  1. I remember his sister well.... (1 min 18 šŸ˜‰ )
  2. I liked him plenty and thought he was absolutely the best manager we could possibly expect as long as Ashley was owner. But given the offer on the table from Ashley v the China offfer it would be interesting to see how hard he tried to reach a compromise. Donā€™t blame him in many ways but the simultaneous timings of the Caulkin piece & the confirmation of the deal (and that heā€™s trebled his money) suggests heā€™s pulled a bit a fast one and he knows it...
  3. Fuck off Rafa you were never going to sign
  4. This will show that Putin mind...a. weakened EU is the opposite of what he wants... https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2019/06/30/will-prove-vladimir-putin-wrong-leaving-eu-october-31/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
  5. Nowt as extreme as risking life & large scale damage of stock/premises.You can majorly inconvenience businesses though. That will probably get you nicked but just a fine though. I've often thought a picket of the SJP main carpark would work. Chain a dozen punters together at 11am across the entrance the day of the arsenal game. All waving placards: "I AM A MAG" like MLKs boys in the 60s. Optics would be great šŸ‘
  6. Thats why action at the club, although symbolically & practically good, is fairly worthless without hitting his shops. If the object is "to drive him out" people will have to start breaking the law.
  7. Theres been Russian tanks on the borders of the Baltic states, the very doorway from Russia into Europe & full EU members, for a decade or more. Trump wants to tear NATO apart. UK defence spending slashed by the Tories for 30 years now. One of the Brexit loons' favourite tropes is being hugely against any possible future EU army. Every sign points to it happening if you ask me šŸ‘
  8. From the FT. Post war liberalism isnā€™t dead but Putin & the rest of the gang appear to be slowly stabbing it to death,.. Russian politics Vladimir Putin says liberalism has ā€˜become obsoleteā€™ In an exclusive interview with the FT, the Russian president trumpets growth of national populism Vladimir Putin: '[Liberals] cannot simply dictate anything to anyone just like they have been attempting to do over the recent decades' Ā© Alamy June 28, 2019 2:42 am by Lionel Barber and Henry Foy in Moscow and Alex Barkerin Osaka Vladimir Putin has trumpeted the growth of national populist movements in Europe and America, crowing that liberalism is spent as an ideological force. In an FT interview in the Kremlin on the eve of the G20 summit in Osaka, Japan, the Russian president said ā€œthe liberal ideaā€ had ā€œoutlived its purposeā€ as the public turned against immigration, open borders and multiculturalism. Mr Putinā€™s evisceration of liberalism ā€” the dominant western ideology since the end of the second world war in 1945 ā€” chimes with anti-establishment leaders from US president Donald Trump to Hungaryā€™s Viktor Orban, Matteo Salvini in Italy, and the Brexit insurgency in the UK. ā€œ[Liberals] cannot simply dictate anything to anyone just like they have been attempting to do over the recent decades,ā€ he said. Mr Putin branded Chancellor Angela Merkelā€™s decision to admit more than 1m refugees to Germany, mainly from war-ravaged Syria, as a ā€œcardinal mistakeā€. But he praised Donald Trump for trying to stop the flow of migrants and drugs from Mexico. ā€œThis liberal idea presupposes that nothing needs to be done. That migrants can kill, plunder and rape with impunity because their rights as migrants have to be protected.ā€ Putin: friendship with China, ā€˜Donaldā€™ and the end of liberal ideas He added: ā€œEvery crime must have its punishment. The liberal idea has become obsolete. It has come into conflict with the interests of the overwhelming majority of the population.ā€ Donald Tusk, the European Council president, said he ā€œstrongly disagreedā€ with Mr Putin. ā€œWhat I find really obsolete is authoritarianism, personality cults and the rule of oligarchs,ā€ he said. As the de facto ruler of Russia for almost two decades, Mr Putin, 66, has been regularly accused of covertly supporting populist movements through financial aid and social media, notably in the 2016 US presidential election, the Brexit referendum and the recent European Parliament elections. Mr Putin emphatically denied this. He dismissed the conclusion by special counsel Robert Mueller that Russia had systemically interfered in the 2016 US presidential election as ā€œmythical interferenceā€. Turning to the US-China trade war and geopolitical tensions in the Gulf between the US and Iran, Mr Putin said the situation had become ā€œexplosiveā€. The problem, he said, stemmed from American unilateralism and the lack of rules underpinning world order. Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin talking to FT editor Lionel Barber and Moscow bureau chief Henry Foy Ā© Press office of the President of Russia He expressed concern about the threat of a renewed nuclear arms race between the US and Russia. ā€œThe cold war was a bad thingā€‰.ā€‰.ā€‰.ā€‰but there were at least some rules that all participants in international communication more or less adhered to or tried to follow. Now, it seems that there are no rules at all,ā€ he said. On a positive note, Mr Putin said there were tentative signs of a thaw in Anglo-Russian relations ahead of his meeting in Osaka with Theresa May, her farewell summit as UK prime minister. ā€œI think Russia and UK are both interested in fully restoring our relations, at least I hope a few preliminary steps will be made.ā€ Relations between London and Moscow have been frozen after the attempted assassination of former Russian double agent Sergei Skripal in Salisbury, England. Treason is the gravest crime possible and traitors must be punished. I am not saying that the Salisbury incident is the way to do itā€‰.ā€‰.ā€‰.ā€‰but traitors must be punished The UK government blames the Russian government for the nerve agent attack, but Mr Putin said there was no evidence to support this. Mr Skripal had served a sentence in Russia before being released in a spy swap with the UK, he noted. Mr Putin made clear, however, that he had zero tolerance for spies who betrayed their country. ā€œTreason is the gravest crime possible and traitors must be punished. I am not saying that the Salisbury incident is the way to do itā€‰.ā€‰.ā€‰.