselves and our loved ones. The message from the gullible to immigrants, NI & Scotland is "tough fuckin shit".
  5. The only concrete thing is Sunday’s statement. Ashley could of course use this to completely fuck Rafa & us over for the next two months without any intention of selling. That’s the same Ashley who rejected three documented bids from Staveley. Any potential buyers are unlikely to be the problem.
  6. Cockney Leyton Orient fan. The two old pricks in the afternoon on talkshite invite him on and he fuckin annihilates Ashley. I like him
  7. Are we saying that Ashley has put a bunch of apparently serious Middle Eastern businessmen up to creating a smokescreen to facilitate a. Rafa leaving when his contract runs out and b. creating enough confusion in the summer transfer window that we do little to no business at all? That, my friends, appears unlikely to me....
  8. I think Twitter journos who are paid in clicks are running this gig. Think I might hibernate till mid August
  9. Cleansing the image of his brutal feudal slave state via the medium of 21st century corporate sports ownership 😊
  10. You do know the odds on you regretting that bold statement are 50/50? These could be worse than Ashley. Am not asking anybody for a modicum of gratitude to be shown to Ashley in any way, shape or form. But I can think of at least half a dozen worse owners than him.
  11. https://www.football365.com/news/should-we-divorce-man-city-from-human-rights-abuses
  12. Best thing any incoming billionaire can do is buy the strawberry car park from the student flat cunts
  13. Villas manager looks like Yaxley Lennon’s older harder brother
  14. That was a generic, forum wide suggestion my dear old thing. You are, as always, the chilliest of the chilled This one is going to hurt when we’re still waiting for news on it in September mind...
  15. Got to say, I’m not as against it as I thought I’d be this morning Its the thought if Ashley actually leaving I think. Yes. That’s it. Honest.
  16. When Mansour bought Man City the sky cameras were at the ground with all the local goons in the background shouting & going etc and there was a little fat lad riding around on his kids bmx in a hastily prepared Arab headdress get up. It was very funny, but I went to a family do in Manchester a few years later and the cunt was there
  17. Aye quite possibly. Thing is, it’s Ashley + the sun, which you’d normally assume to = bullshit. Ive said it before, I don’t want Arab owners. I’d be more than happy if we owned & operated along the lines that Leicester are. Just a club moving forward who we could be proud of. Man City fans make me nauseous nowadays, Which is tricky because that’s half my family
  18. 1.Staveley had a bid submitted for the purchase of the club by Chris Mort of Freshfields Solicitors. They would indisputably would’ve required proof of funds before submitting the bid. George Caulkin states this here: https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/amanda-staveley-i-want-to-buy-newcastle-its-hurtful-and-absurd-to-call-us-time-wasters-2c05m05fh 2. Ashley then didn’t sell to Staveley. His choice but he then put out the bullshit that she wasn’t serious. 3. Kenyon apparently couldn't raise the funds to launch a bid. No way to tell if he was serious or not. He’s not spoken to the press on this. 4. Ashley doesn’t need to sell. 5. SJP is virtually SDs only advertising vehicle. 6. No one has mentioned Rafas contract this morning. 7. Chill the fuck oot
  19. Wonder why nobody has thought of that before? 🤔
  20. Watched these this morning... Conclusion: we’re all in a lot of trouble Possibly if we don’t leave the EU at the end of October we’ll get this lots’ version of democracy. Ordinary people love Farage, he’s far from stupid and is a natural charismatic salesman who tells people precisely what they want to hear. Bannon has banded all these types of characters together all over Europe and all we need to do is look at who sits in power in his homeland to see where all this may end up and how it happened. Looks to me European post war centralism/social democracy/small “c” Conservatism is on its deathbed. Things are changing.
  21. Piddle Valley, north of Dorchester Nice. Dull as shit, but nice This is in the neighbouring Cerne Valley though....
  22. Went at 7pm, quite busy in the pikey/millionaire borderland of SE Dorset. Polling station station is in a church. The vicar said hello to me.