ā€‰but traitors must be punished.ā€ Theresa May, the UK prime minister, said she will demand the suspects in the attack are extradited and ā€œbrought to justiceā€ when she sees Mr Putin on Friday ā€” their first face-to-face meeting since the incident. ā€œWe would be open to a different relationship with Russia but if that is going to happen then Russia needs to stop its activity that undermines international treaties and undermines our collective security like what happened on the streets of Salisbury,ā€ she told journalists en route to Osaka. In recent years, Mr Putin has become emboldened, presiding over the annexation of Crimea, a pro-Russian revolt in eastern Ukraine and a military intervention in Syria which he described as a clear-cut success. Apart from killing thousands of radical Islamists and shoring up President Bashar al-Assadā€™s regime, Mr Putin said the exercise had given Russiaā€™s armed forces invaluable fighting experience. Recommended Transcript: ā€˜All this fuss about spiesā€‰.ā€‰.ā€‰.ā€‰it is not worth serious interstate relationsā€™ He made no mention of the fact the seven-year-old war has resulted in more than 5m refugees and 500,000 dead. However, he did point to the waves of immigration from conflict zones in Africa and the Middle East which had fostered crime and social strains, in turn fuelling an anti-establishment backlash in Europe. Echoing nationalist populists such as Mr Salvini and Franceā€™s Marine Le Pen, Mr Putin said liberal governments had not acted to reassure citizens. Instead they had pursued a mindless multiculturalism embracing, among other things, sexual diversity. ā€œI am not trying to insult anyone because we have been condemned for our alleged homophobia. But we have no problem with LGBT persons. God forbid, let them live as they wish,ā€ he said. ā€œBut some things do appear excessive to us. They claim now that children can play five or six gender roles.ā€ ā€œLet everyone be happy, we have no problem with that,ā€ he added. ā€œBut this must not be allowed to overshadow the culture, traditions and traditional family values of millions of people making up the core population.
  9. Heā€™s a massive contradiction, willing to gamble millions on dying high street brands all over the UK but not willing to invest in a manager and players that literally guarantee a massive income every single year without fail. Iā€™ve been reading back a few old interviews of his. I think heā€™s always been wary of ceding control of the club to others and letting them spend his money. Thereā€™s one where he says if heā€™d invested 10 million into a high street business heā€™d see benefits immediately but Colllocini cost 10 mill + wages for 5 years. Itā€™s that sort of thing he canā€™t get his head round iyam.
  10. If the Sunday papers have more shit up their sleeve is there a chance heā€™ll pull out? The self entitled prick has been waiting all his life for this moment but does he want it enough? šŸ¤”

HE TOOK IT ALL AWAY He took it all away The passion that I had He did nothing that was good All of it was bad That feeling deep inside My heart bursting with Geordie pride The excitement on match day He just took it all away The very essence of being a ā€˜clubā€™ He made it all pointless As he dragged our proud name repeatedly through the mud A laughing stock of the game Ever since the day he came He could not lie straight in bed You can not believe a word he says False promises season after season He took away the reason This club exists to represent the City He cares nothing of that concept Every transfer window skimping on the kitty The green bit in the middle Where the team play the game we call football To him That means nothing Holds no interest to him at all The bank account is where heā€™s at Profit Make no mistake of that He belittled Kevin Keegan And now Rafa....he is leaving He brought in Joe Kinnear Oh dear And even Dennis Wise Nee wonder heā€™s despised He drank pints with the fans Desecrated the ground with red and blue signage Adorning each and every stand Red and blue He hasnā€™t got a clue He cares nothing of me and you Black and white are our colours Stripes upon the top Not red and blue Representing some second rate tat sports shop History and tradition He knows nothing of what that meant He treats Tyneside and itā€™s people with total disregard and contempt His arrogance knows no bounds He even tried to change the name of the ground A few reasons I have stated Reasons why heā€™s hated Twice relegated From the Premier League And yet Heā€™s still here I find that so hard to believe Surely The time has come to make a stand Against this arrogant and obnoxious greed diseased self indulgent man Like we would have done years ago When we were the best supporters in the land But not now No not now Because we have no battle cry As we sit and watch our famous football club Crumble and slowly die And that is what I hate most of all Not standing up for our beliefs And if that means an empty St Jamesā€™s Park So be it Make a statement Thousands outside Standing on Tyneside streets Or did you never go for the cause Was all about a pint and a pie Was it never in your heart That for Newcastle United you would die It is not just about winning a football game Rolling over and being dictated to Like a lion tamed Itā€™s about the passion Itā€™s about identity About belonging Itā€™s about your Geordie pride But sadly It looks that like our football club That has slowly died And I am sorry to say So sad to say We let Mike Ashley Take it all away Keith Barrett of cockney mafia flag fame.
  12. Iā€™m didnā€™t see skyā€™s coverage, Iā€™m in Rhodes supposed to be having an internet free week with the current Mrs PL whose birthday it was yesterday Sky are pushing the line about China , talk sport are doing the same and theyā€™re both owned by the the same company. It does give some confirmation to me anyway that Ashley or someone close to him has influence in the way NUFC are covered by this lot and many have suspected this for years.

  17. I read it ok šŸ¤” Canā€™t now though. It was maybe available for an hour or so last night? Anyway, esteemed football writer Simon Kuper was at Oxford the roughly same time as Gove, Hunt,Cameron, Johnson, Rees Mogg etc and he confirms theyā€™re all utter cunts. He also says Brexit & the leadership election bare grim echoes for elections to be president of the Oxford Union. Itā€™s a really interesting read. Honest.
